If iran puts mines near the small entrance and sinks ships, how is anything going to go in or out without pulling up one or two sunken ships? That means all, ALL activities will be halted in that event. I think that is why iran built small subs to duck and cover, even those small boats they have will easily cross above any sunken ships. The passage there at the tip is so small and so shallow, it is a trap for anyone iran does not like. If such an event happens, i wonder how this will effect the nation of china and others who has oil deals with iran. If that happens then people would have to lob missles across a whole other country whom may or may not be willing to do so because of implications of who's side is on who's. and iran will attack that country for doing so. If this happens, it will be a missle strike first. The largest missle strike ever seen. Iran will exspect this and concentrate it's strength underwater to sink ships that defy them. The whole thing is crazy. A bad idea. It will cause a domino effect that i fear will lead to a long war. I hope they do more peace talks.
Oh common, the straight at its narrowest point is 35 miles. They would have to sink a lot of ships and If you think the U.S. Navy wont sink the entire Iranian navy after the first ship is sunk by them your not thinking correct. The days of warning Iran are over, I guess they didn't learn their lesson from Operation Praying Mantis.
Let me see U.S. Navy Virgina or Sea-wolf class sub verses 1950's Russian clunker sub. I would use one Sea-wolf class sub and take out the entire Iranian Navy and that is an absolute fact.
No it's narrow point is less than 5 miles and you have to steer to the deep areas to get thru with our ships. FACT.

Sure, it doesn't launch a war, but it butters them up and prepares them for one. If one does happen, they'll have the reasons programmed into their minds already.
Believe me, I steer clear of that baseless war propaganda, but that's not the case for many others.
After the turnover, Kitty Hawk arrived at Bremerton, Washington in September and was informally retired on 31 January 2009.here

I'm sure he was a great dude. I really admire him for getting through sniper school. That # is NOT a cake walk.
I'm interested in the steps you took to acquire this job. Did you have to go through a military branch? Did you approach them or did they approach you? What qualifications did you have to meet? You're welcome to U2U me the info you're able to give, if you'd like.edit on 5-1-2012 by apodictic because: (no reason given)
