Wanted to post a comment about the 'eating'.

Being aware of what one eats...and that what we eat holds or held 'life'...the very same force of 'life' that is within you, and understanding this perfect circle for what it is (life must have life, to live) holds its own mysteries and wisdom's.

Each food holds an energy...if you had to always look the animal in the eyes, kill it yourself, to gain your food....you would learn this wisdom and what its worth.

The design is set in ways that we can learn deep wisdom's, if we are aware. I believe that the Sun plays a part in this too..for what you take into your body the Sun can can charge certain energies within you. The more pure your intake of energy without the processed foods and additives...the better the Sun can charge that energy within you.

When cooking for others....being in the mind set of you want that food to be of good use to their bodies, with every season and step you perform in that cooking, can add a energy to that food, love is its own vibration.

Not over filling the body is also important. Only take, what you need. Help children learn to do this.

Embrace the process that the 'life' must go through for it to become your food, your energy. Embrace the smell and every taste, be aware. Be thankful that 'life' gives 'life' for 'life to be.

It is a miraculous circle. The Spirit that gives us life....also gave itself for the life that we need for food.

Here...like many other places of wisdom, one can see the worth and value, of offering.

I personally find that the time of spring equinox is a great time to 'cleanse' the mind and body. A time to fast in some way, be it cutting out meats for a small time or be it even cutting out the 'comfort foods' for a small time. Knowing the IAM is within you, of you....one learns to be more responsible about what goes into the 'temple' that holds Thee. In return, that IAM within you becomes more aware, of your awareness.

We are conscious minds....uniting with our souls...our souls are phases of God. When you are conscious of what you eat, where it came from, why it sustains you....you become the observer...the IAM within you as well, observes this. It is another way to 'unite' the mind and soul.

This may be slightly off-topic, but I must ponder... Why does every post on this thread have so many stars... wtf?

Hhhmmm

I guess that would be because people enjoyed what they read.

Why do you give posts stars my friend?

Are you saying everyone must only give stars to what you find appropriate?

Your Brother

Are you saying this thread does not fit the "Grey Area" description my friend?

The Gray Area: The Gray Area is a discussion forum that provides a dedicated area for members to post their confessions, disclosures, and related extraordinary personal experiences. Like the highly speculative Skunk Works forum, The Gray Area will tolerate topics that may be unusually hypothetical or unproven for the purpose of vetting the stories of thread-starters by the ATS membership at large.

No matter what anyone says there is nothing thats going to happen in the near future. We wake up everyday seeing and experiencing the same world and garbage over and over in our life. If it has been unchanged for decades, why should it change now. The thread author states that we need to wake up and see the change and love. Its great, fine but its not untold before.

This is not something new. Its been told for years but the truth is- 'Nothing is happening' out there that is going to change our society.

Change starts one person at a time my friend. You can change the world around you, and believe it or not, it has a ripple effect. We're not talking anything drastic here. Just take a little extra time to appreciate the world around you. If you do not think the world needs a little extra love right now, no problem, disregard the message.

Your Brother

No that's not what I'm saying at all, it was just a bit curious that someone enjoyed every post that I've seen. There has to be a distasteful one in here somewhere.

Taste is merely a matter of opinion my friend. I am sure that if I read through them all, I would find one that I even found distasteful. Then again, the only thing I really find distasteful is Okra. Bleh!

You have to try it breaded and fried with fried green tomatoes and a side of mashed potatoes or mac and cheese. Yum!

That's what all the Okra lovers say my friend. I have tried it every way imaginable. I try it every time someone serves it just to see if my tastes have changed. Still to this day, I can not stand it. This does not mean I would not eat it if that was all there was left in the world. I can stomach things that aren't palatable, but I will make no effort to secure this for my own delight. That much is certain.

The way I look at it, I am leaving more of this delicacy for those who truly appreciate it to enjoy.

With Love,

Your Brother

Its funny. Okra and eggplant are beautiful to look at, they attract me always. I cannot bear them. But, the good news was in time, eggplant seems to have a faint mushroom flavor and I adore mushrooms.
But in spreads, eggplant is wonderful. I should explore more recipes for both of these.

Raw food, is a very nutritous way to eat, and adding protein and nutrients to a blender at the same time, you're getting all the food value, in addition enzymes that are created by the juicing itself.

A side note is that a vegan diet depends on age with children. I didn't raise them to take tablespoons of organic molasses like now, so they're not joining me in this. Though I could probably sneak some on rolled oats.

And I don't eat red meat, so it turns out my 15 year old is now anemic. I bought expensive organic iron pills from the health food store, we're low income.

It is not cheap and therefore problably not possible for a big family to go completely vegan if they are attempting to live cruelty free and don't wish to predators in any way.

Beautiful thoughts and well said... Our existence in this physical life is extremely difficult to look beyond what we need and feel to survive. A majority of the stress and short comings we have as human beings have been caused by those that oppress and govern us. Our entire way of life revolves around money, power and greed. I feel it's like we're on a runaway train and nobody has the courage to pull the emergency break. We feel powerless to change our life's circumstances and if we do, we have to face the consequences from the powers that be. I truly feel it's beyond our control. We're all born into this tit for tat rat race, and that has unfortunately been ingrained into our everyday thoughts. Some people have been born into easy life circumstances (the rich), and some have been born into a pure life of hell. I would think those that are under a less stressful life would be able to love much easier, but as we see everyday, that is not the case. I think a lot of us, I know myself have had periods of stepping back and try to put forth an effort to change what we don't like about ourselves. It's easier said than done. What a beautiful world this would be if we all stopped this rat race and just look at each others as sisters and brothers. Love is a cool thing.

Peace brother.

wow, im sure a lot of people are gonna hate me for saying this and i tried biting my tongue for a few days as i dont believe in posting negative responses, but it sounds to me like youve sterilized yourself, shaved your head, and joined a cult! im just saying man, you can speak any way you want to, and your message isnt a bad one its just how you say it. it sounds like youre trying to come off as a deity or extra terrestrial or something. nobody knows when the ending AS WE KNOW IT will happen, not even you. so step off your horse cause your quiet ego is gonna break its back.

Where you got the message from is irrelevant my friend. As long as you got the message and it brings you joy, peace, and love for all, then I am happy.

My brother,
Where else do you give your message other than ATS? While I find most of your posts to be peaceful there is also a underlying passive aggressiveness. Tell me, how does making these post make you feel?

You writing sometimes reminds me of Riley Martin. Do you know of him?

I admit, I do come off as passive aggressive at times my friend. Usually, it is when a commenter makes an aggressive post. I have found that a passive aggressive approach to aggression, coupled with a sincere desire to work toward understanding, leads to a successful discourse. Making these posts feels good, absolutely. The reason why I feel good is because I have found agreement even with some of my staunchest detractors. We may not agree on the complexities of life, but that isn't my goal here. What we agree on, is that this world needs more love. We must be that change. All else in life, really is irrelevant.

I have never heard of him, but with google, I will make myself familiar as soon as I have time to look him up. I post on a couple other forums, but this forum is my primary avenue to the world at large for the moment.

With Love,

Your Brother
