Now that many media outlets (including mid east outlets) are covering the UN attack and continued protests with the reasoning that it is due to the Koran burning how many more of these riots are going to start? How long until there is an attack in the US again, genuine or false flag, but uses the burning as justification?

I have no idea if they are actually rioting and killing because of the video, I've already expressed my doubts about that.

However, I just saw the story on al Jazeera with the reasoning being the book burning, so if it wasn't true before I'm sure it's about to pick up steam.

I don't think the preacher lied and faked coverage of his event, I'm just not so sure that his little website or even the youtube video made its way to Afghanistan to actually start the rioting. My guess is that they are pissed that the US and UN is in their country.

If the rioting had anything to do with the burning it makes no sense that they would kill non Americans in the UN building, or fellow Afghans. I am not saying that attacking US targets due the burning would be justified either, in Islam it is forbidden to kill innocents (and no one there is responsible for the burning).

I am not going to say the situation is pure propaganda though, I have no proof one way or the other......just questions

This will be looked upon, I'm sure, as "Islamists Jihadists with AlQueda ties with a religous motive".

As someone else mentioned, it's being blamed on the preacher who burned the Koran...

This is a case where religious extremism was avenged by religious extremism. Both sides are moronic and uncivilized in their actions.

No respect for the Preacher (who needs a good whipping!) and no respect for these animals who slaughtered the UN workers.

Bold mine, it is being blamed on that. Perhaps to keep the other better reasons they might be royally pissed quiet?

But would anyone be surprised that they were fed up with war and foreign occupation? I seriously doubt that.

Any other idea what they could be pissed about (that the story hasn't already broke ie random killings and such)?

The UN should be dismantled, it is the criminal organization that ties the world dominance issue together. It is the Elitist think tank and government of the world if we and they let it be. Good to see someone actually going after the TRUE GUILTY PARTY!!!!

There are plenty of reasons to be an angry afgan. Could be their family was blown up at a funeral by a drone, meant to take out one bad guy. Could be they were family of those people in small farmer communities that were murdered for fun. I can think of a whole lot of better reasons for people to be angry enough to kill, other than burning some paper. They just used the anger of the crowd to their advantage, it makes sense no? Hell for all we know the people beheading people were mercs, hired by CIA, MOSSAD to use this as a rally point to up the war....

On a side note, do we have any reason to believe this was a protest against the bible thumper, other than that is what the MSM has been feeding us? Perhaps they were actually protesting the death squads, and not the "preacher"?

Yeah, it's a lot easier to ignore all the innocent people that die in war by dehumanizing them isn't it?

Because the UN is the criminal element that has invaded their country. If the UN decided to pull some crap like that on US soil, UN goons would probably be slaughtered here too.

Yeah, that sounds about right...evertime a bunch of Americans get pissed off about something people always die and get their heads cut off. I saw it the other day at the mall over a parking spot.

Get a grip. A third world country is classified that for a reason besides their prosperity.

Not to mention the millions which have been forced to move out to stay alive... But I guess in YOUR fairy tale world the Arab Muslims "are fighting for their country" as well...

When is the last time a foreign country invaded the US? Hell, a certain state in the US got flack because they thought it was a great idea to see if people pulled over were even legal.... That invasion is not like what we are doing in the middle east though, now is it? If another country, invaded us with the UN's blessing, do you think we would just roll over and play dead? I don't, I hope that wouldn't happen.

No it's not ok. But they are also killing other Muslims and other Afghans, why would they do that if this was over the burning?

What?! Where did you get that from my post? The other poster said he/she wanted to see the video, and I presented it. Of course it's not okay for muslim, or any other extremists to murder people for any reason. Organized religion is a cancer that is causing great harm to our species, IMO.

Before I begin, let me make this statement. I do not want to be bashed, reprimanded, or corrected. If you feel that need please, do my job as a journalist; protect your own “human” constitutional rights instead of allowing others like us to protect you and allow you to have that freedom because we walk that line every day. Personally, I am eternally grateful I have been given this gift of helping others and speaking up to protect peoples God given rights as a human being. I only say this because I know what I am going to say is going to anger a great deal of people, however, for those who get angry, before you respond, think about what you are going to say and how it applies to you. Remember when we point one finger three are pointed back at us.
I do not defend either side however each side has a right to be heard and have their own beliefs and reasons for the manor of which they do things. Since 2004 I have been covering the GitMo situation and of course ground zero as it is so lovingly called. Uncovering things as they come forth due to court cases and the people involved here such as CCR, the ACLU, Drs who are working with people on both sides of the fence of this current nightmare that we are living in if we are somewhat removed. I have spoken with brothers, wives, parents of all involved and to some extent the people who have been there who are not so traumatized they are willing to share their story. I am fortunate, I have seen many scopes of the spectrum and I am thankful for this incite so I may be a little more understanding as to the situation we are in.
I am often asked my opinion on this very subject because GitMo and this book burning go hand in hand. I hold my opinions to myself, sure I have them, but when I am writing it is not what I am feeling but the facts that remain to be seen and have been reviled. Of course I do have an opinion, I do feel. I also know more of the facts than the average bear in this situation due to what I am invited to cover and report upon. I have attended protest of both sides to cover them. I have interviewed the people involved on a base level and have facts and items we have no access to as civilians.
First off, the Americans that are protesting were people who had no idea what our Constitution was, what rights were given to us by our forefathers, even to the point that at one protest a woman asked if the police that were present had to be paid to protect them. As if they were in any danger of anything. Remember I was there and yes, I walked the protest; every last one of them that I was asked to cover. At one on Wall Street last year, the protesters from America, who were American Citizens mind you, had to be pinned up like cattle because they were too much for the police to handle because the protesters were the ones causing issues, not the bystanders watching in awe of the immature behavior presented.
I have also covered protest with Muslims and supporters of Freedom of Speech and Religion, which last time I checked that is the one Amendment that actually allows me to do my job and be a Natural Wiccan at the same time. Those, in all honesty, have been the most peaceful and organized protest that I have attended. It did not matter to them that I was a freelance journalist or that the Post or Times is not paying for my credibility, however let’s go back to the “Americans” who I am protecting and trying to tell their story. Because I was not with the Post or Times, they had issues because apparently I was no one to them. Which is very funny because I have a few readers who would most certainly disagree and when I wrote “Guantanamo Bay and the Silent Protest” held by Muslims and other like minds, it beat out McCain in a presidential election year of being on Google’s top of the search list for GitMo that day. No it is not a braggart moment it is a point of fact that should be noticed. If it were another journalist who did that I would name them.
The largest thing I saw between the two types of protest was that one wanted peace but were willing and prepared to fight for it for not only themselves but the future of their world. The other was chaos, lies, propaganda, and bitterness.
I feel so very sorry for those who cannot get it that even when you want peace, it may not be obtainable without war no matter how hard you try. This man in Florida is just as bad as the ones he preaches about. He was warned last year about this, not to do this. I was in the center of the situation because of my location and the Mosque that is located by “ground zero” which in itself is another story. As I look back in history, I seem to remember most of the time, when you are burning something so sacred to one creates a chaos that is not needed and worse it is done on purpose to create that chaos so that the person who did it can gain the notoriety and acceptance of others when in all reality, they should be ignored and reprimanded for placing others who are innocent in danger or the retaliation of the people whom they are trying to hurt. I also seem to remember Christians being treated the same way and if that were done today, especially burning of the bible, there would be a public outcry and retaliation back to say we will not take this any longer. I also seem to remember that book burnings are the first way for a Government to remove records of what has really happened in History.
If you have an issue with the fact we have a 1st Amendment to give us rights, try another country and see what happens. There is no greater sin against man than being uneducated and speaking words of disinfo to create a war, just remember if you start it intentionally with out thinking of the consequences, it is the blood of the people you killed, either directly or indirectly, are on your hands when judgment comes.
If this man was really a “Christian” as he claims, he would not have burned a book but taught love and acceptance as it is spoken about in the book that he holds fast to that has been changed for man to understand since the educational systems of the world have decreased and deteriorated because of our ignorance as a world in a whole.
Again, if you really feel the need to bash me and have an issue with my words, I don’t really care, not my issue, however I will not tolerate ignorance when the whole story is not known. No One deserves that.
Ignorance is not bliss, it just is the status quo now.
Since I can’t respond to-- www.abovetopsecret.com... however this thread is along the same line.

I will gladly lay my life on the line so you have your freedoms, however the other side that we may or may not agree with deserve the same activities.

Ainge

Funny what gets passed off as 'evidence' around these parts.

There is as much 'evidence' they are battle-weary fighters from Iraq as there is they are 'freedom fighters'. Just one guy saying one thing, and another guy saying something else.

I don't understand why people are finding it so hard to believe that a bunch of deeply indoctrinated people reacted this way to the burning of the book that they've been raised to believe is sacred. Remember the Danish cartoonist that was killed over a comic? If this had to do with the occupation and really had nothing to do with the book burning, it would be easy to prove that claim false. But the rioters made their reasoning clear, and for those questioning how this news made it to Afghanistan so quickly, it actually spread from Pakistan who has a much more technologically advanced population with an intel agency that has been known to stoke the flames of religious conflict. Here's an article from March 22nd, a few days before the rioting in Afghanistan...

www.dawn.com...

I'm sure elements in Pakistan made sure this news made it's way to Afghanistan in order to cause exactly what happened.

This was a military action using a handful of locals as cover for an attack on the UN, as has been said numerous times in this thread. Hell, riling up the locals to create a cover for nefarious political goals is a cia tactic, to be honest. How do we know this wasn't CIA covert ops trying to make people more sympathetic for the current UN-backed mission in Libya?

Sheesh--you people don't think very deep when you have the opportunity to generalize Muslims and display your unadulterated hatred of the entire culture.
