I'm glad you said that was starting to feel pretty primative, to the OP nice story gave me a good laugh, I was gonna have a burger for lunch but I really don't fancy it now for some reason and when I look out my window all I can see are lumps of meat walking around lol, lets thank god the aliens don't know what a vegetarian is we don't wanna confuse them even more, meat that only eats vegtables lmao this is funny.

This is one of my favorite short stories. It was in Omni magazine when I read it as a kid, makes me laugh just as hard now. Thanks for posting it.

This was a good read. It reminds me of Ray Bradbury's book "The Martian Chronicles"...an anthology of stories based around the newly acquired ability to travel and live on mars.....Check it out. Its pretty interesting

I know I've read this a couple of times before, but it is still classic. Hilarious and yet it makes you think.

It also sort of reminds me of that Star Trek TNG episode when they find some sort of crystal life form and debate whether it is life or not. Eventually Data translates what it is saying and it describes humans as "ugly bags of mostly water".
