Why do you think they released the 2nd mugshot ? What has it achieved , who has it benefited ?

It could be slightly tampered with, but i dont see the tell tale signs.

The second mug shot is in prisoner clothing, as opposed to the white tee he was in in the first shot. I posted the link to the UN-CROPPED version of the OP's "original shot".

the reasoning behind it is, i dont believe that they would keep a image of him in civilian clothing for his permanent record. And IF this is not the reason, maybe someone along the line stated that he deserves a fair trial and that the jury needs to see a less sadistic image. My guess is the former reason as this was done for my cousin who went to jail.

Wow...this site loses creditability each and every day. Just when I thought it couldnt get any worse...this thread is made. C'mon people...think before we start a new thread and ask yourself if it makes sense. Sure there are a lot that really don't but this one is just plain lack of common sense.

By the way the difference in photos is because of the quality of either the camera or image.

Holy crap...really.... It's the same guy!!! Just two different pictures. He is wearing a jump suit in one!!! one is prob. booking that day of the shooting and then the next day after he got his shower or what ever they do after they do holdings! Does everything have to be a cover up!! WTF I feel sorry for some of you! Maybe look into police SOP's on booking and arresting someone. You might find some answers as to why he is in a different outfit and looks cleaned up!

Which ever way you look at it..

Weather they are the same guy or different people.

I only have two things to say.

1) They are both butt ugly

I hope you realise all im doing is questioning this event . Im not claming to know the truth but I still believe the guy is innocent til proven guilty - However Im sceptical that they will release the "evidence " they use to convict him and if they dont il be even more suspicious .

There are some members who believe the government is monitoring this website and thinks that the government "thinks ATS may be a threat."

However, if I was a federal agent and saw the front page lately, I'd chuckle and close out of the browser. No threat here. Just boredem.

I do, and ive stated that this has no effect on whether he is guilty or not. Im just stating my view on the questions posted that I have experience with, and thats photo analysis. I highly doubt the real evidence will be released. I am suspicious as well. Innocent till proven guilty is necessary, but to say that someone is indeed arrested by the evidence of 2 photos does not ever equate to guilty. Look at all the people that were "guilty" for 30 years and DNA testing shows their not now.

Echoing my comments on an earlier post today, this thread is yet another that goes to show many folks on ATS will find whatever they are looking for, whether or not it's really there.

I dont have an explanation for this other than, If no one had their cameras out and were already rolling before the event, i highly doubt that "oh hey, someone is rapid firing a gun into this crowd, let me get my phone out and record it instead of trying to save my butt and/or keep from getting shot and dying!!"

If you have never been in a live fire scenario, i can see how you would think the first thing you would want to do is get out your phone. 32 rounds in that small amount of time in a crowd that size is Chaos at the least, and pandemonium at best. But i can guarantee you, you would be A. running/ducking for cover and B. forgot you even had a phone much less want to fire up its camera.

Is this argument still alive? This is clearly JLL in both pictures. The lighting is different and he has a different expression, but its the same person. Comparison A looks like it was shot under a diffused Fluorescent bulb where as Comparison B looks as if it was shot with a direct, high wattage, Incandescent light with a low ambient lighting.
As for the artist rendition: JLL may have grown some stubble on his head whilst being incarcerated. But most likely it is a bad artist. I remember when the OJ trial was news... and all of those artist renditions made me cringe. Sure, maybe the renditions resembled the original character, but there was certainly a large margin of interpretation.

IMO if you think there is something to the conspiracy angle to this story there are far more eligible trees to bark up than the picture angle. Since this is all conjecture anyway what about a common sense asusmption: If TPTB have managed this very elaborate manipulation of facts, people, and media they are not going to slip up and put out two pictures of different guys.

Now, if I let my imagination run.............perhaps the two different pictures are the same guy with intended discrepencies woven into the pics to serve as a distraction from the real (and perhaps more provable) elements of the story???
