I don't remember this guy getting arrested. Murder trumps child touching.





Does anyone here think that this book will cause people to start touching kids? Personally, I don't.

They should keep it up for sale, and keep a record of the people buying it. Compile all of those people into a database, and presto.

Genetic or environmental conditioning ..is irrellevant...we cannot and must not allow these people any where near our children.....we cannot allow for mistakes when the future of our children is at stake!!...

And I am sick of ignorant mouth pieces, thinking they know what is right and wrong, based on a very old set of rules.. Are you too "slow" to adjust to the times? Are you such a self absorbed human, you can't see, it isn't my children's decisions that I am worried about.. A grown man can erase all of that teaching with one bad decision.

It is obvious you do not have children.. And for that I am thankful... God knows we don't need anymore children raised by self absorbed blind followers! Hopefully, if you beat the odds and find a suitor.. he will care more about your kids than you are capable of. But, I have a feeling, once you have your own... Your thoughts will change.. I'm sorry, but I do educate my children and do have talks with them about the evils of this world. I do not shelter them and they do know right from wrong. I'm a firm believer in tough love and they are punished for inapropriate behavior. But when it comes to scum bags like that guy their rights should be thrown out the window. I can't beleive people are standing up for this creep. Is it because they are pedophiles themselves? We don't know and will never know. I hope not.

So people who defend freedom of speech are paedophiles? There are many subjects that i would defend that i may not like or agree with, but my personal feelings on the material itself are irrelevant as are yours. Freedom of speech is exactly that...not freedom of speech as long as i agree with what you are saying/writing. There is no victim here or crime being committed.

I see. So, non-specific threats that target huge swathes of the population are fine, but specific threats are not? I'm afraid this kind of juggling is beyond me. There's no sense comparing this book to fiction. It's a non-fiction book. When a work comes under trial for obscenity, it must prove some societal/artistic worth. There is none of that here. It is a how-to book for pedofiles. It's not Nabokov.

I hear this one a lot. But, it misses the point entirely. The author makes the claim himself, that the book is intended to show pedofiles how to a) not get caught, and b) get pleasure and c) receive a lighter sentence for their crimes. That's his own stated purpose for this work. It has nothing to do with converting people. It has everything to do with empowering existing pedofiles and propell those who may have never acted on their instincts out of fear, to act now because they can get away with it.

Oh the old fire in the theater argument.

Don't you understand that the law that was broken was not him screaming "fire", but it was the immediate reaction of the audience that caused the infraction.
What if everyone just ignored the guy?

His words caused no social grievances.

They were merely words.

Now if he can be prosecuted for what he supposedly said that he supposedly did in this book to other children, then fine. Collect VICTIMS.

Just as in the case of screaming "Fire".
Victims were present and directly effected.
That is not a case of freedom of speech.

I agree with your idea of going after what he has actually done and leave the book out of it, because he will more than likely get off on the charge.

Dude, let me tell you. There's some screwed up things that happen in society, and in the U.S. And a lot of things I dont agree with. But that is the cost of liberty and freedom, which is why we fought the Revolutionary War.

Here is a little bit of advice... Stop using kids as scapegoats to shove you agendas down other people's throats. If you really cared about your kids, you would be thinking about their future, and how much it is going to suck for them when they enter into the orwellian world you helped create for them. If they have any brains, they will hate you for helping create a less free world for them to live in. Of course with a parent like you, chances are they will be good little sheep that fall in line and do what they are told by authority.

Defenders are the first amendment and freedom. Thats who you would deem as "suspect"?

As for reading between my lines.....Not sure if you are hitting on me or not, but I'm married, so uh no thanks.

It's a shame to see a lesser evil used and sacrificed so the luke warm masses can hand over power to the greater evils.
I don't agree with the pedophile being prosecuted for exercising a right. Set up a sting operation at least rely on entrapment rather than trampling on all of our freedoms.

We can't threaten people, we can't harrass them with written letters or emails, we can't slander or lible them. No one is crying over those laws. So, why, are you defending what is obviously obscene illegal material? No, he's not allowed to write this revolting treatise, any more than I am able to write threatening letters or emails.

youve clearly stated your understanding to the legalities of these crimes

if i write a letter directed at you, and commit any of these crimes, you become a victim.

writing a book is not a crime and there is no victim.

the two are completely different.
