If Alex Jones did not mean to defraud anyone, he would have stuck the disclaimer in before he posted the whole hoax, pure and simple.
You can't really believe Alex did this for altruistic purposes, can you? I mean, posting a big lie regarding 9/11 truth to get mainstream media attention? Do you NOT see the sheer retarded stupidity of such a stunt?
If you can't, let me spell it out for you. The media, if they even bothered to notice, would catch on to the fact that a self styled crusader for the 9/11 truth movement posted a massive fraud that truthers themselves believed. THATS what any media report would say: Truth Movement figureheads are con-artists, and truthers themselves are a bunch of guillable sheep who will believe anything posted online.
To open the truth movement up to more people beside, pardon, us nutjobs.
And that helps the truth movement....how?
Really, all this defense of Alex Jones reminds me of the little old ladies defending Jim Baker after his whole scam busted wide open.

Maybe Jones doesn't do it the way everyone would like him to, but he is out there fighting the fight. In essence, whether these posters choose to believe it or not, he is with them.

I am so disappointed with these so called 9/11 truthers here on ATS. Some of you have put out some really good research peaces but now it is all going to waste, thanks to your own egos and ignorance.

When anyone on ATS has the cojones to sneak into the Bohemian Grove and stake out the Bilderbergs then I will accept that they have the same level of commitment as Alex Jones. He and Icke have been doing it for years in spite of the ridicule and pies in the face. The rest of us are noobs compared to guys like these.
Are they perfect? No. None of us are. They are doing the best they can.
This all feels like those people who drop a rock band once it becomes popular: The White Stripes are sellouts, I tell you. Sellouts!
Commitment and honesty are two very different things.

It wasn't a lie. It was a work of fiction.
It was a war of the worlds type of thing. Can't you guys see that?
