I agree with you right up to that point. The thing is, it would only make him guilty of some lesser crime. The question I have is whether or not he was the one who escalated this from what amounted to a verbal confrontation to a physical altercation. The problem I have is that Zimmerman was bleeding from the back of the head, according to the police reports. That strongly suggests that he was NOT the aggressor in terms of the physical altercation. If there is a trial, I think that will be the key question.

No,blacks are the only ones who think they can commit a crime and get away with it. I remember something that happened years ago when I was doing christmas shopping at Macys with my ex girlfriend.There was a black guy running towards the door as we were going in.The whole time he was saying "I ain't done nothing" (his words).Yeah,security caught him outside and it turned out he had a lot clothes stuffed under his jacket.My point is that's typical of the black race.They commit crimes then cry racism when they get caught.

Amen to that! The reason this is getting so much publicity is because whites are the minority. If Zimmerman was black and the kid white this would be a wayyyy different ballgame.

Because I live in the middle of nowhere where everybody would be suspicious regardless of race. I don't live in a city I live in the country. Im putting myself into a hypothetical situation that relates to the story. Ill rephrase. If ANYBODY was out here in the dark it would be highly suspicious. And I would investigate with my gun as my protection.

It looks like Zimmerman has allready been convicted. Now were just waiting on the pesky trial part to take place.

Not everyone lives in cramped subdivisions like I guess you do. My lawn is my road and is my neighbors road. Im done answering about trivial things such as this.

This reminds me of the Jasper,Texas murder of the "poor defenseless black man killed by racists and dragged behind truck". What the racists poverty pimps and complicit media didn't tell you is that the "poor black man" was the bag man for the drug dealers that killed him when he showed up without the money he was supposed to deliver.

I am not trying to excuse the horrific nature of the crime, but to point out that the race baiting of Jesse Jackson, Obama and the media does not give you the entire story on anything, but particularly something sensationalized like this.

This unarmed kid (and at 17 he was a kid) was shot and killed by a fella for no good reason The kid was breaking no laws – if he had broken any laws you can bet your bottom dollar the local police would have spread that information far and wide to justify their decision not to prosecute. His death is worthy of more than a cursory investigation. (Notice colour doesn’t come into that equation)

And of course he didn’t belong in a ‘gated community’ but don’t you question that the society you live in necessitates this fortified existence and its ‘them or us’ mentality?

Something occurred to me as I watched Sharptons ramblings and all the "hoodie" photo protests and all the marches this morning on TV.

All these people saying "could have been my son" and "we want justice" and so on.

Even if it's a cold blooded murder, why all the attention?

Just yesterday in the city I grew up in 4 black teens were killed in gang related violence. Nobody cares. Everyday in cities all over the country kids are dying for the color of their clothing. Some completely innocent bystanders or targeted because a third cousin in another state hit on the wrong girl at a party.

Those incidents don't get marches. They don't take the top news spot every night for a week or more. They don't get NBA players protesting.

The fickle public seems painfully oblivious to real consistent problems while they focus laser like attention on anomalous cases with little to no information available.

It all seems so backwards and stupid.
