Anyone thats saying these things are "all in your mind" have no actual experience with the spiritual. Its exactly what you would think if you didnt, I know I did.

As it says a "A Kingdom divided against itself cannot stand"

19:31
Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.

Leviticus 20

Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.

And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not;

Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.

Your quotes mean nothing regarding belief being in the mind. Where else is belief going to be manifested?

Here's a quote for you:

Proverbs 23:7

"As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he."

Belief dictated the kind of man they would be. Heart and mind are not seperate.

Anything that has to do with tampering the spiritual realm is dangerous, not just physically but pretty much it will effect everything in your life because you allowed it too.

I see many people here don't believe it because there's no imperical evidence of the spiritual realm and I'll tell you guys right now there will NEVER be any. No photo, video, audio, nor story, anything will convince you because the spiritual realm is such surreal thing, unnatural according to our society. The only way you'll ever be convinced is only witnessing it with your bare eyes and I bet you most people who believe in it has witness it themselves.

Just because you tried the ouija board and nothing happened to YOU doesn't mean anything, and probably never will because you don't believe in it. You have to understand their prerogative for these evil creatures is for you to lose faith and if it means for them to not do anything to you to loose your faith then they already achieved their goal with you.

People may find it laughable that a kids toy can be spiritually dangerous but really when it comes to these type of things I can use a plastic sippy cup filled with milk and alphabet cherrios and if I wholeheartedly belive it and practice it... then eventually it will happen because you are inviting them into your life, it really doesn't matter what you use to contact them it's how you practice it and it's really not difficult to invite them over but you would really have to be stupid to do so.

Sorry but there's never going to be empirical data of supernatural realm, it will never be accepted in scientific community. Most people here need to get over themselves and put their egos aside and do the research themselves... if you want evidence then you know what to do...

When I was 7 years old a friends of mine found one in her basement (we'd gone in to get some pool floats), the thing actually levitated , stopped in mid air and then got thrown against the wall. Scared to death does not even begin to describe how we felt. Sadly for the nay Sayers we didn’t have a video for them to blast as fake. We didn't even try to use the thing ....
After that I had a terrible seemed to be awake dream, I heard 2 entities whispering in my ear, they sounded like they were talking in Latin (their voices were really creepy), they were basically whispering obscenities and requesting I help them, which I refused. I opened my eyes, and the voices went away, but then these huge silver pitch forks appeared to float through the air toward me, when they hit my skin and went through me I felt searing pain (no blood), these forks went away when I closed my eyes, but then their whispering came back ... this seemed to go on for forever with me keeping my eyes open for as long as I could stand the pain. I was very grateful to wake up in the morning. Then started the series of our cat death dreams, each time the cat in question would die within a few weeks of the dream, which I can tell you was very very upsetting because I felt as if it was my fault. My Mom was a big cat rescue person.

So I would not go near one of these boards even if you paid me a million bucks

I doubt it works. If it dows, it would also work with, say, a piece of paper and a magnifying glass. Those boards are just a piece of wood. Most people seem to got into using those with the mindset "Now i will meet my dead grandmother" or "Now i'm gonna meet a demon" and your mind plays tricks on you.
Nothing else.

If there was something else, it would've been shown, proven that there is more to that toy then what it is, a party toy to have some fun with.

Yes - leave them alone. If you have any spirtual bones in your body leave them alone. Not from any bible thumping stand point, but accross the board. It is a game that teaches the uniniated to open pathways that lead generally to darker places and you may not like what they allow in. My own experiences are my own and I will not disclose here, but they were not good at the end of the day.

Shadow85, what you say makes lots of sense, but I didn't even know what the board was, I had no intentions of talking to any dead etc, we just stumbled upon the thing whilst rummaging for pool floats, (in our wet swimming costumes) we didn't even attempt to use the thing, I was only 7 years old and had never heard of this Ouija Board thing .....
....
And it levitated stopped in mid air and flew across the basement hitting the wall..... .it still gives me creeps to this day.

I still think it's impossible, but it happened to me so ...not much I can say really other than I would never knowingly go near one again.

Finally a thread where I can make my first comment

This is my experience with this kind of games...

Here in my country (Argentina) the Ouija board is not that popular. Instead, we play "The cup game" (the same but with a cup). When I was like 13 I played this game with my cousins and everytime it worked. It wasn´t like I was moving it, but I have to admit that sometimes I give it a little push to the cup to start the "game". I dont know if this kind of stuff is real, but one time when we asked who where we talking to, the cup only went to the letter "Ñ". Then he said something like he was a gnome called "Ñ" and that he was there but we couldn´t see him, because of his little size.
The next time I played with another guys, in the same place, and we got the same answers from this "Ñ" gnome. It was creepy, because I was the only one who knew about it, and I wasnt moving it. This time he told us that he was stuck in that room, because of us. Then the cup went crazy and moved outside of the board.

One night on that same week, I heard a lot of noises coming from that room (obviously I didnt went in there) and the next morning, I saw that one window was broken on the floor, the light inside was also broken and someone had been eating some ham and butter in there. I was alone on the house, and all of that isn´t the typical M.O. of a burglar. So I blamed "Ñ" for that and never again played that game.

This is my first post in this forum and I'll say this:

I was a believer for a long time. This was largely due to hearing stories from family, which automatically gives the story merit in my mind. Then as I continued to go to places that were supposedly haunted and watched shows like Ghost Hunters...I realized something. I can avoid believing in something without it being an insult to family members that have had experiences.

My mother and grandmother...my aunts as well...have had some interesting and scary experiences with Ouija boards...but I haven't.

Believe what you want, but I don't believe they're dangerous and won't until something happens directly to myself.

I actually have an Ouija mouse pad I made/printed off myself... really for the novelty of things, I honestly like the look of them. I have used it for over 3 years, and I am using it right now as a matter of fact. There's been nothing special or supernatural that has occurred due to it in my opinion. Some strange things did happen about a year ago around here when I first moved into a new apartment, at the time I also traveled a bit and saw a couple UFO's over the course of three days, one of them pretty up close(that's another story). After all that happening I returned home and strange stuff started happening around the house. Strange dreams, microwave turning on by it's self, weird foot tracks in the snow leading to my door, and just all out weird coincidences. Of course at the time I had watched a few David Lynch movies, so maybe he helped contribute to the madness. Anyways, I got rid of the microwave (which I TOTALLY recommend anyways) and started meditating, did a prayer type thing throughout the apartment, made a couple orgonite desk like pyramids, and hung up a few dream catchers just in case. And all the madness stopped happening immediately. Now yes, I will say it was mighty insane happenings, but I feel in now way that Ouija boards are responsible. I also have 2 real ones as well, one from the 70's, and a glow in the dark one from the 90's, which looks killer under blacklight.

My impression is... you can conjure up spirits/demons with any medium as long as you fear them, in my case I love the look of the boards. So within that thought you could ask your toaster questions from beyond because you fear it might burn down your house. Or even conjure up spirits/demons with a toothbrush if that's spooky enough for you. haha... Point being, I know other dimensions exist, there's scientific fact to prove that. Does it contain spirits/demons... probably. But a board that everyone is spooked about is only as effective as you let it be. If you fear the object you are using in order to try and contact the other side with, then yeah you'll probably get some lovely/scary experience. That being, any object. Say your dad beat you with a belt when you were a kid, he died years later, you grow up and find it, reminding yourself of those tormenting times, then yeah I am sure you can raise his spirit, or a demon who is trying to impersonate him. But really why bother, they are stuck in another realm/dimension for a good reason.

On a final note... I have never used the Ouija boards or mouse pad to contact spirits or the other side, whatever that may be. I simply like them for novelty purposes. I however do record music, and used my mobile setup to eventually record a Class-A EVP in a graveyard with some pretty pricey equipment. You should see the faces of people who visit my apartment and see I am using an Ouija mouse pad to record them. Priceless... half of them immediately think I worship satan.... typical mindset! And that's one of the reasons the boards are effective in the first place, all the hype all of us have endured while growing up regarding these supposed evil devices... the evil is within the hands of the be-holder.

Luke 11:24
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

This implies a seperate entity

Mark Chapter 1:24-27

And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.

And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.

And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

Luke 8:27-36
And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.

(For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)

And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.

And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.

And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.

Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.

When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country.

Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.

And from my own personal experience, what will break the camel's back is when you make the revelation that these things do not come from your own mind, demonic influence. When this happens you become a dangerous enemy to them. That is the greatest deception. To convince the world that these things do not exist or to accept them as causing no harm.

No, I don't think so. Of course you always get the scripture fanatics on here copy/paste the same ol' nonsense that has done more harm in the world than any game good ol' Milton Bradley has in his archive.

However, Hollywood has made some great movie moments off of them e.g. Poltergeist/Paranormal Activity/Beetle Juice etc. I don't think it's a gateway to anything other than if you just want to mess with it for nostalgic entertainment. And if that's the case for me personally I'd rather dust off an old atari 26k

hey guys,

Do you think that Ouija board is dangerous to use?
I tried once but nothing happened.
Perhaps some of you tried it out and had experienced something great.
I searched the net for other people's experiences but most of them look fake. It's hard to trust the net lol.

What do you guys think? Does it work and is it really dangerous?

In a word NO.
Ouija boards were marketed to the public as a family board game by Parker Bros both in the U.K and U.S in the early seventies and were very popular. There were no links to the paranormal, and mostly simple words like good, bad, yes and no being produced. In 1973 however thing changed when the Parker Bros Ouija board was featured in The Exorcist. After the film came out people started claiming that they were having contact with spirits and demons etc. That maybe the case, it may not, but since that time the Ouija board has been associated with the paranormal. I have used my mums original Parker Bros ouija board that she bought in 1969 many times and nothing sinister has ever happened.

I have seen some of these events and a lot of the time the people would talk out loud to lay down the rules that the entity has to follow. Do you know if this is required for safe communication so the entity will not influence anyone taking part in the session. I have heard of stories of people claiming something followed them home, as well as the person who hosted the session started having strange things happening in their home. Another claim I have heard is that sometimes the entity will cling to someone who was involved with the session, as well as thinking they have been cursed afterwards.

peace,Nova

Nonsense because you have no spiritual discernement, why because, like you say its nonsense. Right. I can sit here and rebuke with scripture all day.

Corinthians 8:1
Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

2 Corinthians 3:3
Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

I guess it all depends on how you view your subconscious mind.

The ouija board, if it "works" for you, will basically reflect your subconscious self...so ya, its about as dangerous as pondering stuff honestly

Are Ouija Boards Dangerous?

Absolutely!

Just look.

Look at those pointy corners. Given the average velocity of a human male's throw, and the mass of the object, you could easily harm an individual with a Ouija board. Even worse, if your accuracy is up to snuff, you could easily blind a person by hitting them in the eye.

Stay away from Ouija Boards.

Your subconcious doesnt do this.

And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

Not ever having seen any of them ^

And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

I avoided them growing up, mainly cause of my mom constantly telling me what her family had told her about "some doors you don't want to open". Also had friends who had some messed up experiences talking to a friend's mother who'd committed suicide and told of her burning in hell as a nearby radio burst into flames.

25 years later, I got one for the hell of it. I set it on top of some bookshelves. That evening I heard a horrible noise, and what had been a very sturdy bookshelf hours ago had somehow crumpled and dumped hundreds of books onto the spot where my dog had JUST gotten up. Would have crushed her. Two identical bookshelves hold MUCH heavier books and have no structural problem 4 years later. Rationally I think it was just a crazy cooincidence... but I threw it away to be safe.

You might want to re post this under a different title. Something that appeals to those that have had bad experiences with a Quija board.

I have had a bad experience with the Quija board, back in the early 90's. My best friend was messing around with it. Over the next couple months, after. I had strange occurrences in my house at night. Noises, that I couldn't explain. Feelings like someone or something was in my room, I couldn't move, and I could hear shuffling around my bed. I made 2 attempts at throwing it away. I could have sworn, that I had removed the board from my closet and tossed it outside in the garbage can. Then, I found it a couple days later back in my closet.
I do thank that it opens a portal for bad spirits to enter our world. I wouldn't recommend messing around with it.

The ouija board itself is not dangerous, it's the act of letting in a spirit itself which is dangerous. You don't need an ouija board to do it, you can bring it on by just a thought..it's the intention which matters.
