whats the likelyhood of something like this happening?

Turkey still showing this as a 6.6, but that is probably ML and on the saturation point for the ML scale.

There is STILL no information on the phase data from USGS and EMSC is still showing the Mb value as 6.4 with very little above that in the scientific data but that scale also saturates just above this point so perhaps that is not surprising.

No phase data and just two tensor solutions just is not doing it for me!

CNN is reporting the 6.6 not 7.3, moments ago. Why are they adjusting the magnitude of so many quakes lately? Does their equipment not work? And why do the 2 eq sites never (rarely) agree?

in the last 20 minutes theres been a few more between the original epicentre and the iran border.. i dont know how accurate the locations are but it seems to be making a curved shape

That video is just terrifying... Very violent shaking. You can hear the guy praying as he's filming.

And to Puterman... I also am hoping we're not seeing indications of migration and possibly a larger event. But that region has masses of faults (as you know) and remote triggering is not unlikely after such a large energy release.

CNN were reporting it as 6.6 right from the start actually. It was one in the list when I was first looking. They are going on the listing I linked above which is 6.6 ML but the USGS are saying 7.2 Mw and EMSC 6.4 Mb. Confusing isn't it.

Purely from a historical perspective the likelihood of one of the dodecanese islands sinking is very remote, but as far as I know, most of those islands (if not all) only exist because of seismic activity in that region and the faulting that created uplift in some areas. We can only hope that such an event does not occur as virtually all islands in that area have significant populations.

Taking Rhodos as an example as it's one I've visited, the vast majority of the population live close to the sea, either in the capital (also called Rhodos = Rhodes) or in the towns and villages along the coast. The eastern side of the island is much more populated than the very rugged western side. From the beaches on the east side it's possible to see the coast of Turkey on a clear day (which is most days). It's only about 18km across the sea to Turkey from there.

If you are thinking about the big CME that was not pointed at Earth. There does not seem to be much activity at present and only a max 25 nTeslas variance from' norm'. In fact there was way more activity at the end Sep/start Oct than there is now.

For some reason that link is not working and the link with the letter from Albert....I do remember reading that and it comes with confusion.

Einstein, if I am not mistaken thought a pole shift may be rapid ( a few years). Edgar Cayce thought the pole shift would begin with Japan.....either way.....we are experiencing a pole shift, correct?

Believe me the data from imsal is very accurate and different from what you see with plus data the guys from Lockheed-Martin are the best and they hide something and my God what they Hide,remember first october something big hit the Sun,well a big Piece of it is missing,but you can't see this because the surface is still there and effect of that it's just coming the processes inside the sun cannot be eye spot,but the effects yes it's like liquid bubble with pressure inside twisting and bubble before spit it out,anyway after the server will work the data will be faked!!!

I once did a study about earthquakes and found something interesting, a great percentage of the earthquakes occur at exactly 10 km, or 6 miles depth. I took all the information about the earthquakes from the USGS and separated the columns about depth and magnitude and time, it was surprising that a great percentage was at 10 km.

It took a long time to do this, but to prove my point, I will go back into it and create the Excel document.

I also want to know if anyone else experiences this, sometimes I feel my floor or bed or chair sway a little as though a tremor was happening, but I am the only one around who feels this. It does not last very long but it is enough to catch my attention.
