People can deny deny deny......change is real and it is coming/happening. Research everything that is going on with our Earth...its happening at an alarming rate.

I wanted to add this older article I was just reading!! I mean...just read again.....and it relates heavy.

what relates heavy??...what are you trying to say?...of course, change is real, who is denying that? what people are denying that change is real?...what the hell are you all talking about?

The climate change/carbon tax crowd are denying this, i.e. the people who repeat like parrots the baloney the mainstream media vomits at them.

As opposed to the people who reject decades of peer-reviewed science from thousands of scientists from around the world because of some BS published by the Petroleum industry?

Also, OP, Search is your friend:

This has been posted two or three times in the 4years since it has become public.

Sorry due to lack of capital letters where needed, I can't understand what you're trying to write.

Maybe if you use correct grammar I could understand.

Lol, don't be silly!
If you can't understand what the OP wrote, then there's something not right..

The video was the most important, picking on his spelling wasn't fair.

Then do this, for me. Yes, for me. Just go outside your home today at sunset and look. Don't read an article, or an astronomy book (I know you don't have to), or look at maps or through telescopes, or quote any books.

Just go outside, and actively look with your own two eyes, and see if anything looks different. The sun still rises in the East. Follow your eyes across the sky, to the West. Is the sun there at sunset?

Just humor me, okay? Phage, at my house it's not just a little North. It's way North. Not North per se,
but about half way between where direct West and direct North would be.

In fact, everybody on the thread should do this. Okay? Humor me?

And don't everybody say you don't have to go look because you already know! Go Look! Please

People can deny, deny, deny all they want. The writing is on the wall, those that are old enough to remember the last say 45 years, know that since 2000 the earth has changed exponentially, 1 earthquake with 8.9 mag and above in a generation perhaps, 2 in less than 10 years along with the horrific tsunamis, 1 that killed over a quarter of a million people and then japan 9.2 mag 20,000 plus gone, not normal. Along with all the other numerous quakes, floods, record snowfalls here in nyc and around, drought, cracks in the earth the world over, the heatwaves of europe, now the Inuit are chiming in, all point to the fact we are all in deep deep #, because it hasn't happened in your back yard is no excuse to be non-sholant, am I a fear monger nope, just posting the facts. I say if there was ever a time to enjoy life to its very fullest it would be now, these are the are the good old days, enjoy em while you got em. Choose to go on as if nothings happening, but there will be a time soon, when you'll be saying shoulda, coulda, woulda. Simple as that.

Everything is related: Think its not, when it really is. Yeah ok. And gwb wasn't the worst president in american history, along with oil is the best fuel source this planet will ever see, and U.F.Os aren't and never have been real. Keep dreaming.

I have. I do. Every day. I live in the tropics. My house faces north. The Sun rises in the east and sets in the west. Just like it always has. The more north you live, the more north of west the Sun will set. Just like it always has. That's the way it works.

I read y'day that the south pole actually has nights lasting about 5 hours at the moment while it's supposed to be light all day long now.

Hard to confirm but synchronous nevertheless.

Maybe we actually are on the frontseat of some major earth changes (which i wouldnt mind in regards to it being a "once in a lifetime" experience, quite litterally) but only time will tell i guess.

There are 2 worlds here: the human world(what we control/manipulate) and the natural world(things out of reach/not in our hands). The problem here is we humans tend to mix both worlds together. And since we are obviously alone we assume that we are influencing and the cause(or some how connected) of the natural world's constant evolution. Frankly I think its a bit egotistical on our part.

Whether the planets axis changes , it has nothing to do with an earthquake or riots in Greece. If there is a volcano spewing lava it has nothing to do with some plague stricken region in africa or 7 wars currently happening. We tend to put them all into one pot and create a "doomsday story line" as if they are accurate signs of end of days. They are not. These are not the end of days. Whether we are here or not ,,life will continue without us. The sun will continue to be the cause of global warming without us ,just as the other planets in our beloved solar system is also warming. Don't see any humans burning fossil fuel in mars, right?

Is our industrial approach causing damage to our planet. YES. But don't be mistaken , its not the natural world we are doing harm. We are damaging the human world. There's a big difference. We tend to think we are so important and special ; that without us this planet would be worthless. Not true, this planet will do just fine with or without us.

And for all you members, that have blind faith with some eskimo's observation: the moon is the "keeper" of earth . The moon is the only force that holds earths axis at 22degrees+/-.... As the moon slowly leaves earth's "gravitational pull" .The earth's axis will be slowly affected. So if our eskimo is dead right then our moon is the cause . Without the moon life would be extremely inconsistent on earth.

Hope I haven't ruined anyone's doomsday agenda.

These Inuit statements remind me of a brief news clip I found a few months ago - when a Nordic country (I think Norway, but my memory could be wrong) expressed surprise that the sun rose two days earlier than expected after their winter.

Remember the Native American prophecies that a change in the sun's position (as measured by the sun's shadow on an ancient rock diagram) will herald the onset of a series of major earth changes?

Thanks to the OP!

I do not think that is a good answer.

Perhaps bedlam or phage can repeat to us something they have read somewhere.

Bedlam and Phage have given you enough information for you to go and check it out for yourself. Perhaps you could do that then come back and prove them wrong instead of sneering at people who clearly know more than you, a person who obviously believes any old crap from YouTube.

When you want to include a youtube video, copy only the part of the link after the "=" symbol, not all the link.

I'm not an astronomer, and understand little about the sky except the direction of sunrise and sunset.

That said, the Inuit are not at my latitude, they are incredibly close to the pole, and so being are subject to the effects of change in the spin of the planet in relation to the stars and our sun.

If they say they notice a difference, I believe them.

Likewise, our planet's spin has changed greatly over millions of years, who is to say the change is not quick, rather than slow.

Our poles can shift independent of the spin of the planet. Indeed at the pivot point, our scientists make adjustments to the position of the pole and mark it with a stake.

As to our governments giving us the facts, I never hold my breath. They prefer to distort and obfuscate.

Aaaaand - 16 cm is...how much in terms of axial deviation? What do you think?

10 degrees?
1 degree?
1/1000 of a degree?
1/1000000 of a degree?

come on, guess at an order of magnitude here.

As noted above, this is an old topic, and one that has two other threads covering the EXACT SAME INFO already on ATS.

ATS search : Inuit.

It's all changing like we knew it would, I remember in grade school people where doing science projects about the effects of greenhouse gases, and chloroflorocarbons too, but no one listened. Now we are making everything extinct because we had to use nuclear energy, this has to stop, get rid of it, before the next catastrophe happens and we infect everyone else around the world too.
I'm not saying this is why the earth is tilting, I am saying we are already in enough trouble with things that are happening in the cosmos too. Times are bad... really really bad...

Here's you a good one then - the magnetic pole is not the pole of rotation.

The stuff you quoted - it's about the magnetic pole. Not the axis of rotation of the earth. That's the one that would have to change for the Inuit - if they are - to see this sort of thing. Actually, for the sun to rise in the "right" place and set in the "wrong" place, it would have to be moving around a huge amount during the day, which would require Chuck Norris to do, and you'd be able to tell from being dead as the crust ripped off.

Here's you another fact to go check, and you can do it yourself! Go look at an ephemeris. Or hey, pick up an old Farmer's Almanac. Get the sunrise and set times for today. See if they're right or wrong. Case closed.
