Of course he believes it, it supports his wild theory.
WHY WOULD CHINA FIRE A MISSILE AT IT'S LARGEST TRADING PARTNER?
Would any of you care to take a stab at that?

gosh I wish folks would read the thread before they comment.
I never stated once that the Chinese fired a missile AT us.
I said i thought they fired it out to sea across the Pacific

Money is power. Man's dumb idea is where all his power comes from. China doesn't need to fire missiles to hurt the U.S. and if you knew anything about power you would understand that.

You just don't get it....China may be playing nice and bailing us out time and time again but they know we are nothing now but slaves at their feet. And who said they want to hurt us? They want us to fear they will hurt us. Like a good slave.

I see the thread in which this was discussed and whether it is a UPS flight or flight 808. Either way there is no evidence outside of the video that it was a missile. And that evidence does not clearly show it to be a missile. Hence this debate. There is evidence however of jets in that area at that time which could easily leave the trail seen. There is no reason to conclude it was a missile.

Well heres the truth..
We listened to 3 days of all the experst telling us Flight808 was flying in ideal conditions to produce that enormous contrail..
Now its been shown not to be flight 808..
So now we have listened to the same experts tell us that flight 902 was also flying in ideal conditions to produce that enormous contrail..

SO, the BIG question is not which plane it was but why was there only ONE ENORMOUS CONTRAIL..
There realistically, according to all the so called experts should have been TWO....

Debunk that with a straight face

edit on 15-11-2010 by backinblack because: (no reason given)

Playing devil's advoctate here. If this was a missile and if there were two planes making contrails, then there should be two contrails: one from the passenger flight and one from the UPS flight, and one missile plume. Where does this line of thought take us?

In other words, if this was a missile, where are the two jet contrails that should have been in the sky?

Missile's don't typically travel several km's a second. they travel at between mach 3-5.

There are planes in the US military that can outrun most missiles.

you posted the quote and then said you believed thats where it came from!

Trying to find out if it is a missile and where it came from. Hard to do from a small clip of video that doesnt give us any real answers.

B.t.w., Have you noticed i have never stated what i believe this is? It is because there isn't enough to go on at this point. To much speculation and we all no where that leads. I am trying to show you alternatives. Playing devils advocate. We must look at all possibility's.

So to sum it up, to many conflicting things to read on this. Cant believe any of it. We are all just guessing at this point.

Yea i did read it, and if you think the U.S.. government would make such a distinction you are out of your mind. I think a few of you should stick to playing call of duty and leave geo-politics to people with better sense. (and that sure as hell isn't me)

Again, China does not need to launch missiles to do that. Either way, why would you lob a missile haphazardly into the ocean and think that scares someone?

I really don't think this is real.

It might have been a missile, but ANY sub launched missile goes through course correction once the first boosters bring it through and above the water, then the main battery ignites and the course it set/corrected.

There is ZERO evidence in my opinion that there was a second "missile" and I'm still not convinced the first one is a missile either.

This is straight disinfo.

An asylum???
But no, if it were a missile and the planes didn't produce contrails then there would be no contrails..
Missiles do not produce contrails...Con being short for condensation...

claimed there were explosions in the basement.
That has yet to be vetted as well.

My little brother eats a PB&J sandwich everyday. Monday, I ate it while he wasn't looking. Several days later he found that his daily sandwich been eaten again while he wasn't looking. Must've been me both times, right?

Of course it could have been you that ate it but I'll bet money that Chinese ground forces infiltrated your abode and confiscated said PB&J sandwhich. This was after determining that the specific resources and the guidance system, used to make the snack, were in fact a threat to the Chinese National Security.

You ever heard os "Air Traffic Controllers"? These are people who control what is on radar. It was on a radar, trust me.

What kind of attention could the Pentagon or Media possibly want this kind of publicity stunt for? The report wasn't exclusive, and lets say it was an actual plane, don't you think it would discredit the news that reported on it since the Pentagon is calling it a plane? Not to mention the Pentagon first say they didn't know, so how does that make them look? No too good, it means they aren't doing their job/ This is no publicity stunt sir.

Yes, and air traffic control saw nothing but routine traffic. That's why this "missile" is a mystery. Los Angeles is a very competitive media market. The more viewers a local news program can get, the more they can charge for advertising. The more hits their web page gets, the more weight they get in Google searches, and, again, the more they can charge for advertising. The Pentagon said they didn't know because they didn't know. Period, They don't care about routine air traffic. The station made a mistake they can't wiggle out of now. On the one hand, because their tape is exclusive the KCBS brand is everywhere. Unfortunately, when the truth comes out, that it was an intentional hoax, their credibility will be destroyed.

While you might not have an idea and be guessing...hmm, hmm, excuse me?

The reason for this type of forum is to discuss possibilities and read the "THEORY" at hand. It's not a statement of fact, it's an educated based reasoning with some circumstantial factual evidence.

If it was a plane the other aircraft in the video would be creating instant contrails too.

But their not.

So it's not a plane.

excuse me but i have joined in and just because i dont agree is no reason for me to tune out! I have shown alternatives and thats what this forum is for. open discussion and debate is it not? I dont agree with the o.p in the fact that he thinks it is a missile from china and that we tried to intercept it and failed.

It is well known the China wants to defeat the USA. China, has for decades stated that the USA is an enemy of China.
Here are just a few examples.

The Chinese effectively suspended official military relations early this year after President Obama met with the Dalai Lama, the Tibetan religious leader, and approved a $6.7 billion arms sale to Taiwan, which China regards as its territory.
randysright.wordpress.com...

The Wen Ho Lee case was but one of many. A bipartisan congressional committee in the 105th Congress concluded the PRC had stolen classified information on thermonuclear warheads — including every such warhead in the U.S. ballistic missile arsenal; classified information on the neutron bomb; and information that enabled the PRC to develop the next generation of thermonuclear weapons.
www.renewamerica.com...

“This time China must punish the US,” said Major-General Yang Yi, a naval officer. “We mustmake them hurt.” A major-general in the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), Luo Yuan, told a television audience that more missiles would be deployed against Taiwan. And a PLA strategist,Colonel Meng Xianging, said China would qualitatively upgrade its military over the next 10 years to force a showdown “when we’re strong enough for a hand-to-hand fight with the US.”
One is the repeated, belligerent behavior of China last year toward the USNS Impeccable in the South China Sea in international waters. The student of history will remember that it wasn’t too many years ago that a Chinese fighter rammed one of our reconnaissance aircraft, causing it to make an emergency landing in China…where the crew was held for nearly two weeks before being released; our aircraft was chopped up into piece before being sent back to us.

Boondock-Saint is on to something here.

I don't know if there was a Chinese missile fired or not. I wasn't there. But, I don't believe it was a jet. And the late ambiguous answer from our gobermt is suspect at the very least.

A Chinese "Ballistic" Missile fired of the coast of the greatest military power in the world.

To fire such a missile you would have needed a sub, one that miraculously penetrated American waters, evaded Sonar sweeps and American Naval forces.

The mainstay of China's submarine force is the Xia 092, correct me if I'm wrong but this sub is SEVERELY limited in it's capacity to launch long range ballistic missiles.

China infact do not field a ballistic missile which can effectively out-manoeuvre American counters.

I think you are grasping at straws here.

international waters.
