Oh, was that after they bombed most of the world, or was that after the USA (or rather the CIA) supported and funded some of the most vicious dictators to get into power?

Don't get me wrong, I love America (or Americans), but you better check out which county in the world has started most wars.

Let me remind you, there's a continent size pile of cr#p floating in the ocean, mostly due to our excessive consuming. So I'd advise to focus on things that really matter.

The cry heard around the world.
Wait until you get your check from your employer and a huge chunk of your check was taken out because of the recension of the Bush tax break starting 1-1-11. Workers won't be going to the government at first they will be going to their employers asking why so much money was taken out of their check. Then they will go to Congress and ask why they did not recend the tax break before going on break.

This will mean people will not be able to pay that car payment or feed their children. Someone making $40,000 a year will have and additional $275.00 per month taken out of their checks and those making $20,000 a year $175.00 will be taken out of their monthly checks. Now how do you like embracing Socialism? The tax will only be for the Rich. LOL Can you say middle class. lie after lie after lie. ^Y^

Now the long US anti-socialism propaganda back-fires in totally opposite manner where people wrongly think that socialism is some kind of salvation, a remedy for a failing economy. Irony is almost always the only victorious. Hitler wanted to eradicate two systems from the world: communism and capitalism. But in the end his own country got split into two: communist and capitalist parts. People like Ron Paul should run a country, not Stalin or Mao....

True socialism has never been allowed to exist in this world.

Most of you would probably do the same as most others,if you ever saw it.

Destroy that which you do not understand.....

True capitalism has never been implemented in the world either.

Most of you would probably do the same as most others, if you ever saw it.

Destroy that which you do not understand.....

Jesus wasn't a socialist. Have you been sharing a koran with Obama? Learn the joy of the enexpressed thought.

Hey, here's the latest news from the world of socialism...

JINZHOU, China — The world's newest Nobel Peace Prize winner remained unreachable in a Chinese prison Saturday, while his wife's mobile phone was cut off and the authoritarian government continued to censor reports about democracy campaigner Liu Xiaobo's honor.

Yep, got to love that socialism. Where else can you win a prize while being chained to a prison wall wondering what has happened to your family.

Yep. got to love that socialism...embrace it, or it will embrace you.

We could just stop arguing "isms",and realize that the fact no one agrees on anything is why nothing ever changes.

All of these arguments over theories just muddy the water.

I do not think this is an accident;and believe that the internet is being used to muddy the water further.

Take control by dropping the reins, let the beast run itself off of the cliff.

Question yourself, where you learned what you think you know, why you were taught these things,by who?.

Drop the reins, open your mind, realize how truly meaningless everything is.

The fact we do not have to share the fruits of our labors because we can just store them away has a lot to do with the way the world is.

It is a world where we will always marginalize those with no fridge.

Muddy water makes you blind.

We are so lost...:shk:

True socialism does not take from one and give to another. If you work hard and are an entrepreneur you can still be rich, well off and handsomely rewarded for your efforts.

What it does not allow is the scenario we have now. The current one where 1% of the population has 99% of the wealth.

Socialism is much further away from animal like behavior of our dog eat dog system that has no conscience thought except to chase and get as much of the cheese as possible. It is much closer to a civilized species of sentient beings that really cares for not just themselves (selfish growling dogs afraid someone will get some of there spoils) but cares for themselves and others around them.

If we did not have a broken propaganda machine driven by the super rich we could have a fair system. We dont need to be manipulated and ripped off by these creeps that have stacked the deck because they have the ability to do whatever it takes top get to the top. This is what dogs do not humans.

Are you more human or more animal?

Yes it was. We have been doing it since our dawn.

Its called chasing the cheese any way you can no rules just aggressive behavior.

Wolves love it.

I am not some animal. We are above that by now....or we should be.

I believe in the espoused precepts and ostensible intentions which socialism, communism, democracy, democratic republicanism, political libertarianism, christianity, and many other ideologies and faiths, claim to hang their hats on .

Not a one of them have I seen implemented in a way that I regard as personally acceptable to me as an individual or consistent fully with those precepts and intentions, however.

Which is why I am politically and spiritually agnostic and skeptical until such time as it can be proved to me that any specific, organized system can achieve those precepts and intentions in a fair, unoppressive, compassionate, and universally peaceful, tolerant manner.

Until that day, I define my beliefs and intentions much more simplistically: Liberty, compassion, communication, and respect.

No it hasn't. There have always been laws against owning property and using the property as you see fit. To have freedom is to be a threat to the state. The tribe demands tribute, as does the king, or the government.

And if anybody demands freedom, ten more people demand security.

Jesus told the rich man who wanted to be one of his disciples that first he must sell all that he had and give it to the poor and THEN follow him. The man was grieved because he was very rich and couldn't give up his possessions. He did not become a disciple.

This is just one instance which reinforces my belief that Jesus was not an uber-capitalist.

The early Christians lived in communities which resembled communes. They shared and shared alike.

Everyone has to come to their own understanding of Jesus, of course, and I doubt that He himself would have advocated any particular political affiliation or party. His teachings were meant to be universal in their application.

I, myself, see Jesus' teaching as more in line with "liberal," if not socialist, philosophies but to each his or her own conscience and relationship to the divine.

I thought the oil spill was caused by an accident by BP? Now Im really confused. Are you saying it was no accident?

And how does "materialism kill"? Wasnt the life-span of the average human prolonged thanks to advances in medicine that were propelled by capitalism?

Materialism is evil. Everyone should live like monks.

And how dare there be rich people. We should rob 'em till they're just as poor.

To lend money at interest (a fine capitalist idea) was actually banned under christianity I thought. what happen to that? a reinterpretation of the bible was needed to make it possible i imagine.

My wife is Ukrainian. She's told me many times that her country was better off in the USSR. Ukraine is a country that fell horribly after the soviet union. Capitalist politicians, business owners stole and keep stealing money which is keeping people poor and who do you think is backing up this new system of corruption?

In the Soviet Union Ukraine, her family had everything : a cheap place to live, food, free doctors, free schooling, free pretty much everything important. No worries. My father in-law was a miner, which meant that the pay was way better than everything else. Mining now is ultra dangerous, money is not spent on safety, instead it's placed in profits...

There were social differences in the USSR, but nobody died hungry, nobody died because they couldn't afford doctors or medicine, nobody died stupid... Unlike the current situation in the extreme capitalist US system...

People can't afford to go to the doctor or get medicine so THEY DIE.
People can't afford to go to university SO THEY ARE UN-EDUCATED
People need to pay rent and crazy utility prices SO THEY WORK 3 JOBS AND ARE STILL POOR

What's funny is that Canada had more in common with the USSR than the US during the cold war. We were slowly getting more and more socialist, with our then new universal healthcare, free education and such...
