Mass insanity on ATS?

Personally I've really noticed a difference here lately, not just with thread quality but with posting quality. I was actually planning to post some quotes here from a recent thread - using anonymous poster names - to show the utter childish banality of some of them but I would likely get hit with a warning. ATS is starting to remind me of GLP, shiver

Is it just me or has this forum been invaded with high-schoolers who like to mash the keyboard The folks with original and interesting opinions seem to be getting drowned out by them.

I am of the opinion that there are some gems threads and the rest is just plain false, unnecessary and hoaxes.
Oh, and I'm trying to completely avoid those new October 13 Ufo threads but when they appear on first page this gets on my nerves...

The thread that made me interested for a little while in ufology was the Chaos thread of ancient paintings and such...
But well, I won't lose my time trying to discover the truth about aliens because there is no certain truth about any of them.

I'm 20, I come here to read threads and I don't often reply because I like to read them and learn new things. Certain times ATS is extremely informative to me.
I read much of the religious conspiracies groups, and all the things about politics and economy, just things that I was completely avoiding just 2 years ago.
2 years ago I didn't know a thing about politics and religious conspiracies...
I am a very different person since the day I started watching ATS threads.
But still, I don't believe illuminati are really there, because some people think that their politicians are like Darth Vader. Its just unreal...Politicians are simply humans. That says all.
And oh, the complete absurdity of claiming the 33 miners in Chile accident was SCHEDULED!!!! WHY ON EARTH? Read aloud what you write and you will find out that is absurd to even suppose.
No, it wasn't scheduled. The number 33 doesn't mean anything at all.
I made plenty of research about those supposed Illuminati and all I came to understand is that people are very paranoid.

The gems thread in here, I can count them on my two hands. No more than 10. The rest...Is silly. Sorry but that is.

I'm against rising the age allowed on ATS because I'm young, and because it doesn't really matter.
I would ban with a warning everyone who claims they are aliens or those people who contact some entity during meditations. I would bring them to some hospitals.
I don't believe meditation makes you special. And I know that people like to lie to make people think they are special. Meditation is nothing paranormal or superior.
I would cancel all those October 13 ufo threads and New York ufo threads.
There is no evidence of ufos in New York these days...All I see is BALOONS.

And yes, I have big problems whenever I mention I am a member of ATS.
But I live in Italy. A place plenty of racism, non- Catholicism intolerancy and all of my friends look at you weirdly if you ever mention aliens, 9/11 false flag ( NOBODY of my friends has EVER believed 9/11 was a false flag and my family thought I was crazy ). YET, NO-ONE of them has ever searched for evidence of no false flag or yes false flag. They just say what they want to believe.
In Italy atheism, at least in my town makes you unpopular and look arrogant. This is Italy.
Yeah, when I come here is like looking to a far, distant different world.

i'm completely agreed idea about encroachment of Earth by aliens gotta be really ludicrous but matter of fact, USA got obvious causes to fight China & those reasons has fundamental basis

yep... ATS is the new /x/. It's a lot more fun for them because BS prediction and UFO threads live on for months, I say if a thread doesn't have a certain amount of flags ,or some other form of determining if the thread is valid, after a certain period of time it gets deleted.

Yes i have noticed, also something else i have noticed, if you debunk someone theory, your post gets removed, for the reason, that your post offended them, because you dont believe the same thing they do.

It's maddening, so many people would rather stick to bizzare magical thinking, then deal with reality, or you get angry messages from the person, because you debunked thier story/delusion.

What happened to the old ATS, that used logical sound theories and people that accepted if they were right or wrong. Personally i believe that ATS has become a breeding ground for schizophrenics (hearing voices believeing in the craziest of stories without question....unless its by the goverment)

I want an ATS with mentally sound (meaning well) people, not the crazy people believe god or aliens are talking in thier head, freaking out if anyone disagrees with them. What happened ATS? what happened Skepticoverlord?

IF abovestopsecret.com wants to be taken seriously, alot of changes are needed, magical thinking has to be left behind completely, leave them at the desktop, not on ATS.

DISINFO AGENTS ARENT REAL, they dont exist (thats excatly what a disinfo agent would say) no its someone who is trying to give you a little shot of reality.

Conscious awareness is slowly becoming worldwide..hopefully. At least that's my opinion, or like you said we're just being thrown more into delusion.

well there is that argument that the reason the posts on here are a little off center is because there really is something strange going on. the problem with this theory is that its all conjecture.

i have not and neither has anybody i know seen anything to convince us that anything strange is going on. NO imminent attack on iran or any other country. no alien invasion. nothing not even a stock market crash. the market was supposed to have crashed last year for christs sake and the US economy is still plugging along. so what gives?

Well it could be that we are experiencing what animals experience before something bad happens.
It could be that the collective conscious universe (I think that's what they've called it) is in ying/yang neutral headed towards negative = or it is full with equal parts of those who are in the know filling it up and those who want to know wishing harder.
It could be the NWO plan is coming to head with the saturation of fluoride and bromide in the water systems (I forgot what the other one was/a gas of some kind), coupled with some Project Bluebeam stunts.
Or it could be that we, as humans, once our toys have been taken away, no jobs to make the money to replace them, and we are too old and too cool to do drugs, are majorly BORED.

The more people that believe 2012 is the end of the world, the more that flock over to reilgion, personally i think the 2012 thing was made up by the vatican, i mean seirously since that came out, thier followers have increased (in many other reilgions as well)

That is a VERY important observation. I have noticed that ever since ATS has been promoting itself on Facebook, the quality of posts has hit the bottom deck. A year ago, people would find ATS because they were searching subjects online and stumbled across the site. Now every random person who has NO idea of what constitutes a UFO or who completely lacks critical thinking skills is signing up here and posting nonsense.

Let's cut the imbecilic cord to Facebook, please.

most everyone here has an overactive imagination
nobody has it all figured out; we're all in the great mystery together

I've gathered some things about the state of western civilization lately:

tensions are rising
as people reach their breaking points, certain psychosis/delusions manifest
psychosis may be a creative means to progress via temporary regression and constant reassessment of value structures

So basically, I think this is what's going to happen:

people will continue to point the finger
people will continue to look outside of their selves for the problems
people will refuse to see that the collective is a representation of individuals including you and I, and that the only true control we have is over our reactions to what we perceive to be experiencing

Until we get to:

the collective breaking points; economic & societal collapses; possible collapse of western civilization down the road
restructuring of inner values, both at the individual and collective levels
the rearrangement of societal structures across various regions of the globe

With an end result of:

true global governance with the internal high values of life, liberty, and sustainability being king of the economic, & social structures
...............................

So, this is just a process. What seems insane is actually just a means to progress overall. We must first delve into the unconscious mind and take back with us that which is most applicable in this day and age. The old ways are breaking down, and this is causing most people to flip the **** out. Let them be, else guide them along the way. Barking at them about merely being insane does no real good in the short run. In fact, this is your own personal means towards insanity. So, do what you must, but please realize the hypocrisy. It is refreshing that others have noticed the day and night difference around here, it has been bugging me for months! Ad revenue generation was the sole intent behind this movement, make no mistake about it. I have yet to witness a site harass you as much as ATS for ad blocking, etc.

Anyhow, I have been a lurker on here for a couple of years and used to appreciate the threads people would contribute and use it as a facility to educate myself. There is so much BS in here now that it is the equivalent of a you tube comment channel and finding something relevant and worth while is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Cant say that I didnt see this coming. In my opinion this is not coincidence, the intellectual debating side of this site has been effectively destroyed. ATS sold out! The downturn started with the conspiracy chicks and just snow balled from there. I dont care what you say you can not take those girls seriously regardless of how serious the content. They made a mockery of the site at the time, now its fitting. Whether they knew it or not, they played a role in putting this site at its current status. adding FB support was the nail in the coffin.

Cant deny that ATS is no longer a source of reliable/alternative information, it is just turning delusional . I know that many veteran active posters must have jumped ship for another forum because this forum is now pure chaos. I would greatly appreciate it if someone would PM me some of your new favorite discussion boards so I can feel a bit sane again. Much appreciated!
