As an American who has been in 12 different countries (never Au or NZ), I can confirm that the many of people in the world love America, and what it stands for. I understand anger towards the US government, but not towards the American people. We all just want to live full, meaningful lives filled with purpose.

I've always been pretty good at geography and have never thought this subject was anything more than a fascinating psychological "phenomenon" - much like the whole dead celebrity thing, which also fascinates me. Why are there certain countries that many people think have moved? Why are there certain celebs that many people think have died? Whatever the reason, it's worthy of discussion on an alternative news forum

First post for me! Hi All!

Now, whilst I may be interested in things such as timeline shifts, this is clearly not the case, as Oz has pointed out above. Here is another picture I found after a bit of searching.





It's just an image with New Zealand in an inset in that position to save space. Perhaps in not being that interested in geography, people may just have seen this picture in books and assumed it was in that spot.

I myself experienced a timeline shift and I am majoring in geography, geography has been my passion ever since i was a child, and I'm not from the USA (but that is not the point).
You guys bashing and calling us nutters for experiencing something that you did not prove you uneducated, close-minded and really arrogant.

Remember, same thing happened centuries ago, they did believe the earth was flat, until they introduced cosmology and physics, the law of gravitation explained it (least some of it). Now think about it, the atom, quantum physics, the universe, time/space continuum.... there are a lot of mysteries out there.

I can't believe a thread like this would make it to the top, i joined ATS only because of the timeline thread, and I'm really disappointed in all you, wasn't this the place to think outside the box? You proved you like your little box, and your believes. Well, hold on to them, i should care less.

And I also saw a poster who thought he'd seen it being a date in the future :O IE 5th October 2010 but the simplest explanation for that is that most places outside the USA actually write the date as DMY, not MDY so 10/5/2010 is actually 10th May, not 5th October. That little anomaly is the source of an ongoing battle I have with Excel when importing time/date data in simple text form into spreadsheets (Excel seems to have a built in default preference for US formatted dates despite the regional settings). I've never even considered that my PC was set up in an alternate universe as the reason for it - just blame micro$oft (works for me). Some here might try to convince me it's caused by LHC experiments.

Interpreting very ordinary observations as being the result of fantastic events is, I suppose, what makes it the sort of topic you'd expect to see on ATS.

In hindsight after my last post I realized that New Zealand and Australia are the ONLY places on the map that I remember differently from where they currently reside in this dimension. ALL OTHER PLACES including continents, islands, oceans, rivers etc, seem to be right where I always remembered them. So why is it only seem to be Australia/New Zealand that seem slightly out of place to me? (as in NZ to the north ease not south east and Aust. further away from land, further south, the way I remember it is also consistent the pangea model, but it would just be the land masses drifted in slightly different directions) I wonder how many others who remember Aust/NZ to be out of place think similarly about other land masses? If this is the only place us crazies or dimension shifters so to speak remember being out of place than maybe there IS something to all of this.

but... as mentioned above by the more sane among us, there is absolutely no way of proving any of this, so i digress

ummm, the onus is very much on you people to demonstrate that your explanation may be plausible (lets forget about "true", lets just go for plausible).
