While there have been a few "lightly thought" responses to your thread (read: moronic), I have no doubt that people whose livelihoods are directly related to an intimate relationship with their environment would notice even subtle changes to that environment. And, being far enough removed from our "system", not much control, silence, or manipulation can be effective from tptb...

As pointed out, the obliquity (tilt) of Earth's axis relative to the Sun, which determines where the sun rises and sets, changes at the rate of about 2.4º in 41,000 years. That is not enough to produce a noticeable change in 1 (or 100) generations.

Brother, your scientific knowledge doesn't explain why Inuit people are experiencing this, because they are. Their way of life depends of an acient knowledge, the sun and the stars used to tell them when and where to hunt before we had telescopes and satellites.

I don't know about the Earth changing it's tilt, but I do feel that the sun has changed. In my opinion, the sun is hotter, and emits a brighter white light. I notice this every time I go out in the summer, and notice how blinding it seems to be, how the landscape is just bathed in a very, very bright white light. The color spectrum seems different and it appears to be harder to focus on anything.

Perhaps I could be going blind, which I would prefer, but I've noticed this in the past 2 to 3 years. I do question whether or not I'm imagining it, or if there are other factors involved in altering my perception, still I recognize something has changed.

I read years ago, that earth shifts it`s axis ever 42,000 yrs or so, 19-23degrees if I remember rightly.

There are 2 worlds here: the human world(what we control/manipulate) and the natural world(things out of reach/not in our hands). The problem here is we humans tend to mix both worlds together. And since we are obviously alone we assume that we are influencing and the cause(or some how connected) of the natural world's constant evolution. Frankly I think its a bit egotistical on our part.


Whether the planets axis changes , it has nothing to do with an earthquake or riots in Greece. If there is a volcano spewing lava it has nothing to do with some plague stricken region in africa or 7 wars currently happening. We tend to put them all into one pot and create a "doomsday story line" as if they are accurate signs of end of days. They are not. These are not the end of days. Whether we are here or not ,,life will continue without us. The sun will continue to be the cause of global warming without us ,just as the other planets in our beloved solar system is also warming. Don't see any humans burning fossil fuel in mars, right?



Is our industrial approach causing damage to our planet. YES. But don't be mistaken , its not the natural world we are doing harm. We are damaging the human world. There's a big difference. We tend to think we are so important and special ; that without us this planet would be worthless. Not true, this planet will do just fine with or without us.



And for all you members, that have blind faith with some eskimo's observation: the moon is the "keeper" of earth . The moon is the only force that holds earths axis at 22degrees+/-.... As the moon slowly leaves earth's "gravitational pull" .The earth's axis will be slowly affected. So if our eskimo is dead right then our moon is the cause . Without the moon life would be extremely inconsistent on earth.


Hope I haven't ruined anyone's doomsday agenda.

The Earth tilts, slowls and speeds up quite often (relative to it's age) but even in our own terms. The 2006 tsunami .. most Earthquakes over 7.0, etc. They're slight so we don't notice, but they happen. And guess what? Our scientist and astronomers notice right away.

I fail to see them noticing anything we haven't noticed ourselves.

Also: Pole shifts don't change the axis of the planet.. that's why it's called the Geographical Pole and the Magnetic Pole. Pole Shifts have happened during Human History and nothing drastic noticably happened. Really tierd of the Liberal propaganda that we are all about to meet our demise by weather unless we pay a Carbon Tax.

I think you need to read them. If you did you'd see the changes these quakes make are typically quite small when it comes to shortening the length of a day. The changes in the axis are, likewise, small and well within the confines of changes in axial tilt that take place as part of a natural cycle. From your daily mail article:

Dr Gross, from Nasa's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, calculated the quake should have moved Earth's figure axis (the axis about which Earth's mass is balanced) by about three inches.

Three inches, hardly an apocalyptic change.

The article for the Japan quake says the axis shifted 10 cm. Again hardly apocalyptic. I'm no scientists but I'm guessing the effects these tiny changes would have are minor at best and hardly enough to make the sun and stars appear in completely different places.

On topic: These changes are observable throughout our solar system, and like the Inuit I do not fear what is only a natural cycle. What ever will be, will be. What bothers me is that if we know about these changes why are they being hidden/covered up?

The PTB cannot tell what it really is, because that would blow the cover off their phony man-made anthropomorphic climate change agenda that says to raise taxes and cap emissions to control it. That is all a contrived effort by TPTB to have a reason for a One World GLobal Tax. But if they can't get it from phony climate change, they will get it through Global recession/depression/banking crisis. Richard Trumpka knows all about that, as he's pushing it openly.

Originally they were placed above and below the North and South Poles respectively and along the equatorial line, outside of our planet.

A Galactic council deemed this as too much intervention and they had to remove the ships from the equator, and we are getting very close to the evacuation, supposedly.

This makes the most sense to me.

Polar shift? Do you even know the meaning of those words? And it's going to be caused by gradual Earthquakes?

Polar wander should not be confused with precession or nutation, which is where the axis of rotation moves, in other words the North Pole points toward a different star.

The effect should further not be confused with the effect known as geomagnetic reversal that describes the repeated proven reversal of the magnetic field of the Earth.

I see people confusing these subjects all the time, they aren't the same thing and they aren't connected to small changes in the Earth's axis caused by quakes.

The Earth's magnetic poles shift naturally as well and currently the North pole is moving at a decent clip towards Siberia but that isn't catastrophic either. I was curious so I looked up how long it takes for True Polar Wander to actually take place and you're right it is gradual:

Polar wander can tip the entire planet on its side at a rate of perhaps several meters per year, about 10 to 100 times as fast as the continents drift due to plate tectonics.

Several meters per year, it would take an awful long time for the sky over Alaska to change drastically and who knows if the human race will even survive long enough to see how far the Earth moves. All of this is natural and seems entirely un-catastrophic yet we have people here on ATS (not you hopefully) who seem to think this will be some kind of Doomsday when it hasn't even been proven to be currently taking place (polar wander I mean).

Bodies under the astronomer bandwagon! Typical big city hicks thinking they know more than inuit people who have thousands of years experience of harmonious living with mother earth. But hey, you're right. They know nothing about changes to their environment and locations of the stars used for referencing the dark of the night in navigation. But some hick with a telescope who has never left the city does. Eh?

So uhh this pole shift is making polution and acid rain fall on the Inuit too?
