Is Ouija board dangerous?

Don't you mean it was marketed as a toy and now no longer is in this day an age because we have computer games?

If anything, the board represents a mindset that is focused on the spectral side. Could act as a tool for just that. Focus thoughts. Just like staring into a candle. Is it, in itself evil? I doubt it. But it does create energies (well, we do anyway).

I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion, but as usual the baseless ranting proliferate.
It's amazing how some people can even use a board with some letters that they never even used themselves as a proof of exitence of their invisible friend. Talk about twisting things..

Why don't you just ask it?

They say its dangerous, that its sorta like opening a door to the spirit world so they can talk to you...I wouldnt use one in your own home use it somewhere else

i think they work, at least when i used one with my sisters and was asking personal questions about my deceased father that later were proved to be correct. but since then ive watched many documentaries on proving it had nothing to do with the spirit world.

Ive used them quite a bit and had both good and bad experiences i wouldn't say dangerous but it can get a bit hairy

My parents told me a story of when they tried it in the late 60's just before I was born.

They said they were just as skeptical about it and decided to give it a try.. Some guys name came out and it started spelling out words to my Mum such as 'SL*T', C*NT' and other horrific words that my dad would never use.. I.e It's not exactly as though any of them were faking it to say swear words like those.. They immediately stopped it.

I had a go last year in a 'haunted house' in York and my wife was having nothing to do with it.. It was a dark room with a single candle in with 2-3 boards on a big old table.. Needless to say nothing happened....

Forget the shop bought models and make your own.
Dont use a planchete use an upturned wine glass on a highly polished wooden surface.
When the glass is on the surface, if you give it a flick with your finger it should overcome friction and be able to travel about12 inches from one good flick.

Now write the letters of the alphet and numbers 0 - 9 on individual pieces of paper and arrange in a circle of about 3 feet diameter on the polished wooden surface, write the words yes and no on pieces of paper and place them apart in the middle of the circle.

Place the glass upside down in the middle of the circle and each player rests the very tip of his/her finger very lightly on the edge of the base of the glass (which is now the top). Each player should sit equidistant from those next to him/her. Make sure the lights are off and candles are burning to set the mood.

One person starts by asking "Is there anybody there?" keep asking the question until the glass starts to move. Do not press too hard on the glass, just resting your finger on it so you barely make/keep contact with it is enough pressure. You should try to get about 4 people around the circle, but I have seen it work with 3 but never 2 or 1.

Sometimes the "spirit" will spell out gibberish which wont make sense, but persevere and sooner or later you will get a real Badass Demon who wants to play with you, the glass will move so fast you will be scared sh!tless. In order to convince everyone there that it is not a fraud, each person can ask a question out loud to which only they know the answer. The Demon will give it and thats when things start to feel a bit creeped out.

I have seen candles snuffed out and the glass move so fast it almost tipped over when it hit the outer rim of the wooden table. This is definately not an activity for the feint of heart.

Many, if not most, people involved with paranormal activity/research steer clear of the ouija board because of the reports of people who HAVE used it to their detriment.

Many answers you receive on this forum will be from atheists who do not believe in God or evil spirits.

Even the guys hosting "Mysterious Universe" stay clear of these boards for a reason. Playing with fire will eventually lead to burns.

Maybe nothing will happen...or...maybe something will happen... The point is, I've never heard of a "positive" outcome from using the board; thus, you can expect that either nothing will happen ...or something bad will happen... and following those ends to their logical conclusion, you can understand this:

You have nothing to gain and much to lose, so messing around with that device is completely inadvisable... A little wisdom will go a long way, here, so if you are going to err, then err on the side of caution. Just say no.

im more of an agnostic but i know ouija boards aren't MAGICAL DEVICES to contact the dead.

the ouija board was first made by the parker brothers (creators of monopoly, cluedo, risk). it was to see what your subconcious mind would tell you, that is why you may get some truths from it.

just a board game that got some bad publicity!

maybe you can get spiderman or harry potter to undo it for you! i have proof of their existence. you may picj up various episodes at your local walmart in dvd or paperback.

It works. it's dangerous. It's dangerous because you're literally opening a door to a place you know nothing about, and not everything in that place is nice. I advise caution..

i don't want to hear a faith vs proof argument, just logic and reason.

Anyone thats saying these things are "all in your mind" have no actual experience with the spiritual. Its exactly what you would think if you didnt, I know I did.
