There was still NO reason at the time to tweet that. It was before the story came out. She had no reason to make it up. She tweeted she saw it right then. Then didn't think about it again cause she saw nothing else on it until the "real" story came out a couple days later.

There was if a person misread the ticker that was about Osama that day, the one that contained the words "Osama Bin Laden Killed" at the end.

The OP says they seen the whole ticker, but also says they can't remember the wording, or program it was on, etc etc.

Mikey

OMG, she was talking about the program that was airing at the time. She wasn't watching tv so she doesn't remember the program that was on, it was only when her gm alerted her to watch the ticker. And they watched it cycle more than once. She paid attention to the ticker, just not to the program that was airing at the time. And she only told us about that because everyone kept asking what was airing because they were trying to locate video evidence. She already confirmed that she saw the whole ticker and didn't just catch the tail end of it. And watched it more than once. Seriously need to drop it.

I swear, some people here are so dense it's frustrating!

Those of you who clearly do not understand twitter and how it works, and those of you who didn't bother to actually read this entire thread, need to stop and learn more about what we are talking about before getting into a debate.

Not to say this isn't true, but what about the guy who tweeted about hearing gunfire where the compound was raided?

Very strange indeed. I edited my post before you posted to add both titles.

Maybe a mod can explain? (I sent them the question.)

I remember saying that the background of the Presidnet's announcement looked fake. I figured they put up a fals background to hide his location, incase he was targeted, but I assume that I was wrong to think that, as he walked from the podium he went into the background..... CGI?

Yes, but look, just some quotes from the OP

“I wasn't paying any attention to the show… …but rather, I was watching the ticker.”

“They were probably talking about the royal wedding, I'd imagine. I can't remember though. I didn't think I'd have to remember, ya know?”

“Hmmm... I'm trying to remember. I believe I posted it soon after seeing it”

“I usually post things quickly”

“I can't remember the exact wording now”

So to me (and no offense to the OP) but it seems to me she can’t remember much about it, not even the wording. I still think she misread the ticket and by her own words “quickly tweeted” about it, why no tweets after it, such as “still no news on the Osama death” maybe because the OP re read the correct ticker after they tweeted. It seems a bit flakey.

That just seems to make more sense to me.

So my grandmother and I BOTH misread it? I'm a journalist. I don't typically "misread" things. I'm fairly good about that.

Anyways... you surely know how to pick and choose quotes. I did say those things, but I also can be quoted as saying how confident I am that I saw what I saw, and read what I read, and other things to that extent.

But you can believe whatever you want. Doesn't matter to me.

I think you both misreading it is more possible than a news ticker showing the information days before it happens, during the time a ticker with similar wording was going across. The simplest explanation is most likely the correct one.

I don't think you are here trying to lie to every one, not at all. I think you might just have misread it. My point is, the only way we can prove this now is if someone has a recording of the ticker itself, as your tweet is not proof, as you could have simply misread the ticker, like hundreds of people do all the time, regardless of their profession.

I hope someone finds the ticker and can show that it did say what you say it did, but until then, we won't know.

Mikey

I'm definitely open to the possibility that I was wrong, but I highly doubt it as I'm pretty confident that I saw/read what I did. My grandma was too. I hope we can find a video of the ticker.

Also, someone else apparently tweeted about seeing the ticker too. I haven't contacted the person yet, but may. If any of you are interested in doing so, you can scroll around to find their username on my Twitter page. It would be the 28th or 29th of April. It's something i RT'ed that someone sent me to. That'll make sense to Twitter users, lol.

I'm just interested in finding the truth, whatever that may be.

I'm almost sure I saw someone post that conversation in this thread, and even looked for it, but heck if I can find it again in all these pages
Or I may have dreamed it.

I can't believe this thread is 28 pages long based what the OP claimed he or she saw. Not one piece of evidence has been brought forth that proves Fake News ran a ticker of Bin Laden's death a full day before he was killed.

From the get go something didn't feel right and still doesn't. And I was really hoping from first news of all of this it was gonna be a defining moment for Obama, really as much as I distrust him I was optimistic as I thought he was turning a new leaf and was gonna live up to the transparency he touted during his pre election. I was giving his administration the benefit of the doubt, yet don't quite feel the same as of late. And to all those "heros" of this operation I hope for your sake the story checks out or else your nothing but a bunch of losers that failed this nation yet again. And if thats the case I fear for the worst when push comes to shove concerning the freedoms of us regular citizens as I have never doubted that before but now I have some bad feelings.

I've always thought he was already dead too. But who knows. I don't know what to believe anymore. This whole thing with OBL supposedly being killed NOW, just seems fishy. I just HIGHLY doubt that they'd find him and immediately kill him, without trying to get any info whatsoever from him. Sounds sketchy to me.

It's full of holes, yes, and the date issue might be well be a big one. But we have to be very careful about defining the holes and showing meticulous evidence, and this isn't easy with so much extraneous information and hearsay flying around.

There are some pretty good indicators that there is something really funky going on with the date it happened, this thread may well turn out to be one of them...if we can find the ticker.

Tomorrow I'm going on a quest to find out if there is any official WH source that said the date. It was alluded to by them but not clearly stated, from everything I've read and seen, so I personally can not definitively state at this time whether they did or did not state and exact date and time.

It doesn't prove anything or give evidence to anything. Someone tweeted on December 29th and 30th that Osama was dead, and what?

"judyth_piazza‎ RT @newsblaze Osama Bin Laden is Dead?
Osama Bin Laden is Dead?‎ - newsblaze.com
Twitter - Dec 30, 2010 4:38:31 AM"

"KJKinLA‎ Osama bin Laden is dead - Washington Times
Osama bin Laden is dead - Washington Times‎ - washingtontimes.com
Twitter - Dec 29, 2010 5:46:25 PM"

OMG
