While I agree to a certain level that the bill isn't perfect, I must say it is a lot better than what we have now. I really wouldn't care how much they tax me to provide those without insurance benefits. I make a nice 15/hr base rate plus incentive so my bills are fine. I'm not rich, no lambo, but hey if my bills are paid and my mouth fed, and some of my extra hard earned cash providing other citizens of my country with health benefits... it would definitely give a wholesome feelings. I'm no born again christian or anything, but seriously people, think about it, if any of your family were these people without insurance, and you'd loan them money if they needed it, what is the difference. In essence we are all family.

Might've lost faith in religion, but I still believe in the commandments, if that makes sense. Those are really the only laws I see perfect. There's quite a lot of things our "God loving/endorsing" government does to contradict it's unified "trust in God". They break the commandments in many ways. Not to mention health care and stuff is crazy. Not only when you start a new job with probationary period are you "uncovered" for that set amount of time, but it's a nuisance then, because your stressful days become intensified with the worry of what plan is best, is another provider better for me? They should provide this universal health care. Then in time make necessary revisions to appease everyone. No bill is perfect at first...

How so, better?

My wife and I pull in less than 100k/year, together.

I have a 'Cadillac' healthcare plan through my work, my taxes will go up 15k/year if this bill passes.
I will have the same plan, less money.

My family will be pushed toward a single payer system.

NOT better for me or my family.

And apparently not better for the MAJORITY of Americans that oppose the bill!

PS: I gave you a star too. Nice first post, welcome to ATS.

I just heard him say it was BS and he didn’t say it

LoL

You're saying that Rush didn't say "ill leave the country"???

Did you even listen to the clip from the link in the OP?

LOL I love you Rush-bashers, you guys have never listened to Rush and if you have, most likely can't get past that misty Obama-love that's clouding your judgment. As much as you don't like Rush, what he says is pretty well true, he, unlike all left wingers, can back up his reporting.

When it comes to people that try to go all anti-Rush, the only thing they do is stick their finger in their ears and go "LALALALALALA!!!" and calling him a stupid poopy head.

PLEASE, give me a solid, logical, sound reason why you don't like Rush, most people can't.

Oh yeah, he did say it alright. Now he's chickened out and claiming that he didn't.

But it's on the record.

I would like to say that my thoughts on the healthcare bill reflect on"us, us, us..." My family.

I love and care deeply for them.
This bill will rob from them what my spouse and I work very hard to get.

I care about other people, my tax dollars support them every day and I don't begrudge that.

I have waited in line at the emergency room at the local hospital with my daughter having an asthma attack. People in line before us had no insurance and were being treated for the 'sniffles'.

Thanks for the new bill, as soon as they ram it through congress against the wishes of the majority of the American people, my family will have less money for food, clothing and other necessities.

I just want to be clear that it is not all "about me".

The "me, me, me" bit was a generalisation and based on observation of the world...

And it wasn't directed toward anyone in particular on this thread....

Understood, I just wanted to put it out there. There are a lot of people in my family's situation.

We are not rich, not dirt poor, but it is a struggle to make ends meet.

The majority of the American population have medical insurance that they pay for, either with cash or through their employer (paid for with their hard work).

I am certain that the 'payback' for most of us will be less care at increased cost. My certainty is because the federal government will have increased involvement.

Healthcare needs to be overhauled in the U.S. to make it a fair system but taking on a socialized system is the wrong way to do it. My opinion.

Here you go... right from the horse's... mouth. It looks like your the one who needs to learn a bit more about TRUTH. So you heard him say it was BS? I wonder who are the liers now??

My dear lord both you and these "young turks" are morons. Probably you more so than they.

The question was "Where would you go for health care?"

The answer was "I would leave the country. I would go to costa rica."

Now, if i say i'm going to leave the country, does that mean i'm never coming back? Does it mean i'm renouncing the my country and gaining citizenship in another country?...........NO!!!!! It means i'm going out of the country for a while!!!!

He would go to costa rica FOR HEALTH CARE!!!!!

Maybe you and RNAA should pay a little more attention to the discussion. Otherwise it will look like you’re unable to read, comprehend and make an independent judgment on your own without being told what to think by your masters! Have a nice day.

Costa Rica has universal health coverage.

Of course there is a lot of the big fat blowhard to cover...it could bankrupt the state.

So...when you said "I just heard him say it was BS and he didn't say it, but hey, what does the truth matter to a liberal media"

What exactly are you saying then?

Because, it sounds to me that what you're saying is that limbaugh didn't say what the OP says he said.

But the video proves that wrong.

So if that's not what you're saying, then please, correct me.
Tell me what these two sentences ACTUALLY mean:

I just heard him say it was BS and he didn’t say it. But hey, what does the truth matter to a liberal media.

Not wanting a health-care takeover does not make you any wing.

If anything it makes you educated.

Who do you think will be running the show? the same insurance companies they claim they are against. It is an insurance takeover using the force of government to install it.

Limbaugh can leave if he wants why would you cheer?

You will still be left with the problems you had before.
To be honest. I hope they pass health care. You know why? Hasten the self destruction of this socialist Utopia.

I know and you know deep down that you can't name a single bill or law they have kept there promise on and applied it as it was written. The rule of law does not apply to this government only the rule of force.

What do i have to say? Let them show us who they are let them destroy there own government. When its all said and done the Patriots will put the pieces back together and justice will be done under common Law.

Hasten the return of the free nation. Please obama pass health care. We want you to destroy yourself.

Is that a serious question?

I would throw a mega-huge part if Limbaugh left the country.

If he thinks Costa Rica is going to be much different, he has another thing coming.

The question that was asked of Limbaugh was "Where would you go for health care?" His answer was "I would leave the country. I would go to Costa Rica." He didn’t say he would “move” out of the country. In other words, he would go somewhere else to be treated.

My comment regarding the liberal media was the spin put on what he actually said vs. the implication he was threatening to move. Moreover, the OP ignored the facts even though he knew from the beginning that Limbaugh’s comment was taken out of context. If he hates him, be honest about it. Call your thread I’m a liberal who hates Limbaugh.

Edit to add: Just my opinion. We are all allowed one.

Can you please prove to me that the right does not distort things as well?

I reported what the article said.

Besides that what is he implying then that the nation's health care would become so bad that he would leave country for his if the bill(s) pass and there is no evidence of that one way or the other.
