The youtubes showing cops confiscating guns from old ladies and and such are a joke. That was propaganda. I guarantee you there were areas they did not even attempt to go to because they knew it would be a fight period. But of course that never made it to the news or youtube

I agree it was crap. The weakest were stripped of their only protection by those who swore to protect them. Then they were left to fend for themselves.

Point is not only DID it happen, not one person came to their aid. Hell, it was the cops shooting the unarmed people at that bridge as I remember... I stand by my previous post.... Lube up

..Ex

Thats all talk Kozmo, and you know it!

Americans are typically known for over exagerating, the replies to this thread lend fruition to that remark.

Is it??? If what is being stated in the OP comes to pass, I guess we will find out.

Not even Hirohito was crazy enough to invade the American mainland citing his fear that there would be rifles pointed at them from behind every blade of grass! To be clear - we have MORE guns today than we did during WWII!

Well good luck to the U.N. on trying to take guns out of American's hands. For most gun owners will live and die bye the creed of " You can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hands". If this does happen it should be considered an Act of War against our Constitutionaly Protected rights to Bear Arms as Law Abiding American Citizens. To be honest I think their aren't enough people in the world that would be willing to risk their lives going door to door taking weapons from people equally armed or better. On any battlefield throughout history defenders have the better chance of winning then attackers, just food for thought.

Apparently some of you Canadians and Australians would rather "lube up" than fight for what you believe in. I guess that is one way to live your life. I can't speak to what happened in New Orleans because I wasn't there and I don't trust the media to tell anything remotely like the truth.

I will say this - I may be only one man but I WILL shoot at whoever tries to take my guns. I don't care if they are my neighbors or fellow citizens they will have become my enemy. Believe what I say or laugh me off as a crazy. It doesn't matter what you think.

Good luck trying to collect them! They'll get them about an inch at a time!

The treaty does not apply to free Americans only to employees of the Corporation known as the United States.

Beautiful! You took the words directly out of my mouth! I hardly got through the first few posts before seeing and agreeing with this!

In order to sign a treaty, the president needs the approval of two thirds of the senate. Article II, section 2. Though some presidents have tried, and gotten away with, "agreements" with a simple majority or by sole executive for short term needs. I don't think that a treaty with such far reaching consequences, passed by anything other than the constitutionally listed means, would hold up before the Supreme Court. Of course that's assuming that O doesn't get to mess up the current configuration of the court anytime soon.

Unfortunately, this current democrat lot is bound and determined to wipe their arse with constitution, so I wouldn't put it past them to try simple majority. See the "Slaughter" rules they are trying.

Bahaha, i have to laugh at the current replies to this thread.

Australia's guns were taken because of a staged one man massacre.

As sad as it is my American friends, your guns will be taken from you,............(not from my cold dead hands ) i hear some say...... Wake up!

How you going to stop them, done a great job so far....

How will we stop them!? With guns of course! And if that doesn't work, we'll die fighting for the right, I promise you. Just because Australia allowed their gun rights to be restricted/ taken away, doesn't mean Americans will do the same without a dreadful fight. You would be watching a horrible scene unfold on BBC, with news crews covering the massive loss of life that came from trying to take our guns. They may win in the end, but I'd bet I won't be alive to see it.

, done a great job so far....

Do you know what guns rights I have as an American citizen? I can buy any gun that is available, and that includes fully automatic if I want to pay the tax stamp. Or how about a suppressed/silenced Glock 27? Yep, just buy the gun, pay the tax stamp on the silencer, and buy the threaded barrel. The only thing restricting my ability to get fricking awesome firepower is my bill fold my friend, not my Government. Why don't you check a little before making silly comments? Thanks!

Really?

Well, the grand poobah has spoken! I guess I should hang my head in shame and try not to watch too many movies! NOT! This is the attitude that lost Australia's right to keep and bear arms, and I'm sorry you are blinded by it. Good luck to you friend.

Dude stick to Canada and don't project your weakness on to us because of media propaganda. Those Videos were propaganda those people and locations were picked for that reason, media sound bytes. No one came to their aid because they were busy protecting thier own and from cops and military. Canada may bend over but Americans will fight by the millions!!! I guarantee thousands stood thier ground and told cops to pound sand when told they had to turn over thier weapons. We still have all our guns we have not given them up like Australia and we are stocking even more up for just such an occasion.

And in reference to New Orleans there were guns seized, however in result a bill was passed to put guidelines on government actions, and one of those is that anyone working for or on the behalf of a federal agent can no longer seize weapons in an emergency, unless the person could not legally own them in the first place.

Few know about this. But they prefer to overlook it because they would rather entirely blame the government for things that haven't happend to them yet.

I'd rather die on my feet then live on my knees licking boots. Of course if the time comes I intend to take the Patton approach, you know making the other dumb bastard die. And for the ones who posted about resisting until you run out of ammo don't forget about all the free ammo, guns, radio's etc.. that should be strewn through the front yard.

I apologize for my typos. I am on a cell phone, but you get what I am trying to say.

As for the Aussie . . . your county was founded on being subjects. The USA was founded on freedom. Nuff said.
