Except, of course, Aussies don't view gun ownership in the same way Americans covet it, something many Americans just don't understand. That's used against us by Americans but we Aussies really don't give two hoots - our lives aren't dictated by whether we can blow our neighbours' head off or not (we try to get along with our neighbours
).

Man, We who have guns do not want to blow are neighbors heads off gees.
We own guns to protect our constitutional rights, and the rights of our neighbors.
The first thing dictators and tyranny in general does is disarm the population.
When they come for our kids or property, what should we do slap them with a vegemite sandwich?
No, we take up arms against them, And my neighbors will all come out packing iron too. Now those are real neighbors.

i keep hearing that protecting our rights crap yet nothing, us Aussies don't need guns but then again we are Australian

You don't need guns until your government shoves one in your face. Then what will you do? Smite them with a kangaroo sandwich?

-Alien

China didn’t care or give any consideration about the people of Tibet when they took that over. China needs resources and has its eye on Australia, they are just trying to figure out what the cost would be of such a move…..this latest response is just to say Hi

Who do you believe

Has any country ever invaded China? So why would China want to invade Australia?

exactly

If the U.S was not around it is not far fetched to say "maybe there would have been a hell of a lot more invading going on".

Look at prior to WW2. I call that a hell of a lot of invading.

Maybe we could use urine as an attractant? Drain the urine from the "Washrooms" we set up for the Americans and use it to lure the little buggers straight to Parliament House! Get some bang for our $65 million dollar buck - so to speak.....

Does not mean you have to live in the past but if you dont even acknowledge it then you are in denial. And YOU are in denial.

So is Kryties.

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

That does not necessarily mean that we need to cling to the past though, as that stifles progress.

Our grandfathers fought those wars, not us. We moved on a long time ago, why haven't you?

My hunch.... is that the 2,500 Marines will be used as an evcuation force for Taiwan, when/or if President Obama refuses to abide by any defense treaty signed with the U.S. and Taiwan. China has promised to drop the 1 trillion dollar debt that the U.S. owes to China; if China is allowed to conquer Taiwan.

I am in full support of this move.

Cheers,

I hope the OP Kryties or whomever is OP AussieAmandaCis, is happy with with number of stars and flags he is getting. Probably attention seeking at best, without honest conscience as usual. Only that flags do not signify one's likes, only one's attempt to bring attention on rights or Falshoods.

Kryties, you claimed 'fear mongering' on the realtiy of what's happening today in the part of the hemisphere you share with Asia?

By all means, enjoy your delusion. Go ahead and get your 1% to protest on the streets, if you dare or can instead of thinking that stars and flags here are more important, and thus you continued intake of blue pills, while the rest of the world have to accept the red pill of reality - a belligerant and ambitious China CCP gov that had alread flexed its 2 million strong military might, with 4 carrier battle groups under construction now.

You may be blind, or wish to be blind, but may others be not be blind as you are. It is one thing to seek for stars and flag here or for your own selfish personal ego worshipping, but quite another when the question of innocent lives are at stake with reality. This is no 'fear mongering', but only a reality that had blossomed over the months to keener minds, and will become a flashpoint if not addressed seriously now.

No human wants war or seeks for war or even 'fear-mongering'. Reality is already before us. Prevention is better than cure, being safe is better than being sorry.

But if your selfish nature dictates that you wish to continue to dont give a damn to others, its your choice to continue on.

Gud day (but certainly not ) mate.

From a military point of view, it's ACTUALLY a good move. It sets up a better defensive posture for Australia which is pretty far away from the rest of their allies. It also gives nato nations a second ready position for the defense of Hong Kong, which the Chinese WILL invade at some point.

China has developed some nasty missiles that can track and kill an aircraft carrier, which is currently Hong Kong's ONLY defensive posture. Subs don't really have a lot of firepower (compared to an aircraft carrier) unless things go nuclear.

Australia is resource rich and China is looking for more resources.

All in all, I think it's a good move... I'm just SHOCKED that Obama would actually MAKE a good move militarilly...

BTW, the island nations north of Australia are on the verge of civil war due to Muslim terrorists...just sayin'...

Sorry, but I got to quote, reply and laugh to this so patriotic person.
It really shows how American think they are the center of the universe and everybody else a junk.

To Krytie:
So sad your country waste money for that bloke. Change thePM!
I wonder how much he gets for selling Aus.
I guess you can start "Go home yankees" campaign with others now.

Sigh....

Relentless, just like I said before.

If China doesn't attack the US first, and on the very small chance it decides to pick us instead, there is a crap-tonne of countries in between us and them that have our backs. You see, Aussies are viewed quite favourably by most countries - just ask the Brits, or The Kiwi's, or the Canadians, or the Indonesians, or the Indians, or pretty much any European country....most of the world in fact...... they all love us. Just look at how many people from different countries in this thread alone that have said they'll always have Aussies backs?

We don't need you guys, it's that simple. You are on our soil merely for your own strategic benefit against the Chinese.

Sorry for going a little off topic but if this is so, why aren't you using them now? It's a genuine question mate, and one that should be addressed given the current state of America and it's people.

I would hazard a guess and say it is because you realise that TPTB have bigger guns than you and point them at you regularly to remind you of them.

You would be right in part dude, they do remind us daily. But know that the sale of arms and ammo is still skyrocketing. Not all of us will be in the streets in view of those bigger guns. It sure as hell would not work with one guy out there, Most will sit by and let it happen mostly my liberal, progressive acquittances. I can hardly call them friends if they would not step up to support me as I would them.

The other wing have their constitution haters too. It will not be all the people taking up arms it will be gorilla warfare on a scale never before seen. I hate to say it but it will be a Red Dawn situation and it will not be foreign troops. Although with the joining of Canada and Mex, I can see their troops assisting in civil unrest control. May they rest in piece when they do.

I would love to spend at least a year in Australia. It is a beautiful country, I could not survive the outback. I am not that tough.

The outback isn't that bad once you know the rules of survival. It gets rather rough though, it's definitely not for everyone...although I for one love it!

We have vast rainforests and thousands of kilometres of untouched pure beaches alongside our cities and our outback. It's truly an astonishing country.

I love that about you guys. Well at the moment, personally, I still have my rights. I am still able to write or say what I want. I can open carry my gun and I have yet to have that infringed on. So that is not nothing, that is something. And I think that is because they know we will have to step up. No law or ordinance over powers the Constitution. Hope for the best and plan for the worst. I have a fire Extinguisher too.
