Brothers in arms,

I am having a wonderful birthday. Eating out with the wife and kids. No worries at all. God bless america. Sooooo my wife tells them its my birthday and they do the happybirthday song. Then the couple sitting next to us overhears me talking about getting my leave paper work in before christmas block leave ( to avoid staff duty), and then insisted on paying for our meal, in appreciation of my service. That is awesome. My point is no matter how many people may not like us for what we do, majority of them do appreciate our sacrifice. As i sit here typing this message i extend a moment of silance for the soldiers who gave everything so that i may sit here with family, in an america i love.

Military bonds

This last Veterans day I went over to my fathers house and helped him on one of his many projects then later I took him out to lunch. It was going to be my treat. My father was Special Forces back in Vietnam before anyone even heard about it he actually got his combat status from the Cuban Missile Crises its kind of weird but because operations in Nam weren't declared until I think 1964 anyway he was there from late 1960 to 1963 I didn't learn that till that day. Neither one of us have talked to much about what we have seen or done but after my first tour I came home and I can say my father and I have never got along better.

We share a bond beyond father and son and respect for one another that I never knew before I went in the military. Its a soldiers bond I guess. When I go to V.A. its the same thing we all shared a experience that bonds us regardless of age, religion, color, or gender. I remember something they said in boot ( we are all the same color green).

That lunch we sat there and talked a little about the current state of affairs with the wars going on and we don't always agree on things but it is always respectful anyway I guess there were some other Veterans sitting near by that recognized we were as well or either they overheard us I don't know but when the check came the waitress told us that the group of Vets who had just left had already paid our tab. It just reminded me of the brotherhood we all shared. My father insisted on paying the tip and while he went out to the car I asked the waitress who else was in the restaurant who were Veterans and she pointed out two groups so I figured I would keep it going and paid for all of there meals. The amount doesn't matter.

I went back in there two days ago the waitress recognized me and told what the people started before me and I continued lasted through the entire day. She also said she had never been tipped so good in a shift. To bad there aren't more Vets or Veterans days the world would be a better place.

Thought I would share.

That is awsome! Big respect to the brotherhood. Never a need to explain where you have been or what you have done to be certified or accepted. I have asked forgiveness from god many a times. And have stood in silence, with tears falling, myself amongst my battlebuddies. They say its easier to ask for forgiveness then it is to ask for permission....i guess when i die i will ask the many families ive hurt for forgiveness. Hopefully together from heaven we can look down on this planet and see a better people. Then i'll put understanding to the madness i lived in and through. Until then however, youll get my best, where ever im sent, and the devil himself will applaud to our handywork. Good, bad, or indifferent, war will have a winner so long as one soldier breathes.

Grimpachi is willing to admit that the war in Iraq is because of oil, but not that Afghanistan is drugs? Unless you believe in drugs. Wouldn't be hard to a opium search on the region, if you don't mind a dent or two in your axioms. The fact that you are a supporter of Solar and Wind there says enough about you. Liberty democracy and freedom ("serving" the is funny line) and yet want to post rules that limit the rhetoric of discussion on so-called delicate issues like fighting in foreign suicide wars that have nothing to do with America.

A plague on both your houses. Real patriots have a mission in life that is God driven mission, and we follow universal principles. Arguing with a so-called military brat like you and others would be the same as trying to get anywhere with David Koresh. Writing letters to Congress to stop this when all of politicans are bought off. I keep trying though. The face of evil is what the mass protests are about and going after the financiers of terror, and the ones reaping in millions from bodies of dead soldiers.

Past twenty years have been nothing but wars, they have nothing to do with the Constitution or American patriotism. Stand up for the Constitution if you are a man, if you really really are a man. I believe the main purpose of the Federal Government to provide for the common defense. Why is defense such a main function? Because there are bad people in this world, and the innocent have need for protection. Make your children of the future prosper.

We do not have a system to achieve such.
Those who are operating such as You are taking over Your country and destroying it.
LAND OF THE FREE....what a joke.

Your PARTRIOT ACT is seeing to that, but the military are too occupied elsewhere, instead of doing what Your constitution demands of every one of You to defend.
TO DEFEND AMERICA.

YOU are all failing in YOUR duty, YOU are not defending this nation.
You are aiding its destruction, You are acting against the constitution.
Basically treason.

Most of your rednecks from Alabama can't find Afghanistan on a map. How do the Soldiers think of themselves as being better than civilians, when it takes something as extreme as warfare to make them smarter and to make their IQ's go up.

Gravitor I would just stay out of their world, your words are spoken as a patriot (I believe). These people can't understand that there was once a real thing known as a Republic and where men fought for a real principle. They have not nor will not address the relevant questions, that would destroy their axioms and if that were to happen some of these people might actually kill themselves.

The military has a close bond with religion the two are almost inseparable how they mind control. The youtube video of the "tankers" huah idiots who roll a tank over a man's vehicle who is a cab driver. They laugh and act like they just demonstrated the "might" of America's military. Most of those guys over there are clowns, I feel bad for the good soldiers who have to put up with them.

Soldiers prayer

When a govt decides to go to war it falls on the soldiers to carry out their orders. If there are not enough volunteers then there is a draft. These are the first wars in which there has been no draft the military needs more soldiers there are not enough but with stop loss and other programs that I still question if that policy is legal we have been able to sustain ourselves. I severed with all volunteers and at least with that knowledge I knew that these soldiers had heart that possibly a drafty wouldn't.

A fact that many people do not know in the US is if you took every Veteran and soldier from America and counted them we would only make up 1 percent of the population. We are the other 1 percent that means the other 99 percent out there have a much better chance at ending the war from home than we ever could. The only way we can end the wars are to win them which is what we will do.

For those who don't want us over there I say bring us home then. You have the power the freedom and the time to be doing something about it. Instead of telling us to abandon our oaths our Honor and our brothers and sisters on the field of battle. You the citizens can bring everyone home by simply making yourselves heard to the Govt but please don't shout at us because of us you will never know what war truly is you will not be on a battlefield. We volunteered to do what you would or could not but if enough of us hadn't just remember you could have been forced to. Be thankful there is no draft.

Before you do make sure you know just what is at stake.

MarkScheppy
You don't seem to be as uneducated as Gravitar you may be just uninformed so I will explain why we need to be in Afghanistan. That place is a breeding ground for Tali ban many have escaped to Pakistan but they keep coming back just waiting for us to leave so they can set up training camps again. Right now Afghanistan is a magnet for terrorists it is better to fight them there than to wait for them to organize another attack on US soil.
That region has been at war for thousands of years and I don't see a end to it in my lifetime.

We could pull our forces out and within a year the ANA Afghan National Army will fall it will rally more to there Jihad than ever before because they will see it as a great victory against the west. Schools will be destroyed all who have helped or even talked to us will be slaughtered. Children will be taken from there family's to become soldiers and martyr's. I have been on the border to Pakistan and have been witness to them coming over armed to the teeth.I have seen what they do to those that have worked with us. I have seen them use Children as shields I have seen far to much.

If I could draw a picture of true evil I would draw a picture of the Tali ban unfortunately they look like everyone else there. They are not dumb they use every dirty tactic known to man to kill us and if left unchecked they will find a way to attack us here. They have attacked Pakistan bases as well and you should just pray they never get there hands on a nuclear bomb which they have tryed many times over to do. If they ever do I would put money on them using it on our forces in Afghanistan because of the difficulties of getting it over here. Remove our presence there and all they need do is smuggle it out of Pakistan into Afghanistan till they find a way to deliver it to the US.

That is a very real scenario. Try to remember we did not start this war if anything we were to late getting into it. USS Cole. Multiple attempts to destroy the twin towers several attacks and bombings on U.S. embassy's and finally 9/11. Just one nuclear strike on U.S. soil and you wouldn't be worried about finding a job. Just finding food would be hard enough. It doesn't matter if we leave tomorrow we are a target as long as this country exists. There can be no middle ground we have to win this and it no longer matters how we got there what is done is done.

As far as Iraq the damage is done but I can tell you the soldiers on the ground were the ones who were the most infuriated that we didn't find WMD's. Tacticaly Iraq is a foothold on the region and whether we like it or not we need the the resources because the average American does not want to sacrifice a inch of the lifestyle we are used to. If as a people we change our habits of consumption then Iraq becomes irrelevant. But I just don't see that happening because as a culture we are self entitled. The truth is hard but it is what it is.

Grim dont go explaining this to them. it will do no good. Let them think what they will. Besides there are bigger things to worry about in this world. Still getting my stuff together. Hey what would you choose 30-06, 308, or the 400? Im leaning toward the 308 to reach out and touch with. My 5.56 is just a force multiplier. My wife can fire it for s$@t! Oh what do think about the tundra? I think a lift, trailer cover, and tires would be a good start. Dont have very far to get out of the city. Just random thoughts.

We are realy geting off topic here but if your talking about what I think you are find a truck thats carburated buy as much potasium Hydroxide as you can and get a large stainless steel pressure tank. Aluminum and potasium hydroxide when mixed will make hydrogen and there is a endless supply of beer cans in America if you hook up that tank to your truck walla you have fuel. As far as weapons I hung mine up when I got out. I have a couple pistols that were handed down from my grandfather but I have just lost intrest in shooting anymore. But a 308 has knock down and range so go with it. Should be easyier to find ammo for than the others as well. Random thoughts.

Paranoia, paranoia, paranoia.
What a pile of garbage that was in YOUR post.
Nobody has attacked America, a series of false flag events were constructed to instill FEAR and PARANOIA, it sure worked on the gullible such as YOU.

There's always a few nutters in all socities, but there simply is no threat to AMERICA, it's all in YOUR head, it's been installed there by those who desire certain agendas and use MUGS such as the American and British forces to carry out their global domination agendas.
Those forces are the new REICH military machine, a brotherhood as admitted by several upon this thread.

The new world order been implemented by YOU.
