a decade of my life being treated and sub human and extorted

i earn my viewpoint.

if you have never been in a union you have no clue i have
And if I have been and had experiences quite different than you describe? How is it possible that you draw such extreme generalizations from from your own bad experiences. Do you not believe people can have different experiences from your own?

how can i draw "Extreme generalizations" thats hilarious

anyone who sits there and tells me unions are looking out for the little guy is delusional.

like i said i earned my right and contempt for unions and they are duely deserved.

but feel free to sit there and tell me unions are all about goodness and joy.

that arent even close

Ok, here's your problem; not all things are subjective. There are things that are solid and factual and not really subject to interpretation. Enjoy that.

That is narrow minded and really imbecilic to presume and suggest like you know something... tee he he, because you know squat.

If the Tea Stains stormed the Supreme Court and demanded they overturn recent rulings against the people and in support of Corporatism they might have been heroes and we would have wrote a song about them.
But the Tea Stains are fighting FOR CORPORATISM.

If the baggers stormed Congress and took Congress hostage demanding they actually DO something - the people would rally behind them singing the folk songs in honor of their bravery in the face of opposition, but the Stains want to take away grannys benefits and give them to the rich oil companies so it is hard to rally behind them with any gusto.

If the Tea Stains stormed the White House and demanded the Constitutional Protections recently dropped in the 4th amendment be reinstated the people would rally and support them.

But no, no heros here...just another beezer lie to try and get people to support the Tea Stains...and you chasing along and hopping on without an original thought, a perfect party member, the ideal party faithful, loyal to a fault.

Deception _ I think that is what people are a little annoyed about.
Especially when we have been clearly warned and recently

"BEWARE OF THE DECEIVERS."

Just hope we ARE all paying attention.

Actually, my intent was to illustrate bias. A mod changed the title, thus altered my intent. I have asked for a review and a possible thread deletion.
It was done tongue in cheek. The Tea Party has been demonized for weeks/months. When a union does something, it gets limited play because they (MSM) don't want to smear their own base.

It was a fun thread, made to elicit responses and create dialogue.. And boy-golly! Did it!

Stop being so sensitive.

You are only one mans opinion.

There is a whole other side to this coin and it offers workers protection against oppressive and unfair work conditions, pay and benefits, against employers who see them as dispensable commodities and not humans with pride and rights and mouths to feed.

Whether you choose to see it or ignore it doesn't make that fact disappear.

yeah this mans opinion about life within a union since i was in one.

no its not another side of the coin its the same one when theres no protection agianst the union or other members intimidating using unfair tactics and worker conditions.

unions could give a rats behind about anyone but they cash they give them and the power.

your free to ignore those facts.

My father was in a Labor Union for around 30 years and he saw protections and a different set of facts.

I think it's pretty safe to say at this point, that our media is nothing more than the attack arm of the Democrat party.

Maybe you forgot the MSM during Bush about the tea parties? Or during Bush when anyone opposing the war in Iraq was a terrorist?

Thing is, the MSM is sold out to big government and big corporation. Whoever disagrees is a traitor and the MSM portray them as such.

Just you watch, the upcoming September 17 Day of Rage against Wall Street will be branded as terrorist and they will blame the tea party for it.

Interesting point. Since the Sept. 17th is a union-sponsored event.

It is? Well good for the unions. Every American should go to Wall Street on Sept. 17 and occupy every bank that received a bailout and not leave till they pay it all back.

Thre's a link from Trumka and the organizers. A thread was even started on it a while back. No Tea Party issues, at least not in the e-mails that I get.

Really? My father died from sucking in dust and debris from his job site and working like a dog his entire life. He never got to enjoy retirement or any leisure time his entire life but a few weeks a year when we went camping in Vermont. He worked on and helped build the Empire State Plaza in New York State among other projects but that was the last. He gave his heart and soul, sweat and blood and from his dedication he earned his death.

My dad was a Journeyman Union guy too but even before he died in 87 he was complaining the unions were becoming corrupt and I have to say if he was alive today he would be wholeheartedly against them

I think Unions like most other things become corrupt when they become too big and powerful

Well yes but the answer is not to give in to corporate pressure and fold. You can't forget their purpose. Unions are to workers what the Constitution is to us...I mean ideally. They should not be allowed to take hostages of course and should be forced to be reasonable but at the same time...respected as the sole representative of the workers interest.

Check the thread of our conversation, Neo. You will find I have said no such thing. You are reading these things into what I have said according to tour own bias. Bias I think is normal. But It seems like you are in a with me or against me frame of mind. A my way or the highway kinda thing. So I will leave it off with that. Oh though, one more thing?

anyone who sits there and tells me unions are looking out for the little guy is delusional.
If that isn't an extreme generalization, I don't know what is.

sorry Mr Headshot. I fail to understand how your point relates to the post I made. Sure, a bullet to the head is very objective, but how one relates to experirnces is subjective wouldn't you say?
