You're more than welcome to come stay at my place mate! I would quite enjoy teaching you all about Australia and our magnificent way of life here!
It really isn't that much different to America, we call some things different names and perhaps Aussies are a lot more relaxed in general but honestly it's nothing an American or anyone else for that matter should be afraid of sharing with us or learning about.
I do get why Vegemite is hated by Americans though hehe. Contrary to popular opinion, not all Aussies like the stuff....I almost dry wretch from the smell whenever my wife has it on her toast for brekky....edit on 17/11/2011 by Kryties because: (no reason given)

I was under the impression that one of the main reasons we don't currently speak Japanese, is the involvement of the USA in the pacific. A strengthening of an old alliance should not be cause for great concern, although I don't like the cage rattling in China's direction. There is also a particlarly high concentration of a particular religion not very fond of us, just to the North of Darwin. Going by history, I think I would rather the Marines and USAF watching our backs in Darwin rather than the Brits in England.

You all have some cash, I get to own guns all the guns I want.
Except, of course, Aussies don't view gun ownership in the same way Americans covet it, something many Americans just don't understand. That's used against us by Americans but we Aussies really don't give two hoots - our lives aren't dictated by whether we can blow our neighbours' head off or not (we try to get along with our neighbours ).edit on 17/11/2011 by Kryties because: (no reason given)

Wow, all 1,000 Marines against the 20 million strong Chinese armed forces?
Ok then!
No, you WOULD rather have the Brits watching your backs, as I recall they were fighting in the Pacific just like everyone else, not to mention making sure the Nazi threat was non existence for you Aussies.
Rather insulting to your own serviceman to say that if was USA who fought off the Japanese. Very ignorant of you.

Has any country ever invaded China? So why would China want to invade Australia?

Man, We who have guns do not want to blow are neighbors heads off gees.
We own guns to protect our constitutional rights, and the rights of our neighbors.
The first thing dictators and tyranny in general does is disarm the population.
When they come for our kids or property, what should we do slap them with a vegemite sandwich?
No, we take up arms against them, And my neighbors will all come out packing iron too. Now those are real neighbors.
