Forgive me if this has been brought up already but flying is neither a "privilege" nor a "right".
It is a contract between yourself and an air carrier company.
Therefore it is a violation of your rights to be searched unless by purchase of your ticket you have consented to whatever stipulations are included in the ticket.
I haven't flown in years and I certainly will not as long as we have to go through the same thing convicts do whenever being transported.
All of this because of an "Underwear bomber" who only succeeded in burning himself?
It's like calling in an airstrike because you have an ant problem.

Guess who has money to gain from the naked body scanners you guessed it! They made the frisking necessary to all passengers who refused naked body scanners. Its either let your daughter be scanned child pornography or let her be molested by some stranger you sick $&%*#. You people are messed in the head.
Also i never said i knew anything for absolute truth anyone can be wrong about anything. Where are you coming up with these assumptions ?

What exactly do you expect them to do? Three points:
1) Like it or not there are people who can and will use children and our sensitivities to them against us by hiding items on their bodies. There are a fair amount of people in the world who would do some very sick things to a child to accomplish the aims of the almighty god.
2) This is far from "groping", by definition.
3) If the issue is that it's the government doing it, fine, I tend to agree and I'm no government apologist. However, if we removed the government and required airport owners and airlines themselves to provide their own security (which would be fine with me) provided they took the burden should they miss anything, it would be whatever security company these companies would hire doing the exact same thing.
Would it be different if it was a private company?
Peace

Either there's too much security or when something happens there isn't enough. I agree that it is pretty much taboo for this. I work in this industry and we have been informed via internal memorandums that there was an incident in England where a mother had strapped an IED on her child, whether that's true or not or just created to condone additional screening, it's still terrible. It's really sad to see what this world is coming to..
However, I would like to add that this TSA agent went about her job very professionally and made every attempt to explain the procedure to the family and the girl as it continued, and no, it's not a drug test (like stated by the mother at 1:25). Anyways, that's just my 2 cents.edit on 10-4-2011 by kathael because:
I agree it's completely unnecessary and absurd and that our country is pretty screwed up, BUT.. All they are doing is conditioning him for when he grows up.

I have flown many times and encountered the evil TSA squad. I prevented getting groped by....walking through the metal detector
Am I missing something here? I have never once been searched, patted, groped, manhandled, or chastised by them. They don't even smile at me, let alone give me action! I have seen the lines for the metal detector walk-through and you can "opt out" of that, but by opting out, you're consenting to a search. So just...walk through. Seriously, am I missing something here?
