Certainly they'd investigate.

But an investigation is not a verdict of "guilty" in response to criminal charges in a trial.

The bill of rights were created as a foundation for which this country is built upon and allowed to be manipulated as we the people see fit, the intention of that was to allow us the people to pick and choose when we wish such things to apply, not blanket protection for scum bags such as the author of said book.That's why we have a court system in place.

What does that have to do with my post? Anyone that defends "this", meaning writing a book about child touching? or the man going to jail for life for it? Those are two very different things.

They should get warrants on everything the man owns, tap his phones, watch what he's doing.. and then arrest him for what he's actually guilty for. And that's not writing a book.

Florida law [6]. The court stated that, "The essential element of the defense of entrapment is the absence of a predisposition of the defendant to commit the offense. The entrapment defense prohibits law enforcement officers from instigating a criminal act by persons otherwise innocent in order to lure them to its commission and to punish them. So there we have it.. This pedo had his book up for sale.. Offering shipping to Florida as well as all of the other US states..

Your initial "bad example" pretty much tells it's own story. You don't really know what entrapment means.

Your second example isn't even a crime...LMAO. Drug dealers giving someone money isn't a crime. Again, you obviously don't really know what entrapment means proofed by your second "bad example".

Undercover cop prostitutes don't get busts unless they can prove that the customer is a repeat customer. If the "suspect" doesn't have a prior record, then it's entrapment because the "suspect" has never done it before. The officer encouraged the crime.

Chris Hanson gets away with his tactics because his team doesn't encourage people to commit a crime. They only act like kids, and then let the "suspects" approach them online. That is not encouragement. If his people did stuff like say "I'm a kid come and have sex with me", that would be encouragement. His people only say stuff like "I'm a kid, I just wanna chat", then they let the suspects talk them into meeting.

This BTW, is a third bad example from you.

I don't even know what point you are trying to make with everything you said after Hanson. To be frank, it's not well written and needs to be restated. You seem to be protecting the police and condemning them in virtually the same sentence.

It can be argued for entrapment, because the police knew that the book might be seen to violate some obscure obscenity statute, while a normal person not from the state would not know. I would not have known a retarded statute like that existed without reading about it here. It is up to the consumer to know and follow the local statutes like that, not the seller.

And I will answer the last question briefly, since it is a bit off topic. Biggest issue the last generation is responsible for, is allowing the government to declare war on drugs.

That is why Florida did it.. They have a specific law prohibiting the distribution of obscene material. He is not in jail for writing it.. He was set up by the one state where this is illegal, from what I have read about this.

Shouldnt the sheriff be charged for recieving obscene materials using TAXPAYER money for buying it?

Are you describing yourself? Because the children that this book is written for are ALREADY IN THESE RELATIONSHIPS and this book HELPS THEM KEEP IT APPROPRIATE AND LEGAL IF NOT GET OUT OF IT.
