And the locals who came in right after the Seals "left" and took time and date-stamped photos of the three dead men? Remember that?

There was still NO reason at the time to tweet that. It was before the story came out. She had no reason to make it up. She tweeted she saw it right then. Then didn't think about it again cause she saw nothing else on it until the "real" story came out a couple days later.

This is going to be like every other interesting thread ive read on ATS. It goes no where and accomplishes nothings sorry to sound so glum but its just something i've noticed. i hope im wrong and the people that are trying to be productive succeed. i'll post something if i find anything relevant. Im trying to get in contact with that guy who posted the video of people dancing about osamas death on the 28th

yes, all of those quotes you re-posted seem to indicate that she has continually told the same story with little to no deviation... what is the problem in that?

I can see not paying attention to the particular show and watching the ticker, especially if not originally watching the show and being directed to the TV ticker by someone else....

It's not like someone told her to watch a particular show and THEN she noticed the ticker below... persoanlly, I probably wouldn't even remember the network broadcasting it, but hey, we are all different

There was if a person misread the ticker that was about Osama that day, the one that contained the words "Osama Bin Laden Killed" at the end.

The OP says they seen the whole ticker, but also says they can't remember the wording, or program it was on, etc etc.

I wonder what the chances are of you walking into the crime scene, where the world's number 1 most wanted person was just killed, and taking pictures would be?

Seems like they would have that site locked up pretty tightly.... very fishy that photos of dead bodies or pictures inside the compound could be taken by a 'neighbor' moments after the raid.

Yes, but look, just some quotes from the OP

“I wasn't paying any attention to the show… …but rather, I was watching the ticker.”

“They were probably talking about the royal wedding, I'd imagine. I can't remember though. I didn't think I'd have to remember, ya know?”

“Hmmm... I'm trying to remember. I believe I posted it soon after seeing it”

“I usually post things quickly”

“I can't remember the exact wording now”

So to me (and no offense to the OP) but it seems to me she can’t remember much about it, not even the wording. I still think she misread the ticket and by her own words “quickly tweeted” about it, why no tweets after it, such as “still no news on the Osama death” maybe because the OP re read the correct ticker after they tweeted. It seems a bit flakey.

That just seems to make more sense to me.

So my grandmother and I BOTH misread it? I'm a journalist. I don't typically "misread" things. I'm fairly good about that.

Anyways... you surely know how to pick and choose quotes. I did say those things, but I also can be quoted as saying how confident I am that I saw what I saw, and read what I read, and other things to that extent.

But you can believe whatever you want. Doesn't matter to me.

Yeah. Gotta say again that unless someone DVR'd or TiVo'd the Fox Report and/or Fox Report on the evening of April 28, 2011, between the hours of approximately 6:00 and 8:00, we might be close to a dead end.

(But who knows, some FoxNews watchers here just may have done this!)

Anyone know if these shows are on-demand with any cable or satellite providers?

Or maybe a random, accidental screen shot, but those odds are pretty low.

Hmm, not saying this is what happened, but it does make me wonder if the President's speech may have been pre-recorded, on the day that he gave the order, or the reports of him (OBL) being killed a week earlier were false.

Seems crazy that they could kill him, get a DNA sample, test it, get the results confirmed and broadcast to the world in the matter of a few hours...

There were several articles saying the speech photos were staged. Here's one:

www.politico.com...

The Reuters writer does say that one network (unnamed) was there to film the speech.

But your thought is interesting, combined with the other parts of the article. How does anyone know FOR SURE that that one network was actually present?

I guess I should have put a "Deep Rabbit Hole" warning before that last statement.

Why won't you let this go? It's been asked and answered numerous times by the OP. Take her word for it or move on.

If you saw something, twice, and had confirmation from someone else about the content of the information being relayed through the ticker, do you feel that you could personally mis-read the ticker- even if you can't remember what the ticker stated, word for word?

On a side note, why did this thread title all of a sudden change?

Did someone edit it? Meg?

I think the title was

Fox News reported OBL's death DAYS EARLY!

and now it's

Fox News reported Bin Laden

which makes no sense?

you might not remember it word for word but the message osama is dead would be clear and you wouldn't mistake that

Has anyone considered emailing Fox (I know someone mentioned it a while back) or the White House with this? Or other news agencies? And what about members of the government/congress? Like, Ron Paul... I'm sure he'd love to hear about it.
Inspired by the post above, saying this thread will inevitably go nowhere... you guys should make it go somewhere. You've got the opportunity, don't lose it.

I'll even help, from the "safety" of Canada. I'm already working to get the word out on my little corner of Facebook, but I'm willing to contact most anyone. People who know me on here know that I rarely leave the physics topics, but I'm pretty sure this warrants our attention.

That's strange. I didn't do it. Actually, that was my original title that posted because it cut off the whole thing. I wanted it to say "Fox News reported OBL's death DAYS EARLIER!!!", or something to that extent. Two seconds after originally posting my post, i edited the title to say what I wanted it to. Not sure why it reverted to the first/mistake title. Hmph.

I think you both misreading it is more possible than a news ticker showing the information days before it happens, during the time a ticker with similar wording was going across. The simplest explanation is most likely the correct one.

I don't think you are here trying to lie to every one, not at all. I think you might just have misread it. My point is, the only way we can prove this now is if someone has a recording of the ticker itself, as your tweet is not proof, as you could have simply misread the ticker, like hundreds of people do all the time, regardless of their profession.

I hope someone finds the ticker and can show that it did say what you say it did, but until then, we won't know.

Mikey
