They're Made Out of Meat

I actually loled at a few parts "flapping their meat" but stil..quite a good way of thinking wouldn't it be funny yet sad and upsetting that whilst we send messages out to the stars they are just sitting their with hands over their mouths stifling laughter occasionaly sending a recorded fart to us(WOW! signal for example).

Still if they don't want to meet us then screw them they aren't worthy of meeting us..i'm sure someone else will come along in a few years

I love that story, it goes to show you that life is relative.

I found this story very interesting.
However, if I may, I´d like to throw a "short spin on it" see what you think.


This is the latest report on our observations of planet x3 sector 4596.
It has been determined by our drone explorers that this planet offers an ideal atmosphere.
The balance of water and land mass is excellent for the Traturi project of our science team. There are plenty of life forms and organisms that naturally interact.
Well, I think we can proceed at once with Traturi then.
Well, there is a problem.
What is it?
The planet is infested in a great part of it´s land surfaces by what can only be described as some sort of plague, which consists mainly of inanimate objects which are built and then infected by meat organisms that are the most dominating species, and these meat organisms constantly interact with this objects, and have been polluting the planet for a good time now.
So then, what do you recommend?
We believe that this species is slowly destroying this planet.
So it is our recommendation to act upon this disease of meat organisms and exterminate them so that this planet can be salvaged and used for our Traturi project.
Proceed at once then. Eliminate those infecting meet organisms from that planet and let´s install the Traturi project in it.

No worries OP, you didn't find it because it is not named They're made out of Meat.

I would have put money on that having been editted out of Douglas Adams' The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (a trilogy in five parts): the styles are so similar.

It fits in perfectly with the preface to book 1, where the human race is described as monkeys who's fascination with colored bits of paper is exceeded only by their fascination over digital watches.

Great post and I'd say its in the right section. Us assuming all life is like us is our own arrogance and that is clearly the point of this story.

It's a trilogy in SIX parts now... I know, it's not by douglas... as that would be impossible... But it's existent!
