Way to support your fellow women of the world. Obviously a die hard feminist. Are you kidding me? As a woman, it is not your responsibility to pay attention to how women are treated world-wide? And at that point, not throw a fit about their treatment? You have a free voice here, use it.

Hold up sweetie.

You goin "pro woman" and anti muslim on these boards? You'll end up amongst the ranks of "we the accused" nazi's.

The way they (muzzies) treat women is something I always bring up.

"Oh, you just dont understand" or "Your just islamophobic", or my favorite "Sig Heil! You nazi's ........(fill in the blank)".

I have a wife and a daughter. Hell, my wife and all her gal pals (90% of them being alpha females running together is interesting!) they laugh and say I'm a male "feminist". No doubt with all the estrogen around me at any point with nieces, sister in laws, ect.

Whatever. I love my women. I'm also their "guard dog".

Personally, I dont think the muzzies have the women covered up for them to show "modesty", I think its because the men are:

1. Paranoid they'll find someone that'll treat them like humans.
2. having self control issues.
3. terrified the women will find someone without a unibrow and a carpet attached to their back.

Oh, but you are such a hater to be mean to the saracens

You hold any religion to the same light as society and you're gonna see alot of ugly truths. This thread is so pointless, so many countries have horrible womens rights regardless of religion.

As for making that a reason to invade another country by your logic next stop should be Nepal or any african nation. But no that won't happen, because there's no profit there for them.

Another 200 years? This is the 21'st freakin century! We'll be teleporting when these savages decide "hey, how about a reformation"!

We cant survive another 2 centuries. they need to be walled up inside of saudi (where it began). Women excluded, escapee's would be dealt with.

200 years from now, too much of the world (thanks to idiot bleeding hearts) will be islamified and reformation WILL NOT happen.

Islam is not a religion, its a politcal movement like communism.

You can see how communism in 100 years has crept forward.

I would agree not to invade these countries for "humanitarian" reasons (our politicians are too corrupt to keep it honest) except places like Iran that are not "naturally" muslim. I think these folks in particular would be glad to see the back side of mohammed and his pig lovers running across the borders to escape.

Because there is no gender indicator on this site, I can not actually say. Although reading a post the other day it was cleverly estimated that 20% of the ATS populatlion is female. There are so many pro Muslim sites on this board, I can only assume that the same 20% holds true. Worth at least a little research right? Are all pro Muslim replies by males? That would be a bigger, better, post. Hope you do the research.

Weak assumptions make a poor case, you know what they say about the risks of assuming.

I think the OP was aimed at muslim women who are happy muslims
in the west but to their surprise would not be in a muslim nation.
Thats my take on it anyway. What i would like to know if any
muslim women are allowed to use the computer is,
if a muslim woman dies as a martyre, what would she do with the
70 or so dark eyed virgins?

The problem goes far deeper. This Muslim Women are brainwashed and indoctrinated to their "role-model". But it's same in every religion. I am also for freedom for everyone, but at the end what does it mean?

I am not free, I have to work and consume, this is what the state and the industry wants me to do. I can not be free. They try brainwash me all the time with advertisements, the state tells you what you have to think and to say to be patriotic. I just want to see me work, like a bot. I don't feel free and I can own the whole world, as long as they try to say me what I have to do to be a "good" man, it's a lie, a bit huge fat ugly lie.

We all know from hearth what's good and what is not, we are born emphatic, wise and full of love. But when we loose our childhood we turn in to monsters, the system wants and needs. If no man on world is greedy, it will have enaught of all - for ever. It's just a matrix in our brains.

The same with safety. There is no safety, and will never be. It's just a feeling, a believe. And at least god made us so weak, we try to hide us behind him, while we do unethical things on this planet. That's the lowest kind of live form.

We People on this planet must start recolonize that we are proud and stupid assholes, and we will die in the next 100 year from our greed and hate and intolerance - or we find our way to reflect. To let things go. To get mature and wise. But I see just a huge kindergarten full of intolerant egoistic people. I think our faith stays.

We need no religion, no god, no jesus, no schari’a, bible or a golden lamb (money, power). We need love, insight, forgiveness and quantity. The religions are not bad in it's root's - but everything you give in mankinds hands will break a part. Because we are imperfect. So this is the first thing we must learn. We are very imperfect.

Hi crazydaisy, you know I think the OP can be interrupted in a few different ways....
I took it as we women and men should take a look at how the other cultures live and to take what we learn and incorporate into what is going on here on our soil.
That if we allow other cultures to make such an impact here in America, ....that do we really know what is ahead for us.

Interesting that the OP can be interrupted so many different ways.

It sounds like you got out of a messy situation alive and well
Good for you!

I HATE the Taliban and those that support them!

Also

In this grotesque carnival, the US military's contractors are forced to pay suspected insurgents to protect American supply routes. It is an accepted fact of the military logistics operation in Afghanistan that the US government funds the very forces American troops are fighting. And it is a deadly irony, because these funds add up to a huge amount of money for the Taliban. "It's a big part of their income," one of the top Afghan government security officials told The Nation in an interview. In fact, US military officials in Kabul estimate that a minimum of 10 percent of the Pentagon's logistics contracts--hundreds of millions of dollars--consists of payments to insurgents.

www.thenation.com...

Who exactly do you think put the Taliban in power?
Who do you think has been controlling Pakistani Govt. for decades now?

Have you seen the pictures of how Iran and Afghanistan used to look like before the CIA propped up their govt.?

Couldn't agree with you more, I read a good book by a women journalist in the 90s who had spent decades in the middle east and all of this fascism and a return to sharia and burkas, was done out of saudi arabia, and most obviously by the western bankers intent.

We need unity on this planet and everyone is our brother/sister/mother/father and child, their pain must be addressed. There must be a way. The south had underground networks to get people to canada. Many of us can't go to sleep at night well living in a world of haves and have nots. This hellzone has to be changed.

There are many decent places in the middle east from what I have heard from my friends.

You make a lot of assumptions without really backing any of those assumptions up my friend.

What you think that EVERYBODY in all muslim dominated nations behave this way? That they are all following the tenants of Islam do the max without any sort of leway?

Ridiculous.

I'm sure every Christian nation is stoning children to death and still killing non believers eh?

Right.

It's called moderation, and most of the world's people, regardless of the issue, are mostly moderates.

Are you saying that being pro-Muslim is the same as being pro-subjugation of women in the Middle East?

I bet you can paint walls in no time with such a wide brush as that.

Edited for a stray hyphen.

Exactly. The sad fact is that the extremists are the ones who get more recognition because, well, they are extreme. Just like here in America, we are always guilty of attributing the deeds of a few to the entire group when most of the time the group just wishes the extremists would shut up.

I'm taking this as - an attempt to rally support for Mid East military action based on the treatment of women.

But that's avoiding the issue of these wars to begin with. Mistreatment of people is a terrible thing but you cannot justify a war based on one concept with another.

This is deflection and it's grasping at straws.

If you wish to start more wars to liberate the women or people of an area based off mistreatment - fine - go ahead and do that - but the current military action is not based off those ideas.

By the OP's logic - Canada, which has no reason to invade the US, could go ahead and do so and then justify it with horror tales of the mistreatment of US beer drinkers.

Middle East = Muslim = Sharia Law = Horrible treatment of women..

You are speeding down a slipery slope with a world of big generalizations.

In many parts of the Middle East women serve in parliment and are respected political leaders and lawmakers.

As far as Sharia Law and women...the most inhospitable place is Saudi Arabia...the most welcomming is Egypt.

Women were only given the right to vote in the USA in 1920...

It wasn't until 1900 until married women in the US were allowed to own property of thier own.

During most of the 1800's if the father died, any minor children were declared orphans and often put in orphanages.

Did America suck in it's entirity until then? Was Christianity to blame for the horrible treatment of women or the political landscape and power hungry men?

Saudi Arabia is the biggest offender...and the USA's biggest ally. We should be taking it to them daily rather than kissing and holding hands with their leaders.

Christianity if practiced the way it was intended..

Genesis 3:16
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

1 Corinthians 11:3
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

1 Corinthians 14:34-36
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Ephesians 5:22-24
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Colossians 3:18
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

1 Timothy 2:11-15
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing.

1 Peter 3:1
Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands.

Does this mean that many modern Christians in the USA are not devout when they allow women basic rights?

Does this mean that the Muslim religion is responsible for the treatment of women in Saudi Arabia and other conservative parts of the Middle East?

I say no to both. It is politics and power..it is misogynists...and it is not bounded by religion or geography.

I know actually thinking about these things wasn't really your intention with this OP, but it should be.
