conscious Oobe....It's Real!!

hi all reading about oobe i'm starting to get the impression that it could be dangerous

i read that people come across demons and negitivity and this really worries me will some evil thing be able to steal my body

also could you be opening yourself up to negitive beings in such a way that they start to use your energies etc therfore being affected in the physical and at night time when you sleep?

just a little scared about attempting this now
perhaps i shouldn't

could any one clear up my worries oobe sounds like it can be a wonderful experience i just don't want my soul stolen by something evil

The sound came strong last night. I did a roll out technique, and found myself facing the ceiling next to my bed. I had to 'adjust' my vision lol.....and yes I could see.......
I went into my sons room and did alot of 'bouncing around' in front of his sleeping form. I wanted to see if he would stir, or show some sign to acknowledge I was there.....or that maybe he might also 'pop out' and come fly with me. He just slept on however...I do not know how I would go about 'yanking' somebody, and wonder if my nearness would bring this on but in the case of my son it does not seem to work like that.
The cat though, seemed really happy to see me and was standing straight up and watching me and purring.....
I thought about how its supposed to be more dificult to sustain OOBE in this dimention, and wondered where I would be natuarally drawn to.....I decided to just 'GO with whatever flow' and started moving and left the house.

Starts rushing by......I saw a red flash of light that illuminated the area. I watched it and it seemed like a blood red falling star.......just movement, and space flying......I wonder where I am going? Am I choosing this space flight? Am I being attracted like a magnet somewhere out there?? I kept whooshing through space and the starts kept flying by.......
I start thinking MAYBE I have some purpose out here, or a real destination. Some of the stars seemed more colorfull than I was used to, so I was glad I was seeing better.....space is pretty boaring really lol.....I started to think about things in the NOW time that I would like to explore and POOF BAM! I am back in my body.......I roll over and get comfy again, and the sounds come back.........
I get out again, and this time try to NOT THINK about anything, I just got clear vision......I wanted to be very calm and still in my mind and see where that would take me......and as usuall I am flying in space again, and this time I am going backwards and watching planet earth get smaller....Its amazing the speed I move at this HAS to be somewhere neer the speed of light.....there has to be SOMEWHERE I am actually headed I would think.......but I don't know. MAYBE I just keep flying in the stars because this is what my 'yanker' did with me and I just keep repeting it for some reason unknown to me.....like a habit?? I dunno......its a quandery.

I have similar symptoms before I have a grand mal seizure. Its called an Aura. I get a whooshing sound, feeling of leaving my body, ringing in my ears, It would actually be quite pleasant if it were not for the actual seizure. I wonder if there is a connection here? I too am very interested in oobe and thanx to rivergoddess for the thread!

OK...I see the ABOVE typo repeted...and I cant edit it....so........I do not mean to say ~STARTS~ I do mean STARS..............I say starts 2 times when I mean STARS......
....duh I have dyslexia and typing is harder for me than most. I make alot of spelling/typing mistakes as I am sure you have seen....I try and fix them when I catch them, but sometimes I just do not SEE them......

He wasn't being a jerk TRG. After all he did make it know that he was making a sarcastic remark and not a serious one.

Trying to make a lighthearted joke of your experiences and such. As in how worked up you can get with energy and bounce around due to it. He's a seeker just like you are, only with a different personality.

I love when people try to analyse me on my behaviour xD Its actually pretty awesome because they almost never get it right. (reminds me of a girl I met in Counter Strike, that predicted I was 13 because I said 'rofl'... I'm 15, and I told her but she still considered it "I was right", lol)

GRRR, CUSS, SWEAR!!!!!

I cannot get this! I’ve incorporated all of the tips and tricks provided in this thread to no avail. I have even set my alarm to go off every 45 minutes to prevent me from falling asleep. To tell you the truth I was skeptical of the entire obe until I ran across this thread. After reading RG experiences and her enthusiasm, well lets just say she convinced me. I’m a dedicated and driven pupil and have a single mindedness when in comes to acquiring certain abilities. So all you adepts out there reading this that have the ability to “pull” me out please U2U me and I’ll give you whatever info needed in order to locate me. I would be extremely thankful.

for someone like me who is a complete new at all of this. I want to experience a obe without doiing all the reading and ect... Can I accomplish this on just my true desire alone? Can someone help me do it? I have had several times when i was just sitting or lying down and very comfortable after a long round of golf or something physical, when i would just kinda does off with my eyes open and suddenly feel like i floated above me for a sec and then realized it and snapped back to being conscious and aware. Is this the start of a obe? Will someone help me ?

can you accept the fact you are worried?
What happens once you see this, and accept it?

then you may find that you are fine.

When I (popped out aint the right word, more like bio-locate) I was afraid.
(of my mother in law)

but, yeah, fear can mess you up without having to be out of your body...It is my opinion that religion helps build a lot of fear towards stuff like this, or anything in that matter. so work through your fear (eckhart has good methods) start loving yourself, and then see whats next

I think people can only remotely recommend the states of mind they were in, and how they got there, when it happened.

For me, each time it happened, wasnt through me wanting it...it just happened.
Once, recently, I bio-located my friend...freaking cool, but I cant repeat it...it either happens (at least with me) or it doesnt, though it gets stronger each time.

For all I know I was dying.

I think that its impossible to die by OOBE... You're soul is mentally connected to your body, which is still awake... How else do you think stuff like: "Lets fly to the moon... Or lets do slow-motion bullet-time like in matrix", I don't know, I just don't think your soul would think about stuff like that.

It's always been my understanding that your soul is who you are, the central part of your being. I’ve been taught that we are a tripartite being, body/soul/spirit. The body containing the most base desires. Like sexual desires, drug abuse, gluttony and all sorts of instant gratifications. The soul is more noble consisting of mind, volition/will and emotions. Finally the most regal or holy part of man or woman is spirit that consists of intuition and communion. It is our soul that decides through volition which one it will follow. The spirit is what gives us life so in OBE it is MY understanding that the spirit stays in the body while the soul exits and you enjoy the experience. If it were the spirit you would only get it intuitively and that after your soul (mind) grapples with it enough to understand what is actually taking place. I am hoping that is what takes place since I haven’t had the pleasure of having a successful OBE YET!

The more I read on it the more I’m leaning to the entire experience being more of a lucid type of dreaming. Let me explain, in many of the techniques that a lot of books give they want you to visualize with as much clarity as possible your surroundings, or visualize another “self” then try to project your consciousness into this “visualized self”. With all this visualization going on it leads me to believe the whole experience takes place in the mind. Which explains a lot of the varying types of experiences that I have read in this thread. Those that believe in ET’s and Reptilians encounter ET’s and Reptilians. Others believe in Demons and encounter evil presences, while there are those that don’t really believe in either have an awesome time without ever encountering any weird entities. I hope I am wrong and I’m hoping I will find out through experience which one it is.

This word stands out to me and I wanna talk about this paticular word.....

I know EXACTLY what you are saying here, but have never heard this particular ~WORD~(tripartite)
The word I have heard and used for the same definition is TRIUNE..(try-oon)...like 'we are beings of a triune nature', being 3 parts.
Sometimes people have asked me to define this and I have.

NOW reading your word for it I wonder if I am wrong and your word is more correct???
this is something I want to look into, for this aspect of our nature IS A FACT and I want to make sure I am useing the correct verbage to explain my self..........hmmmmmmmmm.

Thanks RG, I know my spelling grammar ect is atrocious and I was hoping someone would get what I was trying to say.

Anyways I stole that WORD from a book that I read, Spiritual man by Watchman Nee. I don’t know what your take is on God; especially the God of the Bible but it doesn’t matter. The book consists of three parts; the first part breaks down what I was trying to explain. Since you already think along those lines then I HIGHLY recommend you read this book. Watchman Nee has an insight and understanding concerning this area that far exceeds any other authors I have read. I find myself only able to read a paragraph or two then meditating for a while to make sure I truly understood where he was coming from. When you read the book you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. BTW I’ve used triune also.

I'm not going to thwart your beliefs, because thats not where I belong, but its always refered to as mind/body/soul or "mind, body and soul"... In what I gather from a logic point of view; In your daily life your combined as one within those 3 structures (tripartite or triune or whatever) and the mind is what holds all emotion, choices and other human contributions. The body is what makes us able to interact with the physical world, it is our 'interface'. Your soul... Is an avatar of your true self, but even though it is an avatar of your true self, it does not mean that exactly has to serve a purpose other than to connect you to the etheral worlds.

Most claim that when you sleep, your soul wanders out of your body. Well, that could explain one attempt to why people try to keep their minds awake while the body is asleep. They focus on nothing emotion and nothing less natural than the essence of breathing... (atleast this is what I have been taught) By doing this, you will reach Theta or Delta stages though still be awake (Theta and Delta are stages of activity... In this case, Theta is drowiness or sleep and Delta is deep sleep) mentally.

When this is accomplished, your attention will still be focused on your breathing, and your soul will slowly start to wander out on its own, or you will have to 'push' it out... (I guess when you are in a deep sleep, the mind has its own little function to automaticly push it out on its own)... You have now left your 'shell' and your attention is now on what you attempt to do in the etheral world (hence: mind-soul connection as in my previous post).

In conclusion, as I earlier said: You can't die because of this mental connection, and the logic assumption/question here is: "Is your soul doing the matrix bullet-time movements or is your mind?"

--> If mind; Then what I said above should be close to true.

Anyway, I know nothing

EDIT: I can't meditate while lying down, so I gotta sit in some Yoga postures on the floor instead, but works fine for me... Just so you know
