Sorry but depending on the country, if you want majority cultural ideals then shouldn't you be forced to eat insects, or bathe before showering, or stay at home if you're a female, work if you're male.

The world changes. Sorry that we don't all drive horses and carts and live with no central heating, but if you want to go back to those days when the world didn't change, then be my guest, but until you can live in a world that CHANGES from day to day, then you shouldn't really be claiming mob rule is the only rule.

You know it doesn't matter much much you point out that nothing is going to change. Only Administrative, Some still have to make a big song and dance over it. Does show one thing though. There is a lot of Bigotry and Haters. Maybe those who are so worked up about this, would have maybe been glad if Hitler had won world war .. Then there would not be these issues now would there be, everyone who is Homosexual, Lesbian, Bisexual or Transgender would have been gassed or executed. There you all go problem solved eh

It's really like banging my head against a brick wall.
It's interesting, earlier on I read the article wrong and wrote something which wasn't right.
I accepted my mistake, corrected myself, and apologised to someone who corrected me, it's a shame the people screaming injustice and "what about my rights" can't do the same.

Like you've mentioned in an earlier post, rights aren't being taken away, just added.

It really annoys me that there are members who are making a song and dance over nothing. Do they really think I should be disgusted over my brother being a Homosexual, because their so called Christian Beliefs says so, or they read it from a so called religious book, which was written and re written by Individuals to benefit their own perverted ideologies. I think her point about showing the American application was that it wasn't getting rid of the term mother/father but it was just adding parent to it.

Unless this is made official and passed in to law I doubt you can see a UK application.

Would that not be a lot easy then having to go through all this trouble to now change that on documents ?

When the new form comes out I will be more than happy to post the image on here. I am not making a song and dance about it, I am defending the concept of equality is all. Against those who are trying to bring homosexuality or Lesbians down. And I wont stand back and let that happen.

I know exactly how you feel, I've learnt over the years religion is nothing more than ridiculous. Spirituality and religion are so far apart these days the only thing religion craves, once again, is control.
They did this with people who weren't white (speaking of the inquisition/crusades etc).
They are still doing this to females (not allowing them to hold high ranks)
And they're still doing it with homosexual men and women.

There's nothing holy about organized religion, yet the self-righteousness clouds what religion should really be about, and I believe that's community.

Off course there isnt. Most of those so called religions have more skeletons in their wardrobes, than Homosexual or Heterosexual couples that is for sure. To use a doctrine, which is no valid proof. When god gave all of us unconditional love, wither we believe in him or not. To use that, to attack LGBT's just shows they dont even know what the meaning of the word of God is.

To connect up going slightly off topic about religion, I think this is what it all boils down to, centuries of countries being under religious influence being told what's right and wrong, the reason people are screaming injustice is because of religious undertones in their bringing-up.

But, from a non-religious view, society has been brought up to think of homosexuals as camp and funny, and a lot of homosexual men in the media, if they wanted a job in the media, had to play the stereotype for acceptance. Lesbians, I cannot say, I haven't noticed lesbians playing in the media from before I was born.

Sometimes I think I'm a bit too open-minded and liberal, but I believe, when we now come to equality, we have huge opposition because of organized religion.

Show me where Gay and Lesbian rights are being "brought down"? I don't see it.

I see a *possible* addition to the UK application form, that would entitle Gay and Lesbians the option to choose parent, rather than Mother or Father.

Is this unpleasant to you somehow? Otherwise, I don't understand your volatile posture.

No one is trying to "bring down" anyone. If anything, I would say some of the comments by the supporters of Lesbians and Gays have been rather closed-minded and insulting, to say the least.

I think you should re-evaluate the comments made by outspoken supporters of your views.

They are anything BUT liberal and open minded. Insulting perceived threats without there actually being a threat to your opinion is exactly what you are fighting against. You become the monster that you are afraid of.

It's pretty clear here for all to see. Relax, take a deep breath, don't pretend that you didn't get all worked up over nothing, and think about it.

Homosexuality is just wrong. Brainwashing children into thinking that this perverted way of living is acceptable is even worse. No ifs, no buts.


Gay couples shouldnt have any kids, not because of morality of it but because of the merciless bullying the kids will have to go through in school

They are 2 examples that majority are. If you're not doing one of those, why should I have to put up with not being recognised as a parent just because my partner would be male?

Some legal guardians are uncles, an aunties and older siblings. Then "mother", "father" is not applicable. Specifying parents as 1, 2 makes sense. Get it? Besides, I have no problem with the Government not keeping such a thorough check of what's in my pants.
