Which I hoped I finally summed up in the last sentence....BECAUSE Humans are... Above Angels... and nearer to Gods.

-What percentage stayed for humanity's sake?
-Which remained it out fear of God's wrath?
-What amount were simply impartial?
No answers can be found here. Okay, said my piece. Moving along then...edit on 06/14/2011 by 2x Helix because: (no reason given)
At the time it was 2/3 of the angels that choose to stand by God, this was more than 2000 years ago? Is there any news about what the score is today? How come that it seems that those 1/3 have such a power to corrupt practically all humans...rich or poor?

I very much appreciate the 2/3. I feel the 1/3 that rebelled are constantly tempting humans to sin and commit horrible acts. The 2/3 good angels stand by us to protect us from that evil. Each person has free will to choose right from wrong, good from evil. I personally will take all the help I can get from the 2/3 angels that stood for goodness. Earth is a battleground and it is just getting worse. People need to choose which side they are on and get off of the fence!
Nope. I have detailed, direct, firsthand and extended experiences in this area myself. Unfortunately with what's called negative entities. They also tried to 'convert' me on a couple of occasions.

Lucifer
Use of the name "Lucifer" for the devil stems from a particular interpretation of Isaiah 14:3–20, a passage that does not speak of any fallen angel but of the defeat of a particular Babylonian King, to whom it gives a title that refers to what in English is called the Day Star or Morning Star (in Latin, lucifer).
I see Lucifer as the Babylonian King.
Well, I never read the Book of Enoch but will look into it.
I already posted links citing my sources on angels. Everyone views angels and biblical history different.

I needed some time to determine what you were saying. You quoted someone else but I wasn't sure if you agreed with what they said or not, my apologies. You believe that BECAUSE we are above angels, we are nearer to God and they felt it necessary to side with us. I do hope I have summarized what I think you believe, if not please give some further clarification. I didn't expect this thread to have so many comments and to tell you the truth, sometimes it is hard to follow all of the different beliefs and aspects at one time.

Not in any way accusing you of anything. When I read this my first thought was to ask you if you have ever taken '___' or Ayahuasca as your experience sounds like something that many who have reported.
Ok.

I too do not accept anything blindly. I look at all the information I have gathered and or observed and I come up with MY OWN theory.
Do you know people that have guardian angels talk to them every day? I'm not aware of any guardian angel stories, do you know where to find them?

Having a friend tell me they have a fairy and talk with them every day is a little out of the norm. If more and more of my friends conveyed the same then it is then I would investigate any validity to the claim.

If you are answering for yourself why on earth do you need someone at your side ? To hold your hand because you are afraid ? aif yoou are afraid then you clearly have no faith and if you have no faith the you must rely on evidence. As there is no evidence then are answering to yourself and the one holding your hand is sharing or cocreating your delusion.

The king of Babylon was the son of Ea Ra or Marduk!

sorry. i have to say it. like it would be if i were eating a cheeseburger with rotten cheese and windshield washer as sauce, you'd be like, dude stop eating that it's not right.
Its amazing how no matter how clearly its stated in the very first post that a thread is geared specifically toward one group of people, someone who supposedly has NO interest in the subject will ALWAYS take the time to click to come in, read, click to reply and troll. Go away trolly.

I can only admire your diplomatic way of putting it. In the brutal directness of contemporary medicine's lingo, he's schizoid. And according to OT he was only sufficently non-psychotic to be aware of this severe mental problem in a few periods of sanity.
It's completely understandable and legitimate, that Lucifer tried to remove him from being boss. A position Jahveh clearly is mentally unfit for.
God response: After several rounds of debate between Job and his friends, in a divine voice, described as coming from a "cloud" or "whirlwind", God describes, in evocative and lyrical language, what the experience of being the creator of the world is like, and rhetorically asks if Job has ever had the experiences or the authority that God has had. God's answer underscores that Job shares the world with numerous powerful and remarkable creatures. (Also compare Job 41:18-21 with Job 15:12-13 which was possibly in response to Job 7:11-16).
God's speech also emphasizes his sovereignty in creating and maintaining the world. The thrust is not merely that God has experiences that Job does not, but that God is king over the world and is not necessarily subject to questions from his creatures, including men. The point of these speeches, and ultimately the entire book of Job, is to proclaim the absolute freedom of God over His creation. God is not in need of the approval of his creation. Notably, it is only the reader of the book who learns the backstory of God's conversations with Satan; Job himself remains unaware of the reason or source of his sufferings until the end. Finally, humbled by God's chastising, Job turns speechless, giving up and repenting his previous requests of justice.
In the epilogue, God condemns Job's friends for their ignorance and lack of understanding while commending Job for his righteous words, commands them to prepare burnt offerings and reassures them that Job will pray for their forgiveness. Job is restored to health, gaining double the riches he possessed before and having new children, 7 sons and 3 daughters (his wife did not die in this ordeal). His new daughters (Jemima, Keziah and Keren-Happuch[9]) were the most beautiful in the land, and were given inheritance along with their brothers. Job is blessed once again and lives on another 140 years after the ordeal, living to see his children to the fourth generation and dying peacefully of old age. WIKI
I have lived in the religion of Judaism. They have no real central belief, nor have they answered the question about evil.

What do you mean by this? I don't understand we're coming from with this paragraph. Everything come from G-d; as well free-will in man can also enable people to bad things. With Satan tempting people to sin it is not easy to be good.
