How is it censorship, or denying AJ freedom of speech? he can still show up somewhere and spout his crap. No one says he can't.

The OWS'ers simply don't want to associated themselves with him, and thus, are not going to sanction him, or accept association with him. And on their forums, which is their own site, they, like any site moderator, have the right to pick and choose what sorts of things are permitted.

Alex Jones supporters are free to go anywhere else they wish if they don't like the movement. No one is being denied any rights here. Alex Jones is still free to be the fool. Just without the support or warm fuzzies of the OWS movement.

Which, you know, is their right. Just like its the right of, say, people protesting racial discrimination refusing to associate, spread the propoganda of, or march with the Ku Klux Klan or skinheads. Alex Jones is still free to show up at a demonstration and behave in his usual televangelist clownish way. He'll end up getting shunned or causing problems.

But his first amendment rights are still there, intact, violated by no one. Please.

You can believe what you want. If something like that became a problem on my website I would ban it. Conspiracy content alienates people. Especially stuff like Alex Jones, that's way out there.

They haven't banned anyone from the movement as far as I know. Just things from the website to make sure that Occupy is not seen as a promotion site for conspiracy theories.

Wait a minutes.

Hold the Phone here.
Double Standard.

OWS supporter can post on a Conspiracy site all day long yet a Conspiracy theorist cannot post on theirs.

Too Funny

its liberal mentality.. they are okay to share as long as its not there stuff they are sharing

This is not an insult to anyone's intelligence but is a fact and to take it as anything else means the problem lies within you.

Congratulations you posted a COMMENT on the Moderation Rules page. You if you're registered can also do so, you can clearly see the rules seperate from the comments.

Still cant come to grips with "being" wrong, and DEFINITELY wont admit it..................

Just because his name is NOT on there now, doesn't mean his banning,or posters like him, with their philosophy wont be banned.

Even on ATS,some things slip past Mods.(Not often though)

Not even nearly....

Conspiracy theorists can post on there all they like from what I read in the OP and from other posts, just don't post conspiracy theories and parrot AJ crap... let people discuss actual reality and come up with reasonable and logical solutions etc... seems pretty reasonable.

ATS does not allow discussions of many topics which are extremely relevant to conspiracies and the like.. and yet its motto is "Deny Ignorance" That is the epitome of hypocrisy.

Yet we are all here, enjoying it.

The point is, with any website, there MUST be rules and decorum, at least that's what we're told.

So we accept that.

It's only because you and others seek to constantly attack this movement and spread crap about it, that you are all even commenting on it....

ATS is not for or against conspiracy. I cannot find anywhere on the site that would suggest they are for debunking them or entertaining them. They do promote their examination though, which is why I'm here.

ATS is also not here to promote a politically charged movement. If it were, you can bet your behind that it would be far more strict.

Doc,

HE OFFICIAL STANCE OF THE #OOCUPYEVERYTHING - OCCUPY TOGETHER - #OCCUPYWALLSTREET MOVEMENTS AND ALL ASSOCIATED MARCHES & OCCUPATIONS THROUGHOUT THE PLANET CURRENTLY :

This group wants absolutely nothing to do with the corrupt 2 party oligarchy as both have been bought and paid by the banks, The Federal Reserve and Wall Street and does not need nor require money from 1%'rs and to say anything otherwise is a major dis service to this group and movement as a whole as we see people like Soros as being apart of the problem and does not endorse millionaires or billionaires. No corporate dollars are welcomed and if one were to attempt to finance this movement it would be rejected and returned with a note saying "No sale!"!

To believe anything else means you are being seriously deceived and tricked and said source should not be trusted or taken seriously and if it does not come from the aforementioned it is not to be taken as the official stance. No General Assembly in any group throughout the planet will amend this ever!

STRONG EMPHASIS UPON THE FOLLOWING AND CANNOT BE EXPRESSED ENOUGH :
Unless it comes from Occupy Together, Occupy Everything, #Occupy Wall Street, NYC General Assembly or any of the countless official "Occupy" family of sites it does not speak for this movement and the movement will not endorse any site outside of our family of sites. Adbusters does not speak for us, Tides does not speak for us, no union speaks for us, The American Socialist Party does not speak for us, The Communist Party does not speak for us, Nancy Pelosi, Obama, Biden, The Democratic National Committee, The Republican Nation Committee, The Tea Party, Libertarian movement or any other political party or figurehead does not speak for us and neither do they represent us! neither does any group that has decided to join us under their own free will and volition but even those groups and our partner firms do not speak for us! We speak for ourselves!

All are welcomed from all faiths, ethnic groups, political persuasions, LBGTI, animal and kid friendly as we will not discriminate, we will be friendly to all. Illicit narcotics (marijuana to meth while all scrips prescribed to a fellow protester are obviously allowed) and liquor (all forms) use are banned and will get someone expelled and turned over to law enforcement. Come as you are! Remember, there is no member of the 1% that is on this website which means we are all The 99%! .

right. it's private property when it's theirs, but everyone's property when it's yours.

I don't know but the slogan of "DENY IGNORANCE" says it all loud and clear and speaks volumes about the intent and purpose of ATS.

Forget OWS man, they're nothing more than the partisan opposite of the Tea Party. Both movements are just as bought and paid for as the establishment politicians that control them. Discussions about Ron Paul aren't welcome on the Tea Party's "official" facebook page either, and you get banned for mentioning him in a positive light. Anytime a populous movement develops, the establishment is quick to determine which wing is more closely aligned with their general ideology, and they quickly take it over from there. Of course, the establishment hasn't been able to do that with Ron Paul, or his supporters. So, we're not welcome many places.

The problem with that argument is that when you speak to "SOME" OWS supporters on the street as I have a large part of whats motivating them are based on Conspiracy theories.

Second and most importantly [I'm not a AJ FAN]

So in order for you to take us seriously we must conform to the wills of the SCUM and The corrupt oligarchy by embracing whatever they want to throw at us?

Get real.

Reread this 10 times before you hit the reply tab please? :

I was just heading out the door when this bit of Poppycock needed to be addressed.

Yet, That's exactly what ATS OWS supporters are doing here day in and day out 24/7 mostly unrestricted by the site.

Promoting OWS.
