I just told you how to not offend us, and you just said that you don't care what I want, that you intend to offend us. I'm just telling you what's likely to happen to you. I'm guessing that you're not man enough to actually say that in real life.

I don't know what your talking about.

I am not going to insult anybody, in fact I have taken a new years resolution last new years, to cut back on my insulting people and being more friendly like. And I have stayed true to that, why this month I have only insulted about 3 or 4 people, which is way less people then it was last month. And I plan to cut it down to zero eventually.

Now I must go watch pics of lol cats and other such important things. So sorry I have no time to play, besides threatening to threaten people is so unbecoming of a lady.....I am starting to wonder what is really going on here.

I bid you good night.

I didn't threaten you. I told you what could happen if you go around insulting crossdressers, and maybe even transgendered. Don't call us men, it's like walking up to a black person and using the N word. It's highly offensive. You don't seem to get that.

So i guess youre saying that women wanted to work because they saw men doing it and African Americans wanted to use the same bathroom as whites because they couldnt also means that kids of same sex parents may be confused by their gender because of what they see of their parents? Makes sense to me!!!

There was also a time not long ago that women weren't aloud to have jobs, and African Americans weren't aloud to use the same bathroom as a white man. Does that mean that it was right the whole time?

I have no respect for anyone that goes out of their way to offend a group of people even after being educated about how not to offend them. What kind of person does something like that?

Yeah - I know.

And they just don't get it.

We're not all, or even mostly gay. That's just a common misconception.
It's also why the young man's sexual attraction is in no way a good method to determine if he has gender identity problems.

If anyone wants to know what it means to be transgendered, or who we are, education on terminology, or anything about it, message me. I'll gladly explain it to you from my own perspective. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Yes - a while ago I read an article/interview (not sure which) about Chaz Bono and the different "labels" he went through to get where he is.

At first he was Lesbian - - but that wasn't quite right. Eventually he came to understand he was/is Transgender.

He is not gay/lesbian. He is transgender. A male in a female body.He is a "straight" man who is attracted to women.

Appreciation and respect goes to those who try to understand - - even if they don't quite get it.

Its hard to say what the "right" thing is, as its all relative to differing perspectives. In my opinion, it should be up to the child. If he feels like he should be female then he should go for it. I wonder though, does the child want to be female or are the parents are trying to decide for him?

What else is a child in a house without a Male figure supposed to think?

Does that mean that all single parents children are going to be gay if they are the opposite sex as the parent?

Thats what i thought (^*~*)^

My guess is that these lesbian parents are very gay and proud, the type to make sure everyone knows their status, so obviously this is an extreme exception and to group things into absolutes shows your lack of mental flexibility.

Children of single parents tend to suffer from a lack of emotional and intellectual imbalance when the other parent is not present while growing up. They only get half of the story.

edit on 10/18/2011 by Deafseeingeyedog because: (no reason given)

Way to generalize. The fact that this child's parents are lesbians probably only affected the child in that they UNDERSTAND being different and wanted to let the child be themselves. There are so many people involved in this process and everyone only brings up the parents. There are doctors, psychiatrists, and psychologists involved and if this was only happening because of the will of the parents it would not have gone this far.

Also, children of single parents suffer from lack of emotional and intellectual imbalance? WTH? Care to show some real, unbiased evidence of this?

Oh and to add, it's funny how you said this: "to group things into absolutes shows your lack of mental flexibility." and then followed it up with this: "Children of single parents tend to suffer from a lack of emotional and intellectual imbalance when the other parent is not present while growing up. They only get half of the story."

Hello pot.

Oh.. lol I did not know that! Yay for learning! I have some gay friends (Obviously) but all the trannies Iv'e come across are... lets just say, less than savory. So i have never really learned too much about them. (I had one trannie person in my highschool that would always follow me around and try to be my friend but he was so goddamn annoying.)

i dont agree with what thoses ladies are doing, but i dont have to dictate what they have to do

Gays, lesbians, transgender, if they're happy with it, then its fine to me.

Dont have to show disrespect to thems, if they dont show disrespect to me, simple

If they think they can educate their kid the way they like and succeed, and if at the end the kid is happy with it, then im good with it

Why the hell are you all acting like its some sort of kids exploitation when its NOT ?

Live and let live
PS: sometimes i wonder what ATS mean by deny ignorance, really

"Trannies" are Transvestites - - they are not Transgenders. This kid is Transgender.

GLADD had a big "Hoo Ha" about using the term Trannie in a Glee episode. To some its like the "N" word - - however some Trannies embrace it.

Anyone can be a Transvestite. Male/Female Straight/Gay/Lesbian/Bi.

Transvestite: : a person and especially a male who adopts the dress and often the behavior typical of the opposite sex especially for purposes of emotional or sexual gratification

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is what Michelangelo Signorile was discussing on one of his shows. LGBT are not supportive of each other. Gays may have the same opinion of Transvestites/Transgenders that straights do. Just because they are gay - - doesn't mean they accept other aspects under the umbrella LGBT. Heck gays aren't even supportive of all the categories within the gay community - - but that's a different discussion.

How is it really any different then taking your kid in for ADHD evaluation and medication?

How is it really any different then taking your kid in for Autism evaluation and medication?

Do you think when you take your child in for ADHD or Autism evaluation - - - they don't talk to the child and ask them what they think? Or how they feel on medication?

The child can have a great deal of input. Any doctor that does not take the child's thoughts into consideration - - is not a very good doctor.

I do not see this as different in any way. The child has an issue that needs to be treated. Pretty simple to me.

It freaks some people out because they think of it as "sex" related. I personally do not see any "sex" issue. It is a Gender-Variant issue.

Annee,
I don't agree with ADHD meds... it's wrong and screws the kids up.

And are we now equating this with Autism? Autism is a clearly defined mental disorder that causes a person to not act in a way that is "normal" with the rest of society.

So are you now saying that transgenderism is a mental defect that needs to be medicated?

....

Apples and oranges.
