Sean48, I have read many of your posts, this is the first of your threads that I have read, and I will admit I have not read all of the posts in this thread.. (this is something that I do not usually do.)

Yet I must "CAUTION EVERYONE" that from reading all of your previous posts,(in other threads) in my humble opinion you sir, You seem to have a very "anti gun" agenda! (redkneck spellin) If I have "misinterprited"(RK,spellin) you, I will be more than willing to appologize...

If you can and are willing to explain your "point of view" and show that this thread that you started, is not just a "trolling" action to entice those that are "pro-gun" to voice thier beliefs voicefully so you may labele them as "gun nuts" I will be willing to debate this issue with you..

otherwise, sir, in previously threads that you have participated in, and the opinions that you expessed in those threads, I was under the impession that you were against "gun ownership" of the "average citizen"

If I am wrong, or if I have taken your previous posts wrongly, the fault is mine...And I will be the first to state my mistake..

so please clarify, and state your position clearly on gun ownership, and the the right to protect yourself.. all this under, and in regards to the 2nd ammendment of the Constitution of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA!!!..

Whats really interesting is the US never listened much to the UN before, and ignored all of their laws, such as depleted uranium being weapons of mass destruction and numerous human rights and war related issues, but now suddenly they've decided they MUST listen.
Why would that be?

All I've got to say is, if they try and take my guns, someone is getting shot.

Well, hey, in my "day" we were getting ready to have one "hell" of a conflict!! back then there were 2 big time "super powers" and "depleted uranium" was the least of "our worries" the whole friggin world was a bit more worried about TOTAL NUCLEAR"DESTRUCTION"(redkneck spellin)

So now geeewhiz we are so much more "enlightened" aren't we.........
and we have such a big friggin "hardon" about using "radioactive" rounds..

yeppers, that is way more worse than burying land mines, that maybe the "averavage joe" farmer and his wife and kids step on 30 years later... God "Damn" the American Devils, that "poison the land" with "depleted uranium" instead of "planting the Earth" with Explosives!!!!

War SUCKS!!!!!! all around!!! I have been there, GUNS SUCK!!! I have been on bothe ends of them, they have saved my life, and those that I love, I have also been shot 3 times, just like anything else, guns, as any weapon can be used for good or evil...

I know, I love guns and am all for gun rights but dang, if you even mention the word bill and gun in the same sentence. All sorts of wild unfounded things start getting thrown everywhere.

It's funny, people have more gun rights now than they did what 4 years ago, but holy hell they constantly think that "day is comin' fer our gunz!"

Exactly, thank,you.... the recent "thread starter" IE the OP, nuff said... I do respect his "opinions" but he does "seem to be very anti gun"and wants to get everyone going on the "they want to take your guns away" train..... just my opinion...

No one is saying don't be alert, what we are saying is seek reality first. I mean it's still legal to buy guns, fact is, gun sales in this country are at an all time high. It's probably one of the few areas of the economy that is doing good.

Assault weapons are legal again, you can have a CCW permit. Hell it's even going to be legal to bring a gun into a national park.

So in fact the trend is showing that you are gaining gun rights.

Guns are a symbol, a very important symbol, of freedom. It's also a tool of freedom. Americans know that if their guns are taken away, so will be their country. We are the land of the free, home of the brave. But this isn't so without our guns.

If they come for our guns, that means they are coming for our country. This will not happen on our watch.

The U.N. knows that before they can set up the world government they must take away the guns from the Americans. If they don't do that, then they can't create a global law forbidding global citizens from owning guns. If they make an exception for the Americans, then all the other countries (global zones) will cry out that it isn't fair the Americans are being treated special, which will destabilize the global government itself.

People around the world do not realize how serious Americans are about their guns and the symbol of freedom they represent. If the world wants a war with the Americans, their wish will be granted.

I am not going to B.S. anybody. An honest reply is what I will deliver.

I am an American who lives in the Southern United States(Florida as a matter of fact). I know many people around my country who have hidden stashes of weapons and ammunition(many of whom are my dads vietnam buddies). I also have many close friends who are local who own more than one weapon and thousands of dollars worth of ammunition.

If the UN were to take my weapons away, there are two realistic options of what would happen: 1) if they came to my house unannounced and I was alone, I would give them my guns and put up no resistance. 2) if there was word that the UN was coming to take our guns, many of us would form militias to combat the threat. I'm a firm believer in every American's "Right to bear arms" held within the 2nd ammendment of our constitution. Many within the Southern States will agree with my beliefs on that subject(especially if a majority of the voters are Republican).

Side note: I am not one for politics due to the rational ignorance effect. I hold my firm beliefs and my firm beliefs alone. I am not affiliated with any particular party.

If the government were to start labeling all those who have guns as terrorists and use other forms of harrasment, I believe that as word would eventually get around, a movement would start with massive protests nationwide(at least I would like to hope so).

Just my 2 cents.

Enough of this, it is obvious that these douche bags (Canadiens and Australians) are looking for a job with the U.N. Well good luck and look forward to seeing you in Texas.

"What is really exciting, is the 9,907 mentored hunting licenses purchased by 10- and 11-year olds," said Diane Brookbank, chief of DNR's licensing and customer service unit. "These are the future hunters and conservationists that will step into the woods in place of the hunting 'retirees' as our population ages."

Sheet, we have people training in hunting at 10 and 11 years old.

Some numbers for everyone to see what they would be up against in my state only.

More than 638,000 gun deer licenses sold

Now, let us just say only 10% of us would do "something" about it. That is 64k people. Now, just by people that I know, I would say that number would be more like 95%. So a better estimate would be 50%. That is a force of 319,000 people. This is just people that hunted in the last deer season. I know of a lot of people that do not hunt, but they do own guns.

Sorry everyone, this is just my state.

If you think that the people of the US would allow confiscation, you just do not understand our mentality. We would not allow this EVER. PERIOD.

Hey all.. Long time reader of this site, first time poster.. Finally decided to give in and join the conversations.

I would say the UN has no leg to stand on with recent supreme court rulings making gun ownership under the 2nd amendment and individual right. Being no law can override this, anything the UN does wont be able to overcome the Supreme Court Ruling.

As a side note I will say that as amember of Law Enforcement, I would never support any law that requires me to go door to door to collect weapons.

I think its time for the UN to work on stopping the corruption in their organization, and reminding themselves they are not a democratic body, and have absolutely no authority over anything other than the time they want to use the restroom.

I think the UN needs to head on to another continent.. It would, at the very least, resolve a mountains of unpaid parking tickets for New York City.

Yes sir , I agree with you, and this thread is another in a long line of threads that the op, and others of his "ilk" have started, about the topic of the gov't is gonna take your guns away..and this on on a "conspiracy" site........... hmmmm wonder why?,,,,,

possibly so those of your "ilk" can all tell us that we have nothing to worry about, and we don't need to voice our opinions , or even bother to try to defend our "Constitution" cause there is nobody trying to take away our constitutional rights, nobody has ever tried to do that so there is nothing to fear,,,

So we have a Canadian, a Brit, and an Australian telling Americans they won't stand up against gun confiscation. Please fellows we aren't a bunch of pussies who have allowed gun confiscation such as your countries.

In my state of Idaho I can buy any gun or rifle I want from any individual with no paperwork and no questions asked.
