If it was a plane the other aircraft in the video would be creating instant contrails too.

But their not.

So it's not a plane.

It's amazing how thin Occam's Razor can be sliced huh? Just amazing!

This is very reminiscent of the 1942 incident when Los Angles Army spent a lot of effort shooting down Venus too!!
This planet has become a non-ending episode of the Three Stooges (on crack)!

To fire such a missile you would have needed a sub, one that miraculously penetrated American waters, evaded Sonar sweeps and American Naval forces.
The mainstay of China's submarine force is the Xia 092, correct me if I'm wrong but this sub is SEVERELY limited in it's capacity to launch long range ballistic missiles.
China infact do not field a ballistic missile which can effectively out-manoeuvre American counters.
I think you are grasping at straws here.

They have the new Jin class, 094.
en.wikipedia.org...
This is equipped with the new type of propeller that (Clinton allowed) Westinghouse technology provided.
It also houses the JL-1 and JL-2 (this one is possibly the culprit that left the exhaust plume) thermonuclear missiles.

Did you read that article? It came from the ireport of the CNN site which means I could have been the originator of that story and you wouldn't even know.
key phrase - "has yet to be vetted" - again speculation.

and Willie, the janitor in the twin towers
claimed there were explosions in the basement.
That has yet to be vetted as well.

Please, where is the evidence in that iReport? I can post an iReport too. Someone just claims it was a chinese sub with no evidence to back that claim and you post the examiner article like its proof?

On a side note - Willie was an eye witness. His testimony rest mostly on his character and I am likely to believe him. He is not anonymous.

Did the iReport claim to be an eyewitness to the chinese submarine?

Is he talking about the small planes which are clearly visible?
They are not flying at 39,000 feet. Contrails do not form at low altitudes.

Occams razor applies when all things are equal.

The principle of Occam's Razor recommends selecting the competing hypothesis that makes the fewest new assumptions (aka postulates, entities). It is also important that the two hypotheses be equal in other respects; for instance, they must both sufficiently explain available data in the first place. It is in this sense that Occam's razor is usually understood.[

The missile theory has far less evidence than the jet theory.

As I have said before, China has been itching for a battle with the USA for many years, ie.,
“This time China must punish the US,” said Major-General Yang Yi, a naval officer. “We mustmake them hurt.” A major-general in the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), Luo Yuan, told a television audience that more missiles would be deployed against Taiwan. And a PLA strategist,Colonel Meng Xianging, said China would qualitatively upgrade its military over the next 10 years to force a showdown “when we’re strong enough for a hand-to-hand fight with the US.”
One is the repeated, belligerent behavior of China last year toward the USNS Impeccable in the South China Sea in international waters. The student of history will remember that it wasn’t too many years ago that a Chinese fighter rammed one of our reconnaissance aircraft, causing it to make an emergency landing in China…where the crew was held for nearly two weeks before being released; our aircraft was chopped up into piece before being sent back to us.

dude, it was asked for proof
where it came from.
I provided the link where it
came from.

I used it in my theory.

Lay off brother !!! It's only a theory,
and speculation can be included
in a theory. Geez

Ok as long as we are clear that the examiner article has no more weight on the matter than your own thread and that this is all conjecture and speculation.

Nothing wrong with speculation as long as it is realized as such.

This is straight disinfo.

Not everyone with a false theory is a disinfo agent.

IE: When I was 13 I was abducted by men from saturn (not the moons, they swim around in the ultra dense gas).

They took me around the galaxy stopping off at pluto and even nibiru, and then took me to SagA, told me the key to enlightenment, and that I should bring the message home.

When I got home me and my friends decided that the only way we could truely bring enlightenment to people was to form a nation-state that was more willing to accept and enforce the idea of freedom.

That was more than 200 years ago, and our grand plan has nearly come to fruition.

*cough*

Yes...a very slow missile...of course it was

the guy filmed it for 10+ minutes...please take a moment to explain how a missile going at 18 thousand miles per hour was moving soo slow at the same time...did it happen to go into some sort of time vortex?

the most simple answer is its a contrail...why? it looks like a contrail, it acts like a contrail, and its slow like an airplane.

As a person whom lives right down the street from nasa, I have seen many a rockets and such going up...they move pretty bloody fast...there is no mistaking or splitting hairs between the two...

-sighs-

nevermind...go on believing every contrail is a missile...I guess its the new thing because of the chem trail nonsense becoming unbelievably silly.

One could argue the cold war...which simply goes to show armed conflict is actually not our strong suit...we are better chess players than gunslingers if we want to actually win anything.

So, the question is, why do we keep upgrading our guns when they are overall useless in winning anything. I say slash military down to 20% of what we are using now (go back to Reagen era spending) and spend money on intelligence and economy

well I agree with a couple points you make there.
yes slash the military budget, but I would include
disbanding the CIA in that cutback.

Let us not forget that we are also backing India and they just revealed in 09' the AGNI 5 missile that will be ready in 2010 (now) and that the AGNI will be able to hit key designated areas deep within Chinese territory. That and with the arms we might be selling to some of China's so called resisting nations!

think we can easily say that a second missile would've cause a cloud of black smoke when it exploded.

Not the case -> no 2nd missile.

*Doesnt mean I arent' open to the missile theory but this I dont buy

I've noticed a lot of posters are asking why test there? and what was being tested.

I would like to remind older posters of the cold war, the probing R&D that went on everyday.

And sometimes a complete system test.

I shall endeavor to build a plausible scenario and i will begin with what was being tested.

1. Satellite recon and communications system.- necessary to detect and track a launch and relay command guidance in real time, who's missile's do they want to detect? the USA, since the USA doesn't oblige with a launch when you might want them to, they have had to simulate one with there own missile.

2. The missile itself, a new generation missile, two-stage possibly hardened for survivability from interdiction.
Payload in this instance would be instrumentation to measure loads and possibly a radar unit for interdiction detection/avoidance.

3. The Submarine, a new class, simple test of penetration into US waters, missile launch system and evasion.
This is the political hot potato because all nations with SLBM's these days would seek to launch them as close to the target nation as possible to guarantee a strike.

4. The detection systems and Intel network of the US, the Chinese are well aware of US detection abilities so they new it would be tracked, what they didn't know is how far the US has penetrated Chinese intel to know that it was a test missile and not a surprise attack.

5.The political payoff from a successful launch.I would contend that this is the part being discussed at the highest levels as we speak.

The Chinese have successfully tested their system and confirmed their suspicions about US penetration of Chinese state secrecy.

The US has successfully detected and struck an SLBM at close quarters in its boost phase but has revealed it's foreknowledge in the process.

I would say we have a draw 1-1.

That's all i can add to the thread at the moment.

Cosmic...

The expert they interview in the video at about 2/3rds of the way down the page, says it could be the US showing our power to Asia, that we can shoot a huge intercontinental missile like that from a sub, since Obama is over seas right now.

I think he could have purposely gotten that backwards.
