And a very relevant quote in yours, sir.

You're a very, very confused individual. The actions of western nations in their constant intervention in the middle east, their perpetual military attacks, bombing, killing, raping, pillaging, torturing, murdering, stealing... you give everyone else a pass. Interesting.

And when you call them these "people". What does that mean? What is your categorization, really?

You are just so confused.

You stated:

By that logic, the Chinese should be attacking the U.S. and the U.K. right now. And those are just to start. Those two countries are responsible - BY FAR - for the worst human rights atrocities and violations of the past 2 decades.

Wake up. You're sleeping.

Yet another reply that is off in left field that has no relevance whatsoever to the post you are replying to.
I'm done with you. You know why? Because I am better than you. Stew on that looney. Like I said in an earlier post: Make Yourself Better.

You can't go wrong with that advice, but I know it will fall on deaf ears that are busy hopping up and down attached to a head with a mouth chanting death to somebody.... Good luck with that.

Well I'm sorry to say this country is already invaded and the infiltration has been going on for a while now only by peaceful means.

I am truly tired of listening to some ignorant lazy people in this country always blaming the other guy. Maybe we need to look at ourselves and realize WE THE PEOPLE sit back and let all this happen because we are too busy playing video games, watching TV, or eating food.

Being in Iraq really is what opened my eyes 6 years ago, when you see the conditions that people live in and have been for years. I once gave a kid $10 and asked him to get me something to eat. A few minutes later he came back with his mom carrying a huge amount of food and man was it great, he truly appreciated that money for his family as it was a lot to them. We used to always get kids running up asking "Mr Mr, give me give me" but one time there was another kid just sitting there all shy. I walked up to him and offered him all kinds of things even an extra pair of sunglasses and all he wanted was a bottle of clean water.

Now I sit here at home and listen to my step-son all the time saying, "I hate my life". This is all because I won't buy him the new video game he wants or this kid has that and I don't. I try and explain to him how truly fortunate we are to live in USA having what we do. He will just sit there with this dead stare in his eye and I know his spoiled little behind is thinking I wish he would just shut up cuz I don't want to hear it.

He is what is really wrong with USA today, nobody cares about the other guy anymore, let alone someone else in another country that can't afford to buy anything for their family to eat. We are just too complacent and keep saying it's none of our business and that will never happen here.

I have news for you it is happening here and it's going to get very bad here real soon. Unless you can wake up your friends, neighbors, and towns then it's all lost already. Seriously sitting here talking about what's wrong accomplishes nothing. I have been talking to a lot of people about what I see and know is wrong and most look at me and laugh. When things do get worse at least I tried to tell people and well I know I'm prepared!

The guy doing this is here in FL.
From what I've seen/heard he has been burning them very often, They warned him to stop he did it again then this happened.

What I don't understand is why take it out on people who have nothing to do with him?
Psychological effect maybe? I don't know.

I think alot of them are already there, right? CNN did a tribute piece on a suicide bomber about a week ago, interviewing the family of the "hero". It's crazy, I don't know who's side who is on anymore...

Changing peoples attitudes starts from within... You see attitudes such as your steps sons that you don't like... instead of just wishing he would shut up, counsel him. Offer advice. It may see futile but the kid has ears and you do have an influence. Maybe its limited because of relationships but still try.
The world will not become the way we want by wishing it that way. You acts of kindness in Iraq are exactly what the world needs. Keep it up. That stuff is infectious believe it or not.
Its the only way we will get anywhere.... To lead by example.
Keep up the good fight..... ALWAYS.

Which ones do we hunt down? Tit for tat never solves anything, in fact it usually makes matters worse.Who attacked who's country first? If this illegal war on terrorism wasn't started by the Americans in the first place then there wouldn't be a problem at all now would there?

Again with the spurious claims of "illegal" war.

You are correct. Tit for tat doesn't solve anything. Therefore, I am officially revising my stance vis-a-vis Afghanistan with this post.

My new stance is "glaze the entire country, from border to border".

That does the following:

1) Eliminates this pesky tit for tat trading. It truly IS annoying, isn't it?

2) Virtually assures that the guilty parties are brought to justice. I really can't see any of them fleeing the country any time soon.

3) Insures that there will be no repeat performances in that area, or indeed anywhere else in Afghanistan.

It's a real shame, because I still have some good friends there. I'll miss them. Still, I'm at the end of the road allowing the lunatics to run the asylum, then trying to find some excuse for them, defending them against yet other lunatics.

Furthermore, any more occurences of this nature should be met with precisely the same response. Fundamentalists are generally a pretty dense bunch, but even they will eventually take the hint and lay off if enough convincing is done.

End communique.

nenothtu out.

Edit to add: an additional benefit of the policy outlined above:

4. We would of course pull our ground troops out of Afghanistan first, and bring them home. If we start right now, most could be home in time for the 4th of July celebrations.

I do try and council him and talk to him, it's just every time anyone talks to him he just locks up and won't even look at you. They say he ODD although I say it's them using it as an excuse. He never knew his father as he died when he was i believe 2 and that's a lot of his problem.

I do know he listens though even when I don't think he does. I talk to him about what is going on with this government we have here. He turns around and tries to argue with his teachers about it and comes home to tell me I am wrong.

I told him this country was not meant to be a Democracy instead it was setup as a Republic. So of course his teacher shut him up and said he was wrong.

Even though it is a form of indoctrination. This was my Reply!

"I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all"

This is how it was originally written by Francis Bellamy (Socialist)

i haven't found a link on it yet?

I guess if this is the reason all the Eye for an eye folks should just start burning Korans on youtube that should get things going over there.

edit on 4/1/2011 by -W1LL because: sarcasm!

How is burning a Qur'an an "eye for eye for an eye" response to killing PEOPLE?

If you think it'll help, I have 3 Qur'ans right here close to hand that I'd be happy to send back to allah via smoke signals if you really think that will help, and we can break even and get over it all... I mean, I won't be needing them any more or anything. I've seen about enough of the Religion of Peace.

Yup, another guy burned it. Soaked it in gasoline, then sent it back to the manufacturer via smoke signal.

Totally serious. CNN has since removed the story from their site, probably because they received backlash I'm sure. I found this blog about it, this guy feels the same way I did when I watched it...

blogs.howstuffworks.com...

They were talking about how he got ready that day, parked the vehicle in front of his target, read some versus from the koran, then blew himself up. Now, we've seen those types of stories of course, but the bomber is always the bad guy in them...this one was done with a tribute vibe, I was sitting there completely taken aback. Like, WTF?

It's simple. We will round up every single muslim, and while having milk and cookies when interrogating him (making it quite clear that there will be no more cookies until we get more info.) we will ask him if he believes in Allah? If you see a bead of sweat or an eye twitch.....you know you have a radical. We will then escort thhe said radical into an awaiting door where he will never terrorize again and will never bee seen again. Oh, ummmm, he will be in a better place and that's why he's never seen again.
The beauty is that we can do this to all races until the world is free and happy. See, i'm all for equality.....women, that means you too.

ok. so they premeditated killing civilians instead of this just being a fit of rage. that makes it WORSE.

Again, you miss the point. There were SOLDIERS doing the killing while the locals got all fired up about the koran burning (which they learned about through karzai). Soldiers who care little for islam, and who would only cloak themselves in that as a facade to keep people from asking WHO WERE THEY? Mossad? CIA? "Al Queda"? This was a UN center. The motivation from ALL of these groups are obvious. So blaming 'muslims' is a distraction that you are either falling for, or intentionally perpetuating.

This was an INTENTIONAL mission from a handful of soldiers perpetuating a military agenda hiding behind the auspices of 'angry mulims'. Just like they all fall for it when their leaders tell them america i bombing the 'al queda' because they hate islam. This perpetuation of the idea that we are in a battle against islam, a battle between islam and christianity is bullsnip. How anyone can perpetuate that crap on a sight devoted to looking into what is underneath the surface i beyond me.

Your following two paragraphs quoted below for further evidence of the distraction of emotional hatred of 'islam' when this is really about military movements that only use religion as a cover.

out of the 1.5 billion I didn't hear any of them condemning this atrocity. not a one. so read your own post again, if you were trying to make a point it backfired.

i think there is a good justification for being scared of a religion who states that either you convert or you are beheaded.

Your obvious hatred of anything 'muslim' really has little to do with the actual facts of the case. You are responding to the spin from the same media you decry.

It's just as silly coming from you as it is coming from local afghan warlords telling the peasants that America is here to force them to embrace Christianity. Jut glossing over the real issue.
