Women shouldnt have to hide their breasts for the comforts of the imature males around them...

Its completely natural for a woman to feed her newborn.. Its completely insane to argue agianst. You cant comfort everyones irrational desires... maybe next well just ban eating in public all together because chewing makes a few morons uncomfortable...

If the completely natural act of feeding a newborn make you uncomfortable then you chose to be born the wrong species... die and try again. Pick an insect this time... or maybe youd be more comfortable with birds vomitting into eachothers mouths... or the babies eating their dead parents bodies as their first sustanance.

id say mammals have it the best... take it or leave it.

Actually the bottom line is a receptionist was corrected after enforcing a policy that didn't exist. THE END...

That other # is just a large mass of figments of your seemingly paranoid imagination.

You seem to not understand that in that area, muslims are a MINORITY, so logic and elementary math would say it's MORE likely to be a White British Christian.

You are in denial, sir. If you honestly think that an issue like this was just a one-time event.

By all means please give me some LINKS to some SOURCES, and I'd be happy to go over 'em. Until then, the only thing you've proven as that you're very skilled at blowing smoke out your ass...

there's no anti-muslim bandwagon at all, there're facts, ramadan is ahead, i bet the newspapers are once again preparing to publish (true) stories about ppl being harassed and beaten up just because they eat, drink or smoke in public around here where i live. and this is supposed to be a secular country. i have no one to blame if the UK is this way in the first place, let alone turkey which is heading towards being doomed at full speed by the current government.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but doesnt Islam consider breastfeeding as a way to form a bond between mother and child?

You're correct. I can't site the verse number, but in chapter 4, it is said that "a childs right over the mother is 2 years of breastfeeding."

However, in Islam a muslim womans breast isn't exactly public viewing, but that doesn't go for a woman who isn't muslim. Anything written as it pertains to a muslim, cannot be applied to somebody who isn't muslim.

And what might the facts be in this story? Because bringing up what you THINK, MIGHT happen due to the approach of Ramadan, is off-topic if I'm not mistaken.

Question then, and my appologies to the op for the brief detour of the topic.

If anything written for a Muslim cant be applied to a non muslim, then how can non muslims be punished in arab countries for holding hands, kissing etc?

Not looking for a fight etc.. Just curious.

yea, look at all those muslims killing breastfeeding mothers..

1. half of those are based off of opinions. I could write an article tonight saying the US is on the road to following whatever law satanists follow, it wouldn't mean a thing.
2. school childrens opinions matter??? I know you remember growing up, and realizing that your views were soooo twisted as are a lot of CHILDREN. When I was in 5th grade I thought George Bush was a great thing for America, BECAUSE AL GORE LOOKED WEIRD!! That's not based off of anything. It's the same reason why people gang bang. How many gang bangers do you know over 18? lol
3. A taxi driver can refuse anyone he wants to, why is that a problem?
4. Where are all the stories about a bunch of women getting stoned in unison by muslims mad that they were feeding their babies??

Thats the thing though Beezer once you check some of the sources for those threads, many are right wing tabloids like the Daily Mail. One of those links is even an anecdotal story with a link that was removed by the tabloid itself, yet managed to go on for over 20 pages.

I, and plenty of other muslims disagree with that implementation. Unfortunately in the 1800's a sect of Islam was born which are today worded as the fundamentalists, or the salafi/wahhabi's. They are a group who believe in the strict implementation of a law based upon rules for muslims is allowed with everybody who is physically in a "majority muslim" area. That group makes up most of the government of Saudi Arabia, Yemen, UAE, etc.

On top of that, there is no punishment for those actions in islam. There are no rules against couples displaying affection.

chapter 2 verse 256 kind of nips all of that in the bud by saying "there is no compulsion in religion"..

You can search youtube and find numerous videos of muslims denouncing salafism/wahhabism and the ruling house of Saud.

it is neither off topic, nor is it an assumption of mine, these are facts which we experience in turkey on a yearly basis just like an anniversary or tradition. i'm sick of reading about this stuff, extremists are not sick of committing the same act over and over. in UK it is the breastfeeding woman, in tr it is the poeple who are not much into religion and keep on with the normal course of their lives.

btw i'm not against any specific race or religion, quite on the contrary i'm defending the rights of the students to wear their headscarves when attending their classes at the uni (which is prohibited by law), do whatever you want, wear whatever you wanna, live however you wish but just don't get sharia anywhere near us to impose restrictions upon us.

My sheikh is from Turkey and constantly talks about turkish muslims being "too much like Saudi Arabs".

(didn't see Turkey in your first post so I apologize there)

its okay, your sheikh is a sufist then, sufizm rules, even tho i'm no longer muslim (never was a devout one anyway), i'm into sufizm, gives the shivers down my spine (in a good way) just like the alawism. its an entirely different philosophy. how bitter, turkey is the cradle of sufism and it was supposed to be a modern, secular country, alas i have to watch it being washed down the drain.

anyway, to stay on topic, i still think that what the breastfeeding mother experienced is a scandal amidst a western country plus with her legal rights to feed her baby regardless of location and time.

Yes, I'm under sheikh Nazim Haqqani of the Naqshbandi Tariqa.

And I fail to believe that this simple misunderstanding has anything at all to do with Islam.

This is a bull thread as per the title, let's get that out of the way.
The Daily Mail story is a bull story, as there never was a law against breastfeeding full stop, and in any case the mother asked for somewhere to feed her baby, (as per the DM story) so obviously she did not want to be public in what she wanted to do anyway, I would expect that most mothers would prefer to do the same. The trouble is some daft dick had to include breastfeeding into the Sexual discrimination act under goods and services without clarification simply because there is/was no clarification needed, but in 2008 SDA did introduce an update and that was to do with no upper age limit for a baby..sorry breastfeeding.

Now, I have been in a restaurant and got up to speak to someone I knew and saw a woman breastfeeding her baby, I had seen the couple coming in and in the interim there was not a note out of the baby, or ever any note at all so why??

Nothing of course to do with this case but I'm sure a smart lawyer could bring a case against that mother under SDA's legistration, the whole thing is a bit daft.

Many of yall know I am no fan of the muzzies. Period.

Unless all the people first encountered were muzzie, the story reads that a muzzie guy stood up for the lady and for that should get kudos.

If the people first encountered were ethnic Brits and were giving the lady static, they should be taken out and horse whipped. for really giving a damn about a multi culti building.

Multi Culti? Anti Western, anti European.

wev put so much on breasts that a man cant see one with out almost rapeing the woman thats why this always happens even a congres man is a slob at heart like all men

the most important thing is self control if we dont have that then we are just monkeys and we should be treated as such though we should not presue this kind of feeling to our fellow man

do not press hate and no one will hate you i believe is the way
