6 Year Old Girl groped by New Orleans TSA.This Has To Stop...

My point of view on this is that if those terrorists were able to blow themselves up in order to bring "justice", revenge, and [insert number here] virgins, they won't hesitate a second if they were told to blow their kids up.

All this searching might seem brutal and unnecessary to us, they are indeed needed.

I absolutely agree that it's time that crap like this stopped.but the U.S. government ain't gonna do it.It's just as corrupt.The people are gonna have to do it.there's alot of politictions that need to be arrested. THINK EGYPT!!!!!

I believe "the computer" randomly selects a passenger that must be fully searched, and the TSA agent must comply and search that person, no matter who they are (I have personally witnessed celebrities searched) or what their age. If the agent were to refuse to do their job, they would be fired and another agent told to do it. If that person refused, they would be fired, etc until the manager did it himself. They are just following "the rules" that have been laid out.

That being said, I totally agree that it is silly to search little kids. But scientifically, I see the value of a truly random search, including kids and rich people, because if kids were excluded from being searched then that is an obvious security flaw because they could then be ab-used to smuggle items etc.

Again, I do not condone the search, but I understand it.

Get real ppls, there was nothing wrong with the way that the child was frisked, obviously not grooped as the topic suggested. For those of you whom are too ignorant to understand things. People all over the world use children as drug carriers because they are less likely to be searched so what was seen in this video is nothing. Now if the TSA agent had physically grabbed the child in a private area then that would be something. Deny Ignorance!

If someone rubbed my daughters like that for possiable drugs or bombs etc. I would smack im in the mouth. Woman or man. Been to your country a couple of times before 2001. I will never go back again. That TSA agent was doing her job and I have to agree with others in this thread, I think she did it as professionally as could be expected. I was ready to see a kid get groped and be outraged, instead I saw a working class american performing a JOB. I dont like this crap anymore than the rest of you, but cut that lady a break.

Yea, I agree that this is bad, but you know what? This is just one child out of thousands who have been searched in this matter. Is the public upset? Well only those with access to a computer to view this video and who have prior experience with TSA. Unless this receives a lot more mainstream attention, nothing will come of this.

Not everyone can live in literally the least corrupt country in the world. (not sarcastic...look it up) I didn't choose where I was born and my roots are here so I can't leave.

I have read this post in it's entirety and I will comment so far as to say that this is an act of GROSS MISCONDUCT on the part of whoever sanctioned this despicable kind of screening on a 6 year old minor.

That was completely ridiculous, outrageous and totally unacceptable. DISGUSTING.

There is no excuse and no exception, due to the simple fact that there are technologies available to detect most types of drugs and explosives. This includes the use of highly skilled and trained dogs that are much more effective than any TSA agent but discrete and at a distance without needing in invade the physical privacy of a young child.
NO EXCUSES.

When you travel through the English Channel Tunnel Terminals (on the French as the English side) and are "suspected" of carrying anything illegal within your vehicle, or on your person, you are "politely asked" to drive through a cordoned off area and an officer will approach your vehicle and ask you to lower the window.
The agent then proceeds to wave a"magic wand" inside the vehicle, dust down the steering wheel, the door handles and outside of the vehicle and then waits approximately 30.60 seconds to see if the "magic wand" reacts.
No reaction, you continue your journey.

If the Wand signals positive for Explosives, or drugs you are further lead to a "CLOSED" section and put under more scrutiny, BUT... away from the public "VIEW" where they have more highly trained dogs and well trained agents including scanning devices etc...
Only then are you subjected to more high tech detection technologies and then if you really set off the alarms, again (and those dogs will scent out almost anything down to micro-gram in volume, of nearly every DANGEROUS substance -Explosive and most drugs, even the ash from a joint from last year you may have lost somewhere between the upholstery or under your car seat!)...
Only then, do they ask you to a "Private" room to remove clothing where necessary, but by that stage they "KNOW" you are hiding something on your person. Your vehicle will also be searched.
Result= Justified search.

What is happening in that video with the TSA agent, in plain sight, is an absolute breach of human rights and blatant invasion of the physical privacy of a minor.
"YOU DO NOT TREAT CHILDREN in THIS WAY!
(if there had been drugs or explosives a trained dog would have scented it) POINT

If anybody EVER touched MY DAUGHTER or WIFE in that manner I would probably as we say in a polite English manner " knock his or her F@;>,ng block off and taken the whole TSA team out too, and I don't mean to dinner - Point. Game over over.

There was absolutely no justification for that action and probably thousands of others alike.
I would never even think of traveling to the US by air, ever, especially not with my wife and daughter, even if I had a paid return flight for free. Fffcough..

And you know what, I have many American friends who have served in the US Air Force and Army who were stationed in Germany. Many are now out of active duty, and believe it or not, I do not know one single soldier or airman that has not returned as a civilian to live rather in Germany or elsewhere in Europe rather than in the US in order to escape this increasing "BIG BOTHER" virus infesting the US society.
And that says a lot given they served their country proudly!

It is an easy headline and a youtube clip without a full explanation as to what led to the search.

For all we know the mother of this child could have tried to board with a box-cutter in her pocket...and said something like, sorry I'm moving and forgot to take it out. Would it be OK to frisk the child with her then?

Kids are used to blow things up...horrible but true...and crazy people are sometimes white as well as other colors...also true.

Drug mules use thier kids to stash stuff all the time. Just google children and drug mules.

So if this mom is afraid of flying and decided to smoke a jay before getting on the plain and showed up at the TSA smelling like pot...would it be reasonable to pat-down her daughter as well?

What if the mom had a box cutter in her purse and was acting suspicious? Patting down her child still off-limits?

I shake my head in wonderment at those who post here defending the TSA.

My suggestion is this...We need to, in each community, identify these sleeze-bag TSA agents. They need to be shunned by all business interests in their community. I read recently of a snack shop in one airport that had placed a sign on their door saying they refused to serve TSA agents. They do these invasive embarasing searches and get off scott free. This should not be. Their neighbors need to be advised what these low lifes do for a living.

The only person I find more discusting that the TSA agent in this situation is the mother that allowed this to take place. She doesn't deserve to have a child, IMO.

I think that people like yourself who have absolutely no sensitivities within this topic and subject matter are probably 99% single and definitely do not have CHILDREN!!
When you are a father or a mother and you love your children you would show the same degree of anger as most other grown up and mature, normal and family orientated individuals would.

This is just above your horizon if you are single and have no responsibilities like your own flesh and blood to protect from the probing hands of a stranger at an airport terminal.

Even normal single people with a very small degree of moral sanity who are without children of their own or living family environment where children are around them can understand the inhumane procedure of invading the private physical sphere of a minor for no "APPARENT and JUSTIFIABLE REASON"
Anybody who just says "Why all all up in the air about nothing" are trivializing a serious infringement on a child, which is obviously the result of too much smoking to much whacky backy or you are an alien being with no conception of standard human morals and missing some vital elements of their Grey matter...

TSA agents are tasked with making sure when you or your family flies that your plane won't be blown up by a lunatic trying to detonate his underwear or shoe and that your family won't be used as doomed occupants of a missle and flown into the nearest skyscaper.....and for that you would treat them as pedophiles.....
