Anything to do with ET was handed over to corporations ages ago I believe. This was done because the corporations are not subject to the same rules for FOI requests. Thats not to say that the "secret government" isnt involved in anyway.
we petition the obama administration to:
Immediately disclose the government's knowledge of and communications with extraterrestrial beings
This Petition calls for the President to disclose to the American people the long withheld knowledge of government interactions with extraterrestrial beings and call for open Congressional hearings to allow the people to become aware of this subject through those whose voices have been silenced by unconstitutional secrecy oaths.

I already posted the text of and a link to the petition written by Stephan Bassett, which got more than 12,000 signatures and mentioned that whistelblowers had come forward, on page 2 of this thread. Here's the other one, with a bit softer wording:

They both got the same response:
Searching for ET, But No Evidence Yet
And here's an article about defense of the responses so far (with no mention of the ET/UFO issue):
White House defends We the People petition responses

""""""The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race."""""""
So when are they taking "In God we Trust" off the currency?

Their response to the petition is typical and the rest of the world is laughing at US.
The more they deny the truth, the more the rest of the world looks at us with contempt and suspicion.
We know the truth and it will all come out in the open soon enough.
Once the LORD GOD gives the green light, 5th trumpet, then there will be no more denying anything.
This country's leadership brings nothing but shame to the people living here.
But more shame, confusion and wrath to themselves then the population with the borders.
All I can say is GROWUP REPROBATES. The Lord Jesus is at the door and time for repentance is getting slimmer as eevery day passes.

Oh well, thats all I needed. No evidence, no contact, no reverse engineering of alien craft, no alien autopsy, no abductions, no sightings of alien craft. We can all put this subject to rest now.
Except, what about all those govt people who say just the opposite? What about the people who have seen these with their own eyes ?
What a shame . We're being treated like children.
Yup. Someone should point the White House in the direction of former military and government/intelligence personnel who make statements to the contrary. Would a list of astronauts added to that make them re-think their position?
Surely it should be a matter of at least launching an enquiry as to why there is a disturbing trend for so many of their ex-employees to lie in public and slander the government?!edit on 6-11-2011 by barmyfluid because: (no reason given)

The reality is that the E.Ts can force the issues themselves. If they don't, then well, nothing's going to happen.
At this point, I am seriously questioning the existence of E.Ts myself, even after 90% believing in it...
