The real culprits are the Federal Reserve. It should have been 'End the Fed' from the beginning.

Good lord.

Who on earth do you think owns the Fed?!?

Exactly! Lots of braindead individuals make statements without really understanding who is running things behind the curtain and how. The Old World Order in actuallity is the New World Order with a different shirt on.

Old Money equals New Money. By going after wall street we are also going after the FED and all big banks, the military industrial complex, big pharmacy, religion, etc. It is unbelievable how some people cannot comprehend what the 99% is. It is not about the millionares(except maybe as far as the bought-out democrats are concerned), it is about the billionares and especially the trillionares who hoarde and park all their funds in undisclosed bank accounts, thus starving the markets for cash and starving the government from meeting its obligations.

We don't need new taxes, we simply need to collect from the greedy and redistribute!

Actually the most likely outcome will be martial law.

I don't think it is likely they will declare martial law unless they are prepared for a civil war like none before. How many americans have weapons, how many troops will go with the corrupt government and how many with the people?

Gadafahi though he was invincible as well and now he is dead. Just saying sooner or later something BIG will happen. I don't know if aliens will invade, an asteroid will strike us, a full civil war like the 18th century between north and south, rich people getting killed, dead zombies will rise from below, whatever........

Just be prepared and don't quit.

Yeah this is probably what will happen because they will probably use weapons instead also this could be an excuse by them to bring it in.

If the OWS movement had, let's say, 100 million participants, then the PTB would sit up and take notice. Up to now, only a small percentage of the American people participated, which shows the average Joe does not want things to change (for various reasons, mainly ignorance).

i dont know about you, but i deffinatly do my part. I just want to ask you one thing:

Besides a huge amount of argumentative and somewhat negative nature on alot of threads here at ATS, what reason do you have to beleive that WE have failed?

Do you want us to provide a list of the true owners for you?

What exactly is your objection here?

Why has the Good Lord been invoked upon LightAssasin?

Hello Americans!

First of all, being a citizen of Germany, I appreciate you, because the people of the United States Of America helped my country to get rid of one of the most horrible regimes this planet has ever seen.

So if I give you some advise, I don't do this, because I'm a hypocrite, but because I'm thankful for all you've done to prevent this world becoming a Nazi-hell.

It's my honest opinion, that your nation only can be saved, if you can overcome that left-right-paradigm, that keeps your nation trapped in a stranglehold. If the people of the tea-party and the people of the occupy-movement unite their powers and proclaim a common goal.

That shouldn't be too difficult, because - in fact - you're all in the same mess (as most people of this world are): You're exploited by a corporate regime, that doesn't care for the benefits of the majority of your people, but only for it's very own benefits.

Imagine just one thing: What course history would have taken, if in those (not so) long gone days your people would have been divided in the question, if the Nazi-Regime should have been stopped or not.

Back in those days, you people have been wise enough to seperate right from wrong. You knew what had to be done, and finally you won.

I hesitate to give up hope, that you americans once more finally will know, what to do.

To quote a character in of my most favorite american movies:

"May the force be with you!"

You shouldn't generalize Americans in a positive light they are far worse than what you make them out to be.

I think you are intentionally misunderstanding what I am saying. I am not for a rushed revolution, all I am saying is that when the time comes people will have to choose sides and choosing a side should be easy as long as you are not completely retarded.

In fact I am starting to hope the government becomes less self-destructing so that people have more time to do more research. I am hoping for government success! What a nice guy, heh?

Sorry for asking you the "basics" but your one line posts are "suspicious".

Im confused it should not matter entirely where you pitch your protest tent
a protest should be a show of support through numbers,be it a walk through the park or RIGHT out side the federal reserve or wall street .So people saying we should have pitched out side the fed is ridicules if the numbers are there the government should at least listen and start a dialogue with the protesters in our case the 99% to see how to implement our changes. The government and the 1% knew fare well that we would not be able to organise a big enough support chain to force there hand. Due to lack of public understanding of the hole 1% percent scenario and who is truly to blame this is apparent when i try to explain to most ppl in my everyday life.(ATSers probably have same problem as i do) Every protest that has happened in history has had a clear cut enemy to through our message at a simple message with one voice like black rights, Iraq war, Vietnam war and so on with these the message was one word for each example black rights (equality) and so on and these movements did not require much insight in to the matter as the effects where so simple for all to see. OWS protesters could only preach what they understand like loss of jobs, house repossession and so forth it is a given that all theses effects are linked to one source. BUT most can not link these effects to a clear enemy. They truly do not know who to blame. FOR OWS to succeed we need to educate the 99% on a wider scale than any protest as ever done in history before we challenge

[color=dodgerblue]I can agree with that statement.

I frequently speak with my dear old Dad about current events and he said the same thing. Occupy is barking up the wrong tree. They need to Occupy the whitehouse if they truly want to make a difference.

And I think he was totally right.

But that doesn't matter at least people are barking!
Getting people to wake up and pay attention.

Agreed~! When real eyes, realize, real lies, THEN and ONLY then will they wake up and STOP voting at the polls, for anything period, that is the ONLY voice the government will hear.

Because the tea party folks are a bunch of hypocrites. They try to differentiate between government and wall street when the two are intrinsically linked by common goals and interests. There is absolutely no reason to be against OWS unless you belong to the 1% or are a paid shill.

I suspect we have many paid shills. I used to be annoyed by their presence but alas they make my ATS experience less boring. If everyone agreed all the time it would not be fun!

OP, you may think OWS is 'over' but I see no signs of anything dying down.

Protests on the street is only the beginning of what will unlitmately be a tidal wave of change.

Congress has a 9% approval rating.

Nine percent.

Any incumbent with corporate ties will be receiving their severance pay soon enough.

The banks will fall under their own weight.

An unbalanced system cannot stand.

Occupy Wall Street was but the Grand Day Out, a field trip.

You cannot arrest an idea who's time has come.

I will choose to sit by myself than to stand with these people. I will not stand for a cause when no one had a clue as to what they were protesting for except 'change'. It was a collective group of Obamas in my eyes.

The Tea Party could have used your help. Where were you? Or did you fall into 'everyone there is racist' garbage coming from the msm? The Tea Party actually got people elected who they think will help change this mess we are in. The OWS movement went on a camping trip causing people who HAD jobs to be late for work and trashed parks across the country.
