No. None whatsoever. Even the page at the link you posted tells you that, so I have not the faintest idea why you have even bothered to bring this up.

Can we please focus on the matter at hand and leave references to "elenin" theories out of this? Men, women and children have been killed or grieviously injured, many people have either lost loved ones or lost their homes. That is the reality and if members want to discuss some influence by an extremely minor and utterly insignificant heavenly body, then please do it in the forums where such discussion is the norm.

If members want to discuss what forums various matters should be placed in, then perhaps contact the owners of ATS/TAN via the "Contact Us" tag that's at the bottom of every page. They are open to suggestions and I've written to them myself a few times.

ON TOPIC: It is pitch dark now in Turkey and this will only serve to hamper rescue efforts. We have to bear in mind that this is a poor region of the country and it's not likely that there will be a lot of portable generators lying around, nor even a great deal of heavy machinery such as dozers and the like that most likely will be required to remove rubble.

I am not able to get weather details for Van at present, but in that general area we can expect temperatures down in the single digits celsius overnight. While some say that this is better than extreme high temperatures that can lead to rapid dehydration, one of the worries is that people who are trapped may suffer from hypothermia and this will only worsen their chances. It doesn't need to be below freezing to affect people badly, especially if they are injured.

Obviously, there is no "good" time for a quake, but on balance it's probably a slightly more optimistic scenario right now than it would be in another couple of months' time.

The big Problem with the Houses in Eastern Tuerkye is that they are build without a Plan
and without enough Rebar-Mats/ Colums, all of them are very very fragile!

It is a big miracle that the People there do not learn how to build the Houses more resistant!

I wish that many of the trapped People will get Rescue asap.

Part of the problem in the poorer regions is simply the lack of money. Good rebar and high-quality concrete are simply beyond the means of many people so they build with what's available locally. And as I mentioned earlier, all throughout that part of the world, corruption and bribery are rife and some newer buildings are probably not all they appear to be.

Throughout most of that part of the world, this situation is not going to change in the near future. We saw the same thing with the Bam quake in Dec 2003, and also with quakes in places like Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Pakistan quake of Oct 2005 killed over 70,000 people and most of them lived in very poor-quality structures in the rugged mountain region that was hit.

And we all know what happened in Haiti in January last year. Same story. Poor people, old buildings, major quake -- recipe for disaster.

Hopefully this event today will not be as bad as those I've mentioned above. It's still a terrible disaster but frankly it could have been worse if the epicenter had been right under the city of Van.

Strangely yesterday morning I knew a big earthquake
is coming but i placed it in california and then in the wee hours of
this morning i saw a vision of a mountainous area, lots of pyramids
and swirling seas and instantly i knew that something will happen to this
mountainous area but idk if this affected area in turkey is mountainous
and by the sea.

The earth is pulsed into its Earthquakes by EM quantum weapons owned by deep underground military bases run by Global World Security. ill take a stab at it i think he was saying the last time big earthquakes and quakes happening at this frequency was last recorded in 520 ad and the last time it happened it was 14 days of shaking and apparently an island sunk

Hopefully that will be it now and it will calm down. As I said earlier in the thread you could expect anything up to a 6.3. It should start to tail off now. For the sake of the poor people there I hope so.

You people will not like this view but will express it anyway because it involves what the Bible says about the future of this region.

The Bible explicitely says how important Israel and Zion is to the comming Messiah/Christ and those who stand against the nation of Israel will be cursed because the Jews were forced out from the world and persecuted and the world agreed to let them have refuge in Jeruselem the holy land of Jews and Christains. If the world starts to mess with Israel economicly it will be cursed it will start to deflate.

We could say if I am wrong here that the 1000 killed in Turkey by this earthquake represents the 1000 plus Palistines released who were real bad criminals, boadering Iran makes it even more a poetic mystery to this reflection.

This is also the case for the Katrina storm in America in which they say 10,000 were killed and lots of graves were uprooted by the water pressure it caused in this the reflection being when America agreed in the 10,000 Jews who would be stripping down their homes and their ancestors grave dug up near Gaza.

Is this the same judgement in which these countries face because the world is putting pressure on the people and land of God which holds on going discoveries of its historical Christian Jewish past?

I agree here, it is just a natural disaster and nothing to do with God, any God. Van is very near a faultline and has daily earthquakes. This one and the aftershocks are terrable so if you have a God then pray for those people. They need something right now and did nothing to cause this.

It is amazing the amount of interest ATS'ers have for earthquakes. What is so interesting about it? Gloom and Doom, 2012... it's all about the same silly sentiment. The hope for a big catastrophe or something. Get over it.
