For the love of all things Sacred and Holy, keep it DARK!!!
If you make the screen lighter, all the Angels in Heaven will lose their wings.
The dark version is awesome, and easier on the eyes. It looks slick.

dark for me as well. Although the text could be lightened up a bit on the dark background.

Can't we choose via our personal settings? When I do sites sometimes the client wants the user to choose, especially for "impaired" viewers. Do a default, but allow the change when you log on and append a field in your DB user table for the preferred CSS.

Anyway, I prefer the light version, more modern, less nerdy.

If ATS used a threed colours CSS, the site would show up as per your desktop. Works in IE on Win anyway, can't remember for other browsers and OS.

Humans are very adaptable animals . No matter what is decided in the end , we will All have to just deal with it . That said , I would prefer Black over White .

Well for me it has to be dark. Not only is it much easier on my eyes, most of my graphics made for discussions incorporate the dark grey background (in order to embed the image better on the page). Example:

Please Note:

I changed my mind, want to change my vote.

DARK is better for my eyes.

[Sorry.]

I'd vote for dark.
The older I get, the more bright stuff hurts my eyes.

I've already cast my vote for light, but I saw someone had mentioned something that interested me. Do any of you who prefer the light mode have night blindness? I have it badly and can't see in the dark, therefore the dark background makes it extremely hard to me to see.

Anyone else?

Keep it Dark as a contrast to the Light (Us).

Dark. In fact, if you can keep it the same as you have now that would be perfect.

I remember when Wordperfect stopped using the blue background. That was traumatic.

I like the dark at present .
But the new dark seems fuzzy letters. and the light seams to bright for long time reading . so if its got to change dark but sort the fuzzyness .

I prefer the dark gray with light gray text. Much easier on these old eyes.

Dark for me, please.

I do a lot of reading on ats.

Thanks!

My preference is Pork: The other white meat.

And in this case, pork means Black text on a light tan background. All this gray is depressing, regardless of the color shade!!

The "fuzziness" is a compression artifact from converting the image into a JPeg file. When you see it "live" it'll be crystal.

I prefer the Dark Background.
A mostly white screen is too much glare on the eyes.

Is it possible for you to have an option as some boards have, to chooze your preferred colors?
