Mass insanity on ATS?

ATS is becoming more popular and has been gaining popularity for quite some time.

What you are seeing is the thoughts of the masses.

The so called crazies of the past are becoming the sanies for what of a better way to put it.

Maybe im wrong of course but im sitting on the sidelines a lot these days watching and waiting.

Today has been a perfect example. Just look at the amount of UFO threads that have been posted, because it was claimed the 13th was going to hail the arrival of UFO's How many more people are going to fall for these charlatans ludicrous claims. Amazing how "The Suggestive" can affect people's rationality and level headed thinking.

Raise the age limit....now that's the most intelligent thing I've seen on here in a while! Must be 25?

Maybe this could be something ATS would consider. Segregating the youth to their own room, and allowing the adults some intelligent conversation without all the interruptions. I do that with my own children! I don't know how they'd enforce it, but it sure seems like a good idea. Age is not always a good indication of mental capacities or even maturity, but it sure would help clean up the place a bit.

Alright I'm gonna FnS you on this for observation. I think a little more thought on the choice of words may be in
order. Something maybe like, from bizarre to bizarrio might suffice. This site is one of the homes for bizarre,
but lately things are really getting bizarrio. There is a possibility you didn't mention. Maybe more and more bizarre things are happening to peeps.
One thing everyone on this site needs to keep in mind. Is how hard it is to relate a bizarre happening to others,.
in a way that gives a perfect understanding of what was experienced.

So do you propose a personal forum for you and only you where people post original and riveting tales for your consideration?

As I said in my previous post this forum is pretty much unrestricted, there will always be the basement dwellars and neckbeards around the corner posting fairytales and doomsday predictions.

It's up to you to either post some original content for us to discuss or weed out what is not interesting.

I guarantee you, its only going to get worse as more people realise the truth of the life they placed their dreams upon and get crazy with reality.

When that happens you get desperation which is whats going on and theres no braking over the fence because we are free range workers losing work.

isnt that what everybody who come here wants? i didnt realize you came on here to have people with no intelligence and commonsense tell you tall tales with no base in reality. but if thats what your looking for i guess you found the perfect site. because thats what its turning into.

There might be more basis to these two posts than meets the eye.

Changes are afoot I think, time will tell.

This site is changing and I think theres a gap between users, it will reach an apex at some point.



Anytime I look at the threads these days this is the song that fills my head.

I'll leave with this though:

If fantasy and baseless stories are bothering you so much, start a discussion. Research a topic, make a thread, and start an original discussion. I think that will solve your problem.

Raising an age limit? That won`t help any more than it does with 12 year olds sneaking on Facebook and porn sites, its there but anyone can click a button to say there older. I was looking at how many members there are and there was 176,301 on the members page. I`m positive there will be tons of craziness coming from a group so large. But I Have not been here long enough to know any different. Hopefully things clear up, Although i find the nutty stuff interesting at the least.

If the site wishes to become a social networking site, its going about it the right way.

If it does not, then its not doing it right.

Im expecting to see celebrity endorsements etc in the near future.

By then the top thread will be about a talking duck in a bathtub of some overdosed celeb.

That might be an extreme but time changes things and direction is everything with some time added to it of course.

im just calling it how i see it. and by the looks of things im not the only one. granted its just an opinion and as another poster said why dont i research a topic myself. well i work and today is my day off so i might well just do that. but for the most part i dont have time. i do appreciate the effort most posters put into the research but it seems nobody is doing that anymore. its all copy and paste of youtube links. links to links. my contention is that the quality has gone down here but the quantity has gone up. not necessarily a bad thing but not a good thing either. well its a bad thing from my perspective but thats just me.

This is my personal opinion, mind you, but I think it's going to be a global phenom. Even more so than it already is. A multi-social network maybe. If ATS carries 50% of its members from the US of A, we're still kinda navel-gazing.

Just trying to view this from the other side a bit here.

The problem is that if topics that were on the wacky side of things true or false were to be categorised, they would mostly fall under BTS which would leave ATS very bare. Even at that, the stories and theories of the past were for their time, out of the norm.

I think if this site grows it will go through times where a lot are feeling disillusioned but if the original members stay, it will reach a level of standard where a topic can be discussed once again. In any community that goes through a change there will always be disagreements but with a rapidly growing it will be more violent. Exactly the same as moving in with a new wife

Shes here to stay folks, I think and only posting will change that if you hear me.
