Thankyou, once again, for proving how little you know about other countries and cultures - even the ones you claim to share alliances with.

There aren't any US bases in the UK, almost all US personnel have left the UK since the Cold War as it is pointless for them to be there.

Anyway, 1,000 troops in Australia is not going to scare China, not least american-trained.

You're more than welcome to come stay at my place mate! I would quite enjoy teaching you all about Australia and our magnificent way of life here!

It really isn't that much different to America, we call some things different names and perhaps Aussies are a lot more relaxed in general but honestly it's nothing an American or anyone else for that matter should be afraid of sharing with us or learning about.

I do get why Vegemite is hated by Americans though hehe. Contrary to popular opinion, not all Aussies like the stuff....I almost dry wretch from the smell whenever my wife has it on her toast for brekky....

I blend in wherever i go. Do you think i go someplace and try to change it because i am there?

The main thing to know about the U.S is every state is like a country. The EU is like the U.S and the countries are states. Every state in the U.S is like a country. New Yorkers are different from Californians etc.

I've got a nice spot picked out on Mars. I'll set me up a TV, a nice chair, a telescope and an esky full of beer and nibblies.

When it's all over, and the dust clears, i'll meander back and pick out a nice spot to start helping rebuild civilisation.

I was under the impression that one of the main reasons we don't currently speak Japanese, is the involvement of the USA in the pacific. A strengthening of an old alliance should not be cause for great concern, although I don't like the cage rattling in China's direction. There is also a particlarly high concentration of a particular religion not very fond of us, just to the North of Darwin. Going by history, I think I would rather the Marines and USAF watching our backs in Darwin rather than the Brits in England.

Wow, all 1,000 Marines against the 20 million strong Chinese armed forces?

Ok then!

No, you WOULD rather have the Brits watching your backs, as I recall they were fighting in the Pacific just like everyone else, not to mention making sure the Nazi threat was non existence for you Aussies.

Rather insulting to your own serviceman to say that if was USA who fought off the Japanese. Very ignorant of you.

I don't like Obama. However I think this a smart move by the people who told him to do it.

We need to eventually establish a single republic for the whole world, a peaceful republic that stands for freedom and justice for all of mankind. One that is for the people and not institutions or government, one in which the people hold the power not large corporations, big banks, and massive militarized governments.

This has to be done by someone and the Americans are doing their best, they have come closer than anyone ever has in the history of the world. The Americans are about peace it is a peaceful nation, sometimes it takes bloodshed to achieve peace and that is unfortunate, but sometimes it is the only way to stop ideologies that have been proven to only benefit a small few but yet hurt mankind as a whole.

Where is all the love?
What happens to all the love we make, where does it go?
Where does all the love go that we give each other?
All this love that we feel inside, what happens to it?

If love is so eternal then there should be an over abundance of it here on Earth.

Or is it taken from us as we create it, harvested from us by an outside force, leaving just enough with us that we don't go mad and explode into a worldwide violent warpath of self destruction of mankind.

Is there hope for us? Or are we always going to be this way? look at how long we have been warring with each other........sense the beginning. It is sad to think about, about how long we have been fighting with each other, about how there has NEVER been peace on Earth.

It seems that we are meant to or programmed to perceive our selves as progressing because in all actual reality we are going nowhere now and haven't gone anywhere in the past and yet we perceive progress.

This world is sad and its all because of greed, all because of greed. Greed and selfishness is at the root of all evil.

If I had one wish I would wish that there was one big ballet and everyone in the world could voice their opinion together.

You Aussies are slacking now matey.
The sign is clear:

Put your PM in the treason. Get a better one. Vote out and put them under microscope.
Dont let them bring war theater to the area. Let them sink and we just watch. Its all good all these years until now.

Nobody need debt ridden war mongering eagles here. We are fine by our own.

Kangaroos need to kick the eagles out before it neighbours start coughing. Do not change the missile coordinates to the area.
Got it mate ?

Actually I'm pretty sure they've been bugging Tibet for a while now - although I'm also fairly sure the reason they haven't fully invaded and taken Tibet over is because they know what happens when you piss off a country full of Buddhist Monks trained in all sorts of martial arts from an early age.....that's like stepping into a room full of bear traps.....

Except, of course, Aussies don't view gun ownership in the same way Americans covet it, something many Americans just don't understand. That's used against us by Americans but we Aussies really don't give two hoots - our lives aren't dictated by whether we can blow our neighbours' head off or not (we try to get along with our neighbours

Man, We who have guns do not want to blow are neighbors heads off gees.
We own guns to protect our constitutional rights, and the rights of our neighbors.
The first thing dictators and tyranny in general does is disarm the population.
When they come for our kids or property, what should we do slap them with a vegemite sandwich?
No, we take up arms against them, And my neighbors will all come out packing iron too. Now those are real neighbors.

Sorry for going a little off topic but if this is so, why aren't you using them now? It's a genuine question mate, and one that should be addressed given the current state of America and it's people.

I would hazard a guess and say it is because you realise that TPTB have bigger guns than you and point them at you regularly to remind you of them.

You don't need guns until your government shoves one in your face. Then what will you do? Smite them with a kangaroo sandwich?
