I read your link S-Dog. It made some good points; was far from objective. Perhaps the same author might someday write a self-satisfied blurb telling us why the documents will never be forthcoming, or why he finds it so easy to buttress his own points by character attacks against some of the better known "birthers"? The article pretends to be about conspiracy theorist psychology.

But that's okay, I guess. Screw 'em. They're just crazy birthers. Fair game. Maybe there will be a hunting season soon.

Sure if you say so, but that doesn't change the fact that the government can create any document they want, after 9/11, Iraq, Afghanistan and all the other MAJOR lies that go along with those genocides, the small ones are nothing. I would say that yes I still believe they can create whatever they want and present it as truth.

Obama is not a back woods hic, he is part of a sophisticated family that has been running the show for hundreds of years, and you want me to believe what they say, well...HAHA another good one.

So you can make threads with your psycho-babble all you want to but the fact is we have someone in the White House we know next to nothing about.

You obviously did not read (or at least understand) what I said, which included me saying the psychological aspect ultimately does NOT matter. Then I said it is used to further divide us.

Sheesh ...

I would say that not all "birthers" fit this description, but some certainly do *cough*Orly Taitz*cough*.

For some, it's pure racism pure and simple. (oh they won't admit it in a million years, but it's true.)

For some, it's deep seeded hatred for the Left.

For others, it's because they hate the government so much that anything that discredits that government appeals to them.

So it's up to the individual "birther" for the reasons they follow this insane pseudo conspiracy theory.

or what about other options you havent considered. what if it has nothing to do with racism, hatred for a particular political party, o9r hatred for government at all. what if it has more to do with wanting the leader of this country to actually be eligible... but nah, you are prolly right.... they just gota be crazy.

First off... I am not an American. I live in Europe and consider myself an interested observer of American politics and culture. However I have nothing personal invested in American politics, no pride, no honor, no money, no patriotism and no votes. Just to be clear.

Nevertheless I find this "birther" phenomenon very interesting, but the phenomenon of the "opposition to the birthers" even more so. The fact that people question pres. Obama's legitimacy is something remarkable. But the fact that anyone who legitimately questions the government gets labelled by the media with some derogatory nick name ("birther", "teabagger", "truther", "socialist", you name it) is even more remarkable. Are citizens not allowed to ask for answers to legitimate questions and concerns? If there is nothing to hide, why the fuss? Why not simply provide the evidence as asked for? Don't the American people have a right to investigate their government or is it law to accept anything the government says on faith? In other words, is America a fascist state where the government decides for you what is true and what is not?

I am perplexed at the animosity directed toward so called "birthers" (or other groups looking for answers). The amount of marginalization and dismissal is terrifying. Citizens are being ridiculed merely for exercising their fundamental rights. They are being compared to paranoid schizophrenic delusionals. Is that what American rights are considered to be? A paranoia? If you do not feel compelled to exercise your own rights, that is your free choice. But why ridicule the people that do?

Personally I am quite curious about the Obama legitimacy question. It is gaining more and more international attention. Surely the rest of the world would like to know as well if the man in the White House is legitimate. So the rest of the world is delusional too? Well... then so be it. Even more reason for me to find out the truth behind the birth certificate and be cured from my delusions.

Modern society is a vortex of radical evil from which no society will emerge because instead of aiming to transcend material and look toward the creative, soulful, ambitious side of life, modern society settles into endless bickering over redistribution of wealth and equality. It is as if humanity agreed to be hung up on its negative traits, and to fight over small matters, while ignoring the future that we can have -- and while ensuring us a doom through a system that by promoting material self-interests, guarantees we will consume our environment and ourselves. Modern society is at its essence a failure to see the big picture, mostly because of the "mass revolt" of option-limiting individual materialist/humanist morality , coupled with the technology that allows us to detach from our natural worlds and build a fantasy world of our own illusion. Modern society is going inward, an emotional and psychological reaction of withdrawing, instead of accepting life's negatives (death, natural selection) as part of a beautiful process and moving on to better things.

im not a grammar nazi, but i have laughed at each and every one of your posts i have read. you have some serious ego problems, judging by your need to use large words in a complicated sentence structure all the while not actually saying anything. "Modern society is a vortex of radical evil from which no society will emerge..." that doesnt even make sense mate... so you are saying todays society (Americas? who's society exactly) is a vortex of evil in which no society (no ones society, anywhere) from whence, may emerge..... i dont know man, but why do you feel the need to sound so intellectual and still not have a point?

also, you apparently forgot to use the spell checker on your name, which makes your air-filled statements even more hilarious.

Birthers are very bitter individuals who repeat things they've heard from the right wing media. No one takes them seriously as they're extremely immature moronic beings.

Sometimes we all need to grow up..birthers don't know how to

This may be the most asinine thread on this forum.

1. Race has nothing to do with calls for his birth certificate. Race is used as a tactic to avoid actually discussing the issue.

2. He has never produced a birth certificate just a certification of live birth (2 different things).

3. For a conspiracy forum there are way too many people content to take a governor's word on a document existing.

4. He has paid millions to hide his records.

5. People who, for whatever reason, blindly follow some rock-star leader are the ones in need of mental help.

I have to say something about the Christian thing,

You do realize the majority of African American voters who voted for Obama were, CHRISTIAN?

Humulsimis;

I not quite sure I understand what
you were getting at. Are you saying
that all 50 states have the same
birth certificate? How did you come
to that conclusion?

If that is the case then it really does
show some of what the O.P was referring
too. I stated a fact and you implied
I was lying.

I am almost positive that at least SOME birthers "suffer from advanced delusionary schizophrenia with involuntary narcissistic rage." I doubt that it's accurate to apply a sweeping generalization to the entire movement, though. There are probably also quite a few ACORN members with the same problem. I've met plenty of perfectly sane people who believe that Obama wasn't born in the U.S. The bottom line is, most of us weren't there when he was born so most of us will never truly know for sure.

I think the backbone of the Birther movement is the fact that a lot of people simply don't want Obama to be President. I don't blame them for that, the man is doing a terrible job and - much like his predecessor - has been breaking promises and defying the people since day one. Birthers think that if they can prove the Kenya birth rumors true then he will be impeached, and that their anti-Obama problems will be solved. And for that, Birthers are stupid.

Rahhh! Rahhh!!! I can hear them boiling in rage at me now. Hear me out. Birthers are not going to get anywhere with this. Congress and the Supreme Court are adamant that Obama is the President, Constitution and rules and laws be damned. Washington does what the billionaire club tells it to do, and right now the billionaire club is telling Obama to be the President. Things like "rights," "voting," "qualifications," "truth," "republic," and "democracy" are foreign concepts to them.

Your anti-Obama efforts would be better spent attacking the pocketbooks of the crooked billionaire lobbyists who are propping him up. Make it costly and publicly humiliating for them to push this agenda on us, and they'll start to look for other ideas. But this Birther crap?

Birthers, you are wasting your time. That strategy is simply a dead end, regardless of the truth!

If Obama where to be a "good president" in the minds of the haters, I'm sure nobody would care if he was American-born (except maybe the racists).

If he would have saved America and made it what it's supposed to be, people wouldn't care if he was "legit" or not.

I think that comment sums up this argument perfectly.

im willing to bet you actually think it sums up the argument

there are more legal questions about the nationality of the President. My question is there anyone here that is a lawyer from the UK. Kenya was part of the UK when the president was born. So the President at birth was an English citizen, right. The English laws change, but at the time if your parent was part of the UK you could claim English citizenship. Then throw citizenship laws of Kenya, which I have NO IDEA on, and American laws. You get a muddled mess. If the president was born in Hawii but used his English birthrite from his dad to go to another country what does that mean. There are tons of technacal questions that I cannot answer but being an American I am allowed to ask.

gorehoundlarry, if the issue had anything to do with maturity or "growing up" then your statement might have some merit, but seeing as it doesnt, it would be awesome for you to shut the hell up.

not drawing any more correlation than the one on the surface, but no one took people who said the earth WASNT flat seriously either. i suppose my point is that it doesnt matter one iota who or what takes someone seriously, if there is a shred of doubt in the matter, then a shred of doubt there shall remain.

you coming in here and painting "birthers" with such a wide brush, calling them extremely immature moronic beings brands you as extremely immature and moronic, if nothing else. i would say that i cant believe you would do such a brash and stupid thing, but then again, i would be lying.... i not only believe it, i expected it.

See, you did it here. You do not debate, you attack whilst getting emotional. It is unbecoming.

What was there to debate? You clearly had no premise and only accused me of things I did not do. I then present you with evidence contrary to what you stated and you don’t address it. No, in fact other members who sit on the birther side have actually said this about me:

i have to say you have done an excellent job actually providing answers rather then relying on heresay or smart comments to make your point like many others, i definitely applaud you for that

You’re trying to use fallacies because you lack a cogent argument so you’d rather shift your attack and focus on me. However, as I’ve just shown, others who have beliefs similar to yours have said the exact opposite of what you’re claiming, so someone must be lying, and that someone is you.

As I said, being vehement one way or the other, is a problem. I like to go into those threads and pick up info. The latest on the Hawaiian Official statement, had not been brought up to me before.

So you know what you do before you comment? You check out the info and you validate it first. Instead, you went in guns blazing and had to retract your statements. You immediately jumped the gun and another poster and myself had to correct you. Yes, you went back and corrected it, but you would not have needed to do it if you had never made the claims you did.

That shows you how long I had investigated the birther movement.
And I did pull my comments and posted that they had been proven mistaken. See, I can admit mistakes, people that cannot or people that HAVE to be right-have a disorder.

So why make certain claims before you know the entire picture? Critical thinkers usually withhold opinion or judgment until they’ve gathered as much info as possible. They then examine the info in a logical manner (deductive or inductive reasoning) and then proceed to give their assessment. No the problem you have is you want me to take responsibility for something that has never occurred. That will NEVER happen.

So no, I am not a birther. What I find ironic, is you and others like you, have to use emotional and other attacks because you cannot see the problem.

Please refer to the comment I posted from another user. There is nothing emotional in my post and no attacks were made.

It is called transparency. I am done here.

You got that right!

And why oh why doesn't he shut us all up by showing us the "long-form" birth certificate?

And why can't we see his parent's marriage certificate?

And why can't we see his college records?

For a man who ran on "transparency" he's awfully hypocritical. What's he hiding? And why are you defending his hypocrisy?

The only trouble with Obama is that he does not seem talented at, nor inclined toward spitting out the necessary half truths, propaganda, and frothing at the mouth hyperbole almost every red neck Republican politician needs to get these ignorant masses of unwashed weekend militants on his side.

nice way to quote some questions and then completely disregard them.

by the way, Obamas administration is no different than any previous to it... so what exactly are you saying?
