I dont know how it goes where your from, so im not gonna pretend to know. What you could tell your son is fight for what he wants. He wants that shipyard job at 21 an hour, then tell him to go get it. Its not just gonna show up at lap. Tell him to show the supervisors and employers that he works better then the rest and he is willing to do it with out questions. Thats how I take my jobs. I dont just go and expect to be givin a job because im legal, i also work for it fight for it if I want it.

Again at least thats the way I see from over here in Dallas, it may be a different situation where your from, so if it is, then kindly ignore this reply.

Peace!

i have a question about the alleged " stolen land " that is now california :

what happened to the people [ mexicans living there ] ?

i have a sneaking suspicion that they were sucessfully integrated into the USA

if so - what exactly was stolen ?

mexico has not exactly turned its northern provinces into a mirror of california - despite having gold ,silver and oil reserves - just like california

IMHO the real issue is that mexico now wants a bigger mexico that includes what the USA has turned california into

they dont want the land back - they want holywood , the ports of san diego and los angeles etc etc

Howdy Prove it. I feel the pain as well here in Texas. It's very obvious that people like psilo simon haven't been anywhere outside the U.S., or live in the real world, so I'd just ignore their posts.
Anyway, what do you think is the answer, or cure for this problem ? I have read a lot of history, and know of three times off the top of my head that Presidents have deported the illegals as it should be. What say you ?

1) Hire no more workers that cannot provide proof of citizenship. If you employ a gardener who fits that bill, fire him and hire American workers.

2) Boycott all business that have supported Amnesty, Illegal Immigration, or employ Illegals themselves.

3) Start blogs and use viral marketing tactics to upload multiple videos of the "evidence" of Illegal Immigration. Video tape parking lots, sneak video of Hospital waiting rooms, parks, moving companies, etc. People need to see it.

4) Call for more troops in useless wars for profit, and call on Congress people to bring troops home and protect the border.

5) Warn every Congressman about what can happen to them and use border cities/ states as an example.

6) Harass businesses that are KNOWN for employing Illegals. Call their district managers, Headquarters, etc. Make them know you are aware.

7) If you own a business, advertise that you speak English ONLY. Encourage friends to do so also.

8) Boycott boycott boycott....drown them out. Buy local, buy American.

9) Challenge your Congressmen at district or precinct meetings. Go with a group of like minded people and tell them you don't want to deal with it anymore. Go with a list of local businesses that employ Illegals and speak their names out in the open. Expose them in public.

10) Make up stickers that say "Illegals Hired Here"..or "Hates the American Worker"...something catchy. Post them on businesses you KNOW employ them. Pressure local places like Home Depot and other construction based Corporations.

11) Boycott Spanish speaking radio stations.

Nothing works without Marketing. You have to literally MARKET the idea that Illegal Immigration is harming us (weird huh?). Make it viral, make it known from all sides. Force the Gov and Corps to DEAL with you.

That's a start

I live on Long Island (in New York) and I have seen the Hispanic population explode as a result of illegal immigration. The main difference though is that most of the illegals here are from Central America and the Caribbean rather then Mexico. I have seen the quality of life go down the tubes

I also live in LI and I second that. Some immigrants hold "safe houses" for illegals (seen that myself) and truck them at night God knows where. Eventually there is foreclosure, safe house is gone but so it the housing value of the neighborhood.

"I worked, illegally. I went to college, illegally using a PELL grant, I voted, illegally I wasn't eligable..but no one EVER questioned me or my parents."

Actually, I would have a problem with that. Working illegally, you were either being paid under the table and thereby committing tax fraud, or you used a social security number that was made up, stolen or purchased committing tax fraud, social security fraud and identity theft and/or fraud. Not all illegal immigrants come from Mexico or Central/South America. In California though, about 85% of illegal immigrants are from Mexico/South America/Central America so there tends to be more awareness of those populations. Doesn't matter though, blond/blue eyed, you were still breaking the law.

Agreed with the fact that TPTB are at the root of the problem. Democrats want the votes, Republicans want the cheap labor for their corporate backers. But a country that will not protect it's borders will no longer be sovereign. America is one of the only countries that does not require proof of citizenship for voting. Mexico does. I know since that is an acceptable form of identification when applying to the IRS for an Individual Taxpayer Identification number.

2ManyQuestions, I feel for you. I lived in Garden Grove for a few years and my cousins went to school there. Only good thing about it was having Disneyland right up the street!

what happened to the people [ mexicans living there ] ?

The entire population of California in 1846 was about 8,000 Mexicans and roughly 2,000 American trappers and traders in addition to about 15,000 Indians from various tribes. The majority of the Mexicans actually welcomed US rule as they had long been ignored by Mexico City under both Spanish and Mexican rule.

Thanks you for summarizing the problem in such a succinct manner. That's the kind of soft-bellied country we have become, we are raped by foreign hordes but we don't EVER (capitalization yours) question any of that.

I am from New England and far from the border. There are places where there are stores, restaurants etc. with signs in spanish only. Many jobs now require you to speak english AND spanish. There is graffit and trash, gangs, thefts, etc. Our hospital here in town came close to closing and still may. These things are happening all over. Gun shots at night from a couple of houses up at night doesn't exactly make you feel safe. This was always a safe and quiet neighborhood. We have problems with gangs and drug dealers and thefts all the time.

In the once beautiful parks in the city, there is graffit, dirty diapers, trash. This is no way to live! It was never like this before.

Nope. My SS card was issued to me back in 1981, no questions asked. I paid taxes every year just like everyone else. I got paid via my legally obtained bank account which I obtained using legally obtained SS card and legally obtained DL. I worked for a major transporter of hazerdous materials which had many government contracts, including the DOD!

I recently called SSA to get my statement and even though there is a record of me having taken Volunatry deportation it still gets sent to me on request.

You people don't care about "illegal" immigration. You only care about brown illegal immigration. You see the people who come to America "the right way", are the types of immigrants you don't mind, the white professionals. That is why my family lived successfully in America for over 25 years Illegally.

You fight. You lose.

When I was surrounded by a gang of 6 to 8 threatening to bust my windows and kill my children and me.....nothing was done to them. But when i snatched one of the ground and placed him in a bear hug after he kept pushing his chest against mine and pulled his fist back like he was going to hit me, I got a wonderful $350 fine and simple assault charges.

Of course we will not even get into what started this, yes I will. Walking in the middle of the road with their underwear showing and I could not get by....even though there were sidewalks on both sides of the street. When I told them they were going to get hit walking in the middle of the street they then threw something at my car......yeah, you can fight for what you want but you are not allowed to defend yourself.

Then let's look at me getting pulled over by a minority state trooper.....once doing 63mph in a 65mph zone and charged with 81mph and then a second time doing 71mph in a 65mph zone while surrounded by three other cars by the same trooper no less. I'm a 46 year old male and bald so I guess it looks like I'm a skin head.....I pressed harrassment charges on the trooper and went to court against him. I took a polygraph test and told the desk sargeant I would pay for his and the missed time if they would make him take it....he never did. I had three witnesses (one being a detective) that caught him lieing about what had happened and yet the DA told me I cannot win. Did I mention the polygraph examiner stated that anything above a 7 was considered truthful and I made a 17, the highest his machine registered?

That little incident has costed me over $4,000 in fines, testing, missed work and insurance premium increases.

Then let's look at the affirmative action....that's a joke. To work at the mechanic shop of which I had just gained employment for the summer you had to work 1 day for free as your "resume" for the job. I beat out the other 5 "applicants" and was working as a mechanic. Shortly after that I had to be released, a minority was required on the books in this three person shop and guess what....I was not a relative so who lost their job?

I can go on and on about injustices done by reverse descrimination, and no....there is no fighting back without dire consequences or waste of money.

Rich

............

Foreign horde indeed....There are many countries who are saying the same about the US.

Your country was once great, it wasn't the foriegn horde who destroyed it, it was your own ( not you personally, but you know what I mean) complacancy.

You can't go back now, sorry.

I haven't spoken to her in years and she won't tell my mom what her hubby was convicted of but says he was innocent (yea, twice?) anyway, they got married at the courthouse.....how is that possible? Don't you have to provide identification to anyone anymore? They live in Arkansas, the problem is bad there to. No one cross references any information and even if they did they wouldn't load them up and send them home. My sister and her husband now have a child......imagine that. We don't even watch the recently released from prison felon illegal aliens. It's America's fault they are here and taking over.....but the liberals got their votes huh?

Uh...marriage makes your brother in law a citizen of the USA, unless your sister is a foreigner.

Good post OP

Unfortunatly I can't feel your pain. But I at lease understand whats going on. But I can see that we too have an increasing number of different ethnicities.

But,up here in Quebec, Canada, we actually have laws on our language (loi 101, for those who are interested).

So just wanted to say good post and good luck my friends.

If not for illegal immigration I would be a step down on the social ladder. They did all the work us white people didn't want to do. Thank you illegals.
