I know what you mean, I'm lucky to have a fairly slow job and 8 hours at a computer to pick away at it throughout the day as this collaboration is moving VERY quickly. It's a bummer you can't keep up as I was looking forward to your contributions but at least we get another twisted fatality to deal with those are always fun to work out.

Hang tight guys, I had a main breaker near tragedy today, I have help here doing repairs and am SHOCKED!!!!! at the turn of events! I Was JUST discovering at the data center the intruder! It was even sweet talking our coms control center somehow to keep its existence a secret...

I promise to return this evening after a few stiff shots of Rigellian Astro Ale... (No repeats of my behavior on Betelgeuse...)

I am floored by the scene! Cant wait to get back to the story... Woo Hoo! Things are really getting intense on the Yydryl.

Loam I am sorry the rewrite last night was nowhere as good as the original but I explained it in the u2u, lol!

Now everyone else!!! STAY!!!! No more people leaving or dying, and I even love that the Stowaway has been discovered as it is one of my favorite characters... Can I keep it as a pet? You may all see it as dangerous and unpredictable but I miss my fishcat back at home already and am kind of the Rigellian ellie May type when it comes down to it.

Nah, youre just paranoid like the rest of us, actually I am really let down but then they have explained pretty clearly the reasons why, and anyone can leave that was in the rules, Nature wont have to take anyone out for a while as we are already dropping like flies and have not even met the first bloody battle...

Ok Yydryl lets get blasting!

This difference in orders could be attributed to different command styles. One want's to keep us quarantined, while the other thinks we should return home. The crew may split along the return home or stay here line. It might be interesting to let it continue. Just a thought, please tell me what you think.

Plus since it was mentioned a couple of time that communications are down with engineering and only hand delivered messages got out.

Now with Seeker sealing off all the bulkheads those messages won't even get out. It actually makes sense now that the acting captain John Q would be unable to talk to the crew....for now at least.

I didn't see her first choice, but somehow I saw myself as more....neutral. Oh, and did I happen to mention "green"?

Oh great here you all are. I have been hesitant to commit to my character and not sure how to get on the ship.

But let me say you have all done an amazing job. It was such a fun read and I am a SciFi fanatic. Really a fun story. I had plans but I thought maybe I should wait for the capitan.

Get to writing you all, I want to read more. LOL

I guess I should get to it as well.

Yeah, "quantum tunnelling" - outside of spacetime, therefore "timeless", hence instantaneous communication across HUGE distances. Beyond Federation technology at this point too. That works. Good catch.

Right now we have Penelope on total lockdown (and dead in the "water"), Studious locked in sick bay, neno thinking he's up on charges locked up in the brig and crazy as a bedbug to boot, Capt. Luder either still in engineering, or a corridor, or the brig (not sure of his location at the instant of lockdown) also thinking he'll be up on charges, and not even knowing why, Acting Cpt. JohnQ on lockdown in engineering, and Theresa on lockdown "in the wild", Thor only knows what she's up to, everybody else on lockdown on the bridge. On top of that, we got NO comm, not even runners, hence no way for Seeker to notify any of us "victims" that he located a mind-control brain-wave sweep of some sort That MIGHT get us off the hook. AND if any more brain-scans come in, Seekers either gonna blow US up in a thermic fireball, or blow THEM up in a thermic fireball.

That about sum it up for Penelope? Right about now, neno's thinking that being stranded in a trackless, planet-wide jungle, dining on uktena ribs, might not have been as bad as he first thought

Why, oh why, did he ever give up the mercenary trade and sign on with the Federation Space Service?

Getting shot at daily on a regular basis wasn't really all THAT bad, now was it?

My dear old dad TOLD me there would be days like this!



edit to add: the hull breach lockdown was a masterpiece. We may be unable to move, at all, but neither can we cause damage. Imagine our confusion, though! And how is EITHER of the Captains going to issue any orders? Somebody has some figuring to do. Neno's going back to sleep on his prison cot.

He is SOooo Hot! Yes and he is our Intere(xx) Captain. It just makes the whole plot so much... juicer. Some passion play considering Loam is surrounded by WOMEN!!! But I digress, Whisper will be disgusted by his lack of appendages... And remember he is about 7 feet tall and 480 lbs... (Hum) I think that the female readers will enjoy his character even more now, lol. Yet it is not his real state, so if you look at the two you will see the resemblence so as a MS species consider thats how good looking he is, yuck! That oral fixation had to be humanised. He just cant go around eating himself or chowing down on his fist!

Not to be mean or anything but my kids and I laughed so hard saying that he could eat himself and it would grow back instantly. By the time he got to his wrist the hands were reabsorbed back to his form again. Would be great for the habitual munchie type.

Any who I am stalling huh? Bye.

Oh and CindyMars, if you want you can be in statis with the Captain, he could save you on his way out, or die saving you, I dont know any more this is so life threatning... But welcome aboard!

Man, I'm saving that post and keeping a hard copy - that was the funniest sum-up of the situation I could have imagined.

I'm all sitting here panicking trying to figure out what to type next and you just come out with this hilarious synopsis.

For story purposes - the Captain and his First Officer (who doesn't exist!) have the codes to move between the locked down areas on the ship during a quarantine style lockdown.

For other lockdowns - the Engineer, the Doctor, and all other Heads have the codes to move about as well, if needed.
