capitalism has been out of control in america for quite a while. I mean they dont even have universal health care there.

The deregulation of the financial systems was a collosal error and lead to the collapse. In britain they're trying to force banks to ring fence high street banking from the investment banking. Remains to be seen if that can be done as it may effect the UK banks competetiveness if other countries dont follow suit.

The corporate influence in europe while still present isn't anywhere near the levels of influence they have in the USA. You just need to look at the approaches to health care & GM foods to see the diffirence.

USA is a diffirent ball game , a lot of people there equate socialised medecine to communism which to us in europe is totally insane. Its like a lot of them have been brainwashed by propoganda. I think the USA is a lost cause until it collapses completely .

I asked you what you did for me or this country because you claimed you did something above and beyond the typical civillian and yet all you can tell me is angry nonsense when I ask. So now I need to ask what the hell you are talking about? I knew you would bring it back around given enough time.

So tell me why I need the people on Wall Street?
What jobs do they create?
What service do they provide?
How do they do anything good for me or my country?
Why should I be worried about scaring them off?
People that make money off of money and get out of paying taxes on it do not do jack for me or my community and they sure as hell do not seem interested in helping the country.

So how about you go sit with your hedge fund friends and brag to each other about how valuable you are to the US because the only people you are going to be able to explain it to is each other.

Hell, I just asked what you did for this country and all I got was "Nothing" and "Bought Japanese.'

Well the persistent and the tenacious still remain.

This will take about a week or so before it starts to take hold, so to write it off as some posters have seems a little too soon.

If the 300 can hold the line and be resolute, then others will gradually join them.

If another financial bomb like Obama's 1.3 Trillion tax demand happens in the coming weeks, demand for tent space in wall street will skyrocket.

There is no try...there is only do or do-not, just do it, what have you got to lose.

As editor in Chief of the Sun Newspaper, I am pleading to you on behalf of everyone in the free world to report the news on the Occupation of New York's Wall street.

There are thousands of protestors there since Saturday and they are in severe need of food shelter and media coverage. The police are preventing them from bringing in food and supplies as well as confiscating basic needs such as a tarps to protect agains the rain and elements. NO ONE IS COVERING THIS DEVELOPPING STORY! I beg you to seek information on the protestors at www.occupywallstreet.org. This is their only means of communicating their message to the outside world as ALL mainstream media are exercising a black out on the coverage.

Please show that you are human and provide coverage on the attrocities being committed there. Poeple have been arrested for writing in chalk on sidewalk.. leaning against a barricade, providing food to the hungry or supplies like water and batteries.. people are being beaten by cops, yet the protestors are not even fighting back.. their numbers are growing and this will be big news whether the powers that be want it to come out or not. WE complained when Egypt's government shut down all communcation during their revolution, not long ago yet IT IS HAPPENING RIGHT HERE IN OUR BACKYARD.

We are Canadian and we stand for free speech and liberty just like the Americans do, please help.

Im afraid you are right about this, I came to the same conclusion lately.
There are some terms that have a totally different meaning for (most) US Americans than they do for us Europeans, for instance patriotism.
Although the dictionary says the "correct"definition, the general understanding differs alot... Im not sure why, but it could well be propaganda or the bad condition of their educational system.

Many Americans think Michelle Bachmann or Sarah Palin would be good choices for President, so what does that tell you about the current educational system and the propaganda that drives this country? Most Americans don't have the critical thinking skills necessary to figure out that both chicks are completely nuts and shouldn't be allowed to watch someones pet gerbil, let alone lead a country, yet here we are and they are still relevant. How that can be defies all logical thought, so how stupid as a country are we? How dumbed down have we become?

Very much, IMHO.

We are so divided nowadays that you probably couldn't get two Americans to agree on much of anything except maybe the color of the sky(and that would probably have to go to a sub committee to iron out the details).

I'm pissed because i didn't know about this else I would have certainly gone and show my support. Is the "occupation" still going on? We should protest every Saturday and Sunday for the next couple of weeks. But on the same token, judging by police tactics in the past (RNC 03) and their tastes for corraling the public into fenced in "sheeple pens", I don't see this ending well. Bloomberg will be the dictator that he likes to consider himself as and use the excuse of "keeping the city moving".

The police are removing the tarps used for shelter, not allowing food/water in, and arresting people for standing on the siedwalk and wearing masks.

They are adding the last of the perfect mixture into this already almost perfect brew for violence.
Take away people three basic survival needs and riots WILL break out.

...To the cops down on Wall St.
... The blood will be on your hands.

yes its going on right now. There is A MEDIA BLACKOUT FROM MAINSTREAM MEDIA.. PLEASE HELP MAKE THIS VIRAL.

You may think these are all hippies and neck beards but what you are not seeing is the 40 and 50 somethings right in the thick of it with them.. they are providing an action for YOU the 99 % to follow!

PS. The protestors media team responsible for streaming their event, due to mass media black out, have all been arrested and gear confiscated. If people don't help support theire silence will one day be defeaning!
