Herman Cain Sexually Harassed Me...

None of this came to light until Cain was the frontrunner, not when he only was at about 5-7% in the polls. He's been a public figure in Georgia with a run for Senator and as a replacement on-air personality for a radio station. Why now??

Its hard to believe that just a few weeks ago the media was portraying Cain as just an ignorant pizza shop owner. Now he's an insider, establishment, dangerous, conniving, threat that needs to be dealt with.

The press is fickle! I didn't like it when they started hyping him up after the Florida Win, and I don't like it now that they are tearing him down. It is just fresh blood for the press, and an election shouldn't be determined this way. People are moved by the opinions of the press more than anything else, and it has destroyed our Democratic process. Nobody has free-will to elect based on platforms and debates and speeches anymore. Now we choose the candidates based on post-debate spin, and soundbites, and Op-Ed columns.

I think the press was half-right before, and they are probably half-right now.

I think he is an insider with connections, and I think his 9-9-9 plan should be applauded for its boldness, but I think it is dangerous and much too high of a number. I think the allegations are probably mostly false, but they do show some concern in his references supplied. I think he was never a serious contender, but the huge up and down in the press is all a distraction to buy time for Perry to get his train back on the tracks and keep Paul out of the news as long as possible.

How many threads do we need on Herman Cain sexual allegations? I know some have been shut down already..sorry

Gloria Allred!?! Really???

Were the surviving members of the OJ Simpson defense team busy? Because I cannot think of a slimier tv lawyer than GA. Her involvement alone makes me 'no credibility here.'. Haven't seen the video, but does she have tissue on stand by and her arm around her client's shoulder?

I've been accused of Sexual Harassment, even after I rebuked many advances from her, and took precautions to never be alone with her, and removed some impediments from my office so I would always be visible to co-workers, and I made a call to our Ethics Link and my supervisors to see if I should file a pre-emptive complaint, which they advised me NOT to do. Then, when the inevitable day came that I had to fire her, guess what, she filed a complaint.

They barely even investigated, and I was cleared, and she even took the time to retract her complaint after she realized how much work I had done to try and keep her from being fired, but it doesn't matter. If I am ever to run for office, it will surely come up.

I currently have a voicemail saved on my phone, and many emails and text messages saved on my computer from women who work for me doing things highly inappropriately. If I were to do even 10% of the things they get away with, I would be tarred and feathered and sued into oblivion, and crucified in the press. It is a MAJOR double-standard!! MAJOR!!

But, I still think its a good thing if Cain gets out of Ron Paul's way. He is just a distraction from the Paul campaign and a way to keep the spotlight off Romney and Perry so they don't screw anything up between now and the faux election time. If Cain gets out of the way, there is a much better chance of Perry/Romney exposing their weaknesses and Paul getting a legitimate shot at the nomination.

It is very sad to see the Media smear a guy with "Anonymous Sources".

This pattern of building a Candidate up just so they can tear him down.

You couldn't even get away with "Anonymous Sources" on ATS. You would be immediately called out.

The "MSM" coordinated agenda is to ignore Ron Paul. Or maybe he's the last sacrificial lamb.

I am really sorry for what happened to you. I have also seen it happen to others.

It seems "The Truth" is unimportant. Sad we have devolved to this.

I strongly disagree with the OP that coming forward with such accusations is an easy matter. You immediately set yourself up for every bit a scrutiny, every attempt for one to have dirt dug up on one and the possibility that some could be manufactured. Who among us doesn't have something that they'd rather not reported every ten minuted on Fox or the like.

I don't think it's easy to come forward.

It's easy to make an "Anonymous Accusation".

That was kind of my whole point.

No woman should have to endure any harassment.

Just yesterday, people were saying that if there was merit to the accusations, someone would come forward. Now someone has and she is already under attack. And her choice of legal counsel is also under attack. Interesting. And people wondered why a woman might be hesitant to step forward?

First he acted like he had no idea whay these allegations were...then he knew a little...then he knew a little more...then he said he is just being attacked...then he decided not to talk about it.

Very poor handling...and that is why he is dropping IMO.

Yeah I can absolutely see this being a smear campaign and nothing more. But he's certainly not handling this the right way, or the way an entirely innocent person would

This woman seems to have no reason to lie.

Now there is a man that has lost his reputation.

There is a woman who no doubt, has had her life turned upside down.

Well I suspect it's one thing to know there is some jerk out there who once tried to reach up your skirt in exchange for a job....and it's another to know that man has a chance at becoming the President of The United States.

Two of the women filed complaints which were settled rather than go to court...so they did not wait.

Two did not file a complaint, but rather chose to forget.

One of those two came forward today.

Is it a smear campaign? My opinion? Yes and no. Yes the fire was lit with a leak to Politico likely by a Perry operative. But that fire has been started and now other women have come forward.

And...just because the story was leaked with political motives doesn't somehow make it automatically not true.

I suspect the bulk of allegations are true and yes the scandal was leaked by the Perry campaign.

Excuse me? Where did I say that? I've had enough with the assumptions and putting words in my mouth over this issue. How could you possibly take from the above post that I'm saying that he's guilty of something?
