Mass insanity on ATS?

I am just new here so I can't really compare to the past, but there is a TON of loonies around here for sure. I think there are plenty of ways to confront potential conspiracies or topics that stretch the human mind to it's limits without going bonkers.

I think if things are getting even more weird than one one would expect on a site like this it is probably because of the stress levels that we are all experiencing. Financial chaos, social strain, military threats, these are all very real concerns that people all over the world are facing on one level or another.

It takes a toll on the mind to be faced with big problems and very few solutions.

I think we all have a creeping feeling that things are going downhill and we are all fearing that the pace may begin to quicken before we have a grip on our troubles.

It's natural but we all need to be skeptical and inquisitive now, more than ever.

What i find to be a curiosity is that you kill off all the Gods yet cling to their prophecies. You dismiss all the truth painstaking learned by the ancients and denigrate it to myth and legend. Even so, you cannot begin anew with a clean slate. All your prophets have become schizophrenic and you use the midwives of reason and logic to conceive your new God. You have blinded your senses and beguiled your minds so that you can no longer see that what was true in the past is still true in the present. We are coming to the culmination of this current cycle, not the end of time The sad truth is there is no one to point to God and say "There is the Lord.". You have ministers and priests who tell you that Jesus died for you sins and the sins of the world and that he did all this between Friday afternoon and Sunday morning. Jesus was DEAD, he could not return to fulfill the resurrection prophecies. Adam and Eve repented well over 1900 years, the created Son and Daughter of God, Jesus was half-human. The past two millennia has been a Godless age. Those who have died are still among us because without the resurrected Son there is no connection to the Father. I don't believe in churches but i know there are spirits....that's a really good start.

ok interesting to say the least. do you have any evidence to back up these claims or did you just feel like making that random comment? i know this post is about mass insanity on ATS and i do agree what you described is grounds for insanity but i dont think think this is the right forum for that discussion not this thread anyway.

I'm new around here too so again can't compare to the "glory days" of ATS.

In saying that, I hereby do solemly swear that I will in no way be contributing to the amount of BS flooding the place.

I certainly lean towards the "out there" side of things but do have the brain capacity to question myself when faced with a well constructed and thought out rebuttal.

I was going to make this thread myself. I am getting really tired of seeing UFO this UFO that. Aliens this aliens that..... And out of all of these claims, there hasn't been a single thing of proof. It's always left for debate. How about headline news for once? How about a government official saying something about the ufos? OR how about a photographer that finally catches a ufo? Why is it always a crappy cell phone camera shot, that could be anything at all? And what is with every second thread on this site being ufo or alien related? I don't even bother reading this site more of the time lately. The last month has been pointless. There used to be all sorts of interesting threads, like the one where someone posted about the different cures for cancer and other diseases. What happened to quality and informative threads?! I think the moderators need to step it up a notch and close a few threads down.

Well, that's when you activate your BS filter...the BS filter is also commonly known as your brain. Although in some people...it may be...malfunctioning.

My BS filter is overloaded. Because every thread I click talks about ufo's or aliens. And the last time I checked, there was no such thing.

There are to many pompous threads like this on ATS, there is a band of Brothers who believe conformity should be the rule, people should not fear in expressing themselves in any way they choose, members on this site are free to come and go as they please.

The ageism and narcissism in this thread is abhorrent, screw those who follow the rules and their rituals for it is all around the neighbourhood, to members, Trolls and those passing through please take no notice of this thread.

this is not what we want ATS to become.

This post of yours is the epitome of why this site is going down hill.

I must agree with that last....the amount of spurious input is getting too large to avoid the bs.
The situation with ufos in particular is tiring to say the least.
It seems none of the basics ever attended to.
The quality of these reports (if indeed thats what they are) is so shabby they are worthless.
It would be nice to think that we could do some type of group mind experiments ala art bell
and it would be a great step forward if we had people who were regular contributors that could remote view select topics etc.

The ufo subject has been done to seath everywhere on the net and it still keeps mounting in daily volumes world wide.
Perhps the bulk of the world population knows we are well and truely shafted and will likely be poisoned by our own nuclear wastes and pollution,or die of some related sickness.etc etc....
Everywhere people are looking to the skies hoping for the big event to pull our chestnuts out of the fire/

Actually.....

I think that amongst the preponderance of UFO BS, there has been a small number of quite interesting threads.

The thing that will damage ATS in the long run is the relatively new group of "hard core" wilful liars & hoaxers who knowingly "skate along the ragged edge" of the T&C's. There are one or two that are causing real problems.

I think that is a difficult area for ATS to manage.

All ATS does for members here doesn't seem appreciated enough in my view, There is no emotion in my deliverance just a disappointment,

This site is not going down hill at all, ATS is still number one and there is nothing else like it, the problem we have at the moment is negativity.

pointless much. - if they are pointless to you then just ignore them and join discussion that you're interested in, duplicated threads must be an error so inform a moderator don't get so prickly over it.

Just get over it already, make it a better place or leave.....

Even the title of this thread is insulting, divisive and negative.

It seems there's an increase of BS threads these days, and to be honest, the way these guys talk sounds like they have issues, they sound like the madman from those good ol' movies, the one that said it was coming, that there was no escape and that everyone would die.

But those threads give good laughs!
